Abstract ObjectiveThe present study aimed to explore the value of a digital management system based on micro digital imaging technology for the medical records of patients with cerebral hemorrhage.MethodsA total of 540 patients with intracerebral hemorrhage diagnosed and treated in the hospital from November 2016 to November 2019 were selected as the subjects of this study. A digital management system based on micro digital imaging technology was used to establish how to handle the medical records of these patients.ResultsThe medical record management process of patients with cerebral hemorrhage comprises five modules: medical record editing, medical record querying, medical record borrowing management, statistical analysis, and system maintenance. The purpose of these is to manage and store digitalised medical records for patients, present the most useful information on the first page of the medical records, monitor the safety of the medical records, and enable real-time data sharing.ConclusionEstablishing a digital management system based on micro digital imaging technology for the medical records of patients with cerebral hemorrhage can effectively enable the preservation and use of these documents. It improves information management, such as data sharing, security, and the overall level of information. This is worth promoting.

Abstract Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) combined with aneurysms is not uncommon, but AVM of the basilar artery, brainstem, and right middle cerebral artery combined with multiple intracranial aneurysms (IAs) is rare. Cases of aneurysm protrusion into the optic canal are also rare. We report a distinctive case of intracranial AVM combined with multiple IAs and partial protrusion of a cavernous segment aneurysm of the right internal carotid artery into the optic nerve canal. Teaching Point: Cases of partial protrusion of a cavernous segment aneurysm of the right internal carotid artery into the optic canal, resulting in widening of the optic canal compared to the contralateral side, compression, thickening and swelling of the subocular veins, and obstruction of venous drainage warrant the clinician’s attention.

Abstract Abstract Hot springs are extreme ecological environments of microbes. The study is the first comparative analysis of bacterial diversity of Tangchi and Bantang hot spring water samples collected in Hefei, China, which is conducive to the further development and utilization of microbial resources in hot springs. Illumina MiSeq system was utilized to sequence and analyze the bacterial 16S rRNA gene from hot spring water samples by bioinformatics, to probe into the bacterial abundance and diversity of two hot springs in Hefei. Results revealed that prevalent bacterial phyla in Tangchi hot spring were Bacillota and Aquificota, and the prevalent bacterial genus was Hydrogenobacter; prevalent phyla in Bantang hot spring were Pseudomonadota followed by Actinobacteriota, and prevalent genera were CL500-29_marine_group and Polynucleobacter. More species and higher evenness in Bantang hot spring than those in Tangchi hot spring. In MetaCyc pathway analysis, the major pathways of metabolism existed in the bacteria from the two hot springs were ‘pyruvate fermentation to isobutanol (engineered)’, ‘acetylene degradation’, ‘carbon fixation pathways in prokaryotes’, ‘nitrate reduction I (denitrification)’, ‘methanogenesis from acetate’, ‘superpathway of glucose and xylose degradation’, etc.

Abstract The causes of sore throat are complex. It can be caused by diseases of the pharynx, adjacent organs of the pharynx, or even systemic diseases. Therefore, a lack of medical knowledge and experience may cause misdiagnoses or missed diagnoses in sore throat diagnoses, especially for general practitioners in primary hospitals. This study aims to develop a computer-aided diagnostic system to assist clinicians in the differential diagnoses of sore throat. The computer-aided system is developed based on the Dynamic Uncertain Causality Graph (DUCG) theory. We cooperated with medical specialists to establish a sore throat DUCG model as the diagnostic knowledge base. The construction of the model integrates epidemiological data, knowledge, and clinical experience of medical specialists. The chain reasoning algorithm of the DUCG is used for the differential diagnoses of sore throat. The system can diagnose 27 sore throat-related diseases. The model builder initially tests it with 81 cases, and all cases are correctly diagnosed. Then the system is verified by the third-party hospital, and the diagnostic accuracy is 98%. Now, the system has been applied in hundreds of primary hospitals in Jiaozhou City, China, and the degree of recognition for doctors to the diagnostic results of the system is more than 99.9%. It is feasible to use DUCG for the differential diagnoses of sore throat, which can assist primary doctors in clinical diagnoses and the diagnostic results are acceptable to clinicians.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the causes, pathogenesis and prognosis of shunt displacement in arachnoid cyst. Methods: Retrospective analysis was made on the case of the left frontal top arachnoid cyst peritoneal shunt self-extraneous and cured in our hospital in November 2019. Combined with literature review, the treatment and prognosis of shunt displacement after arachnoid cyst peritoneal shunt were discussed. Results: Arachnoid cyst disappeared children heal, clinical symptoms improved, wipe out the shift shunt, literature review arachnoid cyst peritoneal shunt tube shift and recover rare, mainly for the shunt tube distal displacement, falling in the scrotum, emergence anus, and shift to the chest, or even a heart, required reoperation processing, timely deal with good prognosis. Conclusion: Arachnoid cyst peritoneal shunt may be an effective method for the treatment of cerebral convex arachnoid cyst in children, and it also suggests that the shunt tube can be removed after the disappearance of cerebral convex arachnoid cyst. Shunt tube displacement is rare in clinic and needs timely surgical treatment.

Abstract Most of the existing emotion elicitation databases use the film clips as stimuli and do not take into account the age and gender differences of participants. Considering the short videos have the advantages of short in time, easy to understand and strong emotional appeal, we choose them to construct a standardized database of Chinese emotional short videos by the joint analysis of age and gender differences. Two experiments are performed to establish and validate our database. In the Experiment 1, we selected 240 stimuli from 2700 short videos and analyzed the subjective evaluation results of 360 participants with different ages and genders. As a result, a total of 54 short videos with three categories of emotions were picked out for 6 groups of participants, including the male and female respectively aged in 20-24, 25-29 and 30-34. In the Experiment 2, we recorded the EEG signals and subjective experience scores of 81 participants while watching different video stimuli. Both the results of EEG emotion recognition and subjective evaluation indicate that our database of 54 short videos can achieve better emotion elicitation effects compared with film clips. Furthermore, the targeted delivery of specific short videos has also been verified to be effective, helping the researchers choose appropriate emotional elicitation stimuli for different participants and promoting the study of individual differences in emotion responses.

Abstract Background Chinese medicinal retention enemas have gradually attracted the attention of clinicians as an alternative approach for tubal obstructive infertility. The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of conventional surgery combined with traditional Chinese medicinal retention enemas for the treatment of tubal obstructive infertility. Materials and methods Eight electronic databases were searched from their inception to November 30, 2022. To assess the efficacy and safety of different treatments, following outcomes were measured: clinical pregnancy rate, clinical total effective rate, incidence of ectopic pregnancy, the improvement of Traditional Chinese Medicinal (TCM) symptoms, the improvement of the signs of obstructive tubal infertility and side effects. Results A total of 23 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) with 1909 patients met the inclusion criteria. The pooled results showed a higher pregnancy rate in the experimental group than in the control group (RR 1.75, 95% CI [1.58, 1.94], Z = 10.55, P<0.00001). The clinical total effective rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (RR 1.28, 95% CI [1.23, 1.34], Z = 11.07, P<0.00001). The incidence of ectopic pregnancy in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group (RR 0.40, 95% CI [0.20, 0.77], Z = -2.73, P = 0.01). Conclusion Based on current evidence, we concluded that conventional surgery combined with traditional Chinese medicinal retention enema for tubal obstructive infertility was superior to conventional surgery alone in improving the clinical pregnancy rate, improving clinical total effective rate, improving TCM symptoms, improving the signs of obstructive tubal infertility and lowering the incidence of ectopic pregnancy. However, further clinical trials with high-quality methodologies need to be conducted.
