Abstract With the increase in the number of high-dimensional data, the characteristic phenomenon of unbalanced distribution is increasingly presented in various big data applications. At the same time, most of the existing clustering and feature selection algorithms are based on maximizing the clustering accuracy. In addition, the hybrid approach can effectively solve the clustering problem of unbalanced data. Aiming at the shortcomings of the unbalanced data clustering algorithm, a hybrid high-dimensional multi-objective PSO clustering algorithm is proposed based on the cloud model and entropy (HHCE-MOPSO). Furthermore, the feasibility of the hybrid PSO is verified by the simulation of the multi-objective test function. The results not only broaden the new theory and method of clustering algorithm for unbalanced data, but also verify the accuracy and feasibility of the hybrid PSO. Furthermore, the clustering analysis method based on information entropy is a new method. As a result, the research results have both important scientific value and good practical significance.

Abstract Flexibility has become a certain trend in the development of secondary batteries to meet the requirements of wide portability and applicability. On account of their intrinsic high energy density, flexible alkali metal-chalcogen batteries are attracting increasing interest. Although great advances have been made in promoting the electrochemical performance of metal-S or metal-Se batteries, explorations on flexible chalcogen-based batteries are still limited. Extensive and rational use of soft materials for electrodes is the main bottleneck. The re-emergence of safe liquid metals (LMs), which provide an ideal combination of metallic and fluidic properties at room temperature, offers a fascinating paradigm for constructing flexible chalcogen batteries. They may provide dendrite-free anodes and restrain the dissolution of polysulfides and polyselenides for cathodes. From this perspective, we elaborate on the appealing features of LMs for the construction of flexible metal-chalcogen batteries. Recent advances on LM-based battery are discussed, covering novel liquid alkali metals as anodes and LM-sulfur hybrids as cathodes, with the focus placed on durable high-energy-density output and self-healing flexible capability. At last, perspectives are proposed on the future development of LM-based chalcogen batteries, and the viable strategies to meet the current challenges that are obstructing more practical flexible chalcogen batteries.

Abstract Eutrophication is a global aquatic environmental problem. Traditional biomanipulation targeting keystone species has been effective for restoring eutrophic lakes. In this study, we conducted monthly fishery assessments and identified keystone species in Zhushan Bay of Taihu Lake, the most representative lake in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. We built the topological structure of Zhushan Bay's food web based on feeding relationships and calculated network indices of fish groups in the food web using network analysis, combined with Key Player Problem operation. Culter mongolicus, Culter alburnus, Protosalanx hyalocranius and Salangichthys tangkahkeii were the keystone species in Zhushan Bay's food web. Culter mongolicus and Culter alburnus had the greatest impact on the food web after removal. Protosalanx hyalocranius had the fastest speed of transmitting information. Salangichthys tangkahkeii was the key baitfish with the strongest ability to determine structure of species in higher trophic levels. Our study provided a reference for scientific management of shallow lake ecosystems and biological solutions for restoration of eutrophic lakes.

Abstract Based on the panel data of China’s industrial carbon emissions from 2015 to 2022, the S-SBM model is scientifically used to measure the industrial carbon emission efficiency, and a spatial model is constructed to empirically analyze the spatial effect of industrial digitalization on carbon emission efficiency. From the regional perspective, it is interesting to find that industrial digitization has shown an overall downward trend of the central, western and northeastern regions showing a roughly N-shaped trend of change. From an industry perspective, we also find that industrial digitization has a relatively high overall impact on the carbon emissions performance of the mining industry with significant changes in the performance of electricity and heat and gas and water production and supply industries. Therefore, the experimental results effectively provide the substantive empirical evidence for policy makers on how to best promote the development of industrial digitization and strengthen the effective application of digital technology affecting carbon emission control in China.

Abstract Transition metal chalcogenides as potential anodes for lithium-ion batteries have been widely investigated. For practical application, the drawbacks of low conductivity and volume expansion should be further overcome. Besides the two conventional methods of nanostructure design and the doping of carbon-based materials, the component hybridization of transition metal-based chalcogenides can effectively enhance the electrochemical performance owing to the synergetic effect. Hybridization could promote the advantages of each chalcogenide and suppress the disadvantages of each chalcogenide to some extent. In this review, we focus on the four different types of component hybridization and the excellent electrochemical performance that originated from hybridization. The exciting problems of hybridization and the possibility of studying structural hybridization were also discussed. The binary and ternary transition metal-based chalcogenides are more promising to be used as future anodes of lithium-ion batteries for their excellent electrochemical performance originating from the synergetic effect.

