Title translation Psychological traits and quality of life of patients with hypertension and metabolic risk factors.
Abstract Psychological status and quality of life were assessed in 75 patients with mild and moderate hypertension and metabolic disturbances. Patients with hypertension and metabolic risk factors compared with patients without these factors were characterized by higher frequency of neurotic disorders, worse quality of life and mood, lower activity. It is suggested that psychic disorders which are rather frequent in patients with hypertension affect negatively clinical course of underlying disease, complicate clinical picture of hypertension, and cause patient's denial of continuous antihypertensive therapy.

Title translation Mental disorders in patients with arterial hypertension with metabolic disturbances.
Abstract A battery of psychological tests has been used to study the psychic state and quality of life in 75 patients with mild and moderate arterial hypertension (AH) with or without (controls) different metabolic disturbances (diabetes mellitus, dyslipidaemia, obesity). Comparing to controls, the AH patients with metabolic disturbances suffered more frequently from different psychic disorders of neurotic register and their quality of life, general condition, activity and mood proved to be significantly worse. The authors conclude that psychological testing may be an important diagnostic tool in general hospital. It allows identification of the borderline mental disorders features, the correction of which appears to be of great importance for basic disease course and its therapy.

Abstract Flow coefficients v_{n} of the orders n=1-6 are measured with the High-Acceptance DiElectron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI for protons, deuterons, and tritons as a function of centrality, transverse momentum, and rapidity in Au+Au collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=2.4  GeV. Combining the information from the flow coefficients of all orders allows us to construct for the first time, at collision energies of a few GeV, a multidifferential picture of the angular emission pattern of these particles. It reflects the complicated interplay between the effect of the central fireball pressure on the emission of particles and their subsequent interaction with spectator matter. The high precision information on higher order flow coefficients is a major step forward in constraining the equation of state of dense baryonic matter.

Title translation Psychophysiological health aspects of population living in radiation-contaminated territories.
Abstract A combined psychophysiologic study of 100 individuals living in territories contaminated by radionuclides and 60 people from ecologically clean region. There were no significant differences in the incidence of neurotic disorders between people from these regions (61.2 and 65.3%, respectively). The highest sensitivity to small radiation doses was observed at rather young age (20-40 years). It was found that a considerable role in the development of borderline psychic disorders belongs to both somatic disturbances due to low-dose radiation and psychogenic effects. A combined action of psychogenic and somatogenic factors aggravated symptoms of neurotic disorders and promoted widening of a range of psychic disturbances. Some part of the population from the contaminated territories tended to the development of cerebro-vascular psychoorganic pathology resultant from a breakdown of the reserves of the adaptation. Now the stress factor of radionuclides exposure is not so important as social and economic problems.

Abstract We present the first observation of K^{-} and ϕ absorption within nuclear matter by means of π^{-}-induced reactions on C and W targets at an incident beam momentum of 1.7  GeV/c studied with HADES at SIS18/GSI. The double ratio (K^{-}/K^{+})_{W}/(K^{-}/K^{+})_{C} is found to be 0.319±0.009(stat)_{-0.012}^{+0.014}(syst) indicating a larger absorption of K^{-} in heavier targets as compared to lighter ones. The measured ϕ/K^{-} ratios in π^{-}+C and π^{-}+W reactions within the HADES acceptance are found to be equal to 0.55±0.04(stat)_{-0.07}^{+0.06}(syst) and to 0.63±0.06(stat)_{-0.11}^{+0.11}(syst), respectively. The similar ratios measured in the two different reactions demonstrate for the first time experimentally that the dynamics of the ϕ meson in nuclear medium is strongly coupled to the K^{-} dynamics. The large difference in the ϕ production off C and W nuclei is discussed in terms of a strong ϕN in-medium coupling. These results are relevant for the description of heavy-ion collisions and the structure of neutron stars.

Abstract Measurements of multiplicity and transverse momentum fluctuations of charged particles were performed in inelastic p+p interactions at 20, 31, 40, 80 and 158 GeV/c beam momentum. Results for the scaled variance of the multiplicity distribution and for three strongly intensive measures of multiplicity and transverse momentum fluctuations \$\Delta[P_{T},N]\$, \$\Sigma[P_{T},N]\$ and \$\Phi_{p_T}\$ are presented. For the first time the results on fluctuations are fully corrected for experimental biases. The results on multiplicity and transverse momentum fluctuations significantly deviate from expectations for the independent particle production. They also depend on charges of selected hadrons. The string-resonance Monte Carlo models EPOS and UrQMD do not describe the data. The scaled variance of multiplicity fluctuations is significantly higher in inelastic p+p interactions than in central Pb+Pb collisions measured by NA49 at the same energy per nucleon. This is in qualitative disagreement with the predictions of the Wounded Nucleon Model. Within the statistical framework the enhanced multiplicity fluctuations in inelastic p+p interactions can be interpreted as due to event-by-event fluctuations of the fireball energy and/or volume.