Abstract Objective: To analyze the effect of stump-preserving repair on rotator cuff healing and shoulder function for degenerative total rotator cuff tears.
Methods: A clinical data of 152 patients with degenerative total rotator cuff tears, who underwent arthroscopic repair between April 2019 and May 2022, was retrospectively analyzed. There were 76 males and 76 females with an average age of 55.4 years (range, 24-78 years). MRI was performed at 6 months postoperatively to evaluate the rotator cuff healing according to the Sugaya classification. Pre- and intra-operative related factors were included for univariate analysis, including age (≥60 years/<60 years), gender (male/female), passive activity disorder (yes/no), disease duration (≤3 months/>3 months), stump-preserving repair (yes/no), use of suture bridge technique (yes/no), shoulder joint abduction angle at knotting (<45°/≥45°), acromioplasty (yes/no), glucocorticoid injection (yes/no), time for patients to start postoperative passive exercise (≤2 weeks/>2 weeks), and time for patients to start postoperative active exercise (≤3 months/>3 months). The influencing factors of tendon healing were screened; further logistic regression was used to conduct multivariate analysis to screen for risk factors. Two sets of data were balanced by propensity score matching. The American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) score and Constant-Murley score of shoulder joint function at 6 and 12 months postoperatively, as well as rotator cuff healing rate at 6 months postoperatively, were compared between groups based on whether or not stump-preserving repair was used.
Results: All patients were followed up 12-33 months (mean, 23.8 months). MRI at 25-31 weeks postoperatively showed the 121 cases of rotator cuff healing and 31 cases of non healing. Univariate analysis showed that the disease duration, stump-preserving repair, shoulder joint abduction angle at knotting, and the time for patients to start postoperative active exercise were the influencing factors of rotator cuff healing (
Conclusion: For degenerative total rotator cuff tears, the stump-preserving repair can shorten the healing time and promote the shoulder function recovery, but has no significant effect on shoulder function at 1 year postoperatively.

Abstract The strategic formulation of a compatible electrolyte plays a pivotal role in extending the longevity of lithium-metal batteries (LMBs). Here, we present findings on a partially fluorinated electrolyte distinguished by a subdued solvation affinity towards Li+ ions and a concentrated anion presence within the primary solvation layer. This distinctive solvation arrangement redirects the focal points of reactions from solvent molecules to anions, facilitating the predominant involvement of anions in the creation of a LiF-enriched solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI). Electrochemical assessments showcase effective Li+ transport kinetics, diminished overpotential polarization for Li nucleation, and prolonged cycling durability in Li||Li cells employing the partially fluorinated electrolyte. When tested in Li||NCM811 cells, the designed electrolyte delivers a capacity retention of 89.30% and exhibits a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.80% over 100 cycles with a charge-potential cut-off of 4.6 V vs. Li/Li+ under the current density of 0.4 C. Furthermore, even at a current density of 1C, the cells maintain 81.90% capacity retention and a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.40% after 180 cycles. This work underscores the significance of weak-solvation interaction in partially fluorinated electrolytes and highlights the crucial role of solvent structure in enabling the long-term stability and high-energy density of LMBs.

Abstract Membrane distillation (MD) is attractive for water recovery from surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsion due to its unique characteristics. To address the membrane fouling and wetting issues, a novel hydrophilic-omniphobic-hydrophilic sandwich-like membrane (PFZP) was firstly developed. Top PDA skin layer induced the hydration shell facing feed, which endowed membrane with high energy barriers (0.12 kT) to limit free hexadecane deposition. Omniphobic substrate (FZP) effectively avoided the deposition of free sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and hexadecane-SDS aggregate. Bottom PDA skin layer was beneficial to maintain transmembrane temperature difference and driving force. Besides, both PDA layers (∼4.1 μm) partly intruded into FZP substrate to shorten water vapor transmembrane transfer path. Compared with pristine membrane, PFZP membrane displayed greatly improved anti-fouling, anti-wetting and water recovery performance with stable water flux (18.0 LMH) and high salt rejection (99.99%). Obtained findings further improved the understanding of robust MD membrane design, its anti-fouling, mass and heat transfer mechanism.

Abstract With the increasing environmental pollution and environmental awareness, ecological efficiency has become a hot issue. Based on the traditional DEA model of unexpected output, a new super data envelopment analysis and slacks-based measure considering undesirable outputs (S-DEA-SBM-UO) efficiency model is proposed. Moreover, the weight S-DEA-SBM-UO (W–S-DEA-SBM-UO) is applied to evaluate the ecological efficiency of industrial enterprises. The experimental results show that the W–S-DEA-SBM-UO can measure the ecological efficiency including unexpected output more effectively than the conventional DEA-SBM to solve unexpected output. Finally, it is suggested that enterprises should make great efforts to improve the ecological efficiency and it is pointed out that the results have strong theoretical significance and research value for ecological improvement.
