Abstract This research topic for Frontiers in Psychology highlights some of the more relevant changes that have conditioned consumer behavior in recent years-among these, the paradigm shift in marketing is worth emphasizing. Today, the market and the companies are implementing Marketing 4.0; This new marketing approach modifies both the business rules and the channels by changing the way to dialogue, interact and relation with consumers. The present Research Topic brings together 30 studies by 76 authors who analyzed the relevance of consumer behavior changes under this new paradigm, using different theoretical and methodological frameworks. These different papers, mainly constituting original research, examine a variety of sub-topics, including online and mobile environments, value co-creation, internal marketing strategies, and diverse industries and product markets.Given this broad selection of papers, we encourage readers to draw their own conclusions about the complex phenomena of consumer behavior. Our hope is that these different perspectives will cover various gaps in the field and prompt discussion among the audience of Frontiers in Psychology

Abstract Purpose: The diagnosis of a disease such as breast cancer (BC) can be experienced as a sudden, unexpected, and life-threatening event accompanied by considerable uncertainty. This experience can precipitate the development of post-traumatic symptoms and depression. Conversely, certain individuals exhibit the capacity to reframe this traumatic event and transform it into an opportunity for personal growth. Existing research shows that individuals with high trait emotional intelligence (trait EI) tend to experience fewer post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTS), and greater post-traumatic growth (PTG). The aim of this study was to investigate the interrelationship among these variables and specifically examine whether PTS and PTG play a mediating role between trait EI, depression, and life satisfaction.
Methods: Questionnaires were administered to 338 women with BC to assess trait EI, PTS, PTG, depression, and life satisfaction.
Results: Results highlighted that trait EI was negatively related to PTS and depression and positively related to PTG and life satisfaction. In addition, both PTS and PTG showed a mediating role in the relationship between trait EI, depression, and life satisfaction. This study highlights the close link between depressive symptoms and post-traumatic cognitions in women with BC.
Conclusion: Current findings highlight links between trait EI, PTS, PTG, depressive symptoms, and life satisfaction. Clinicians could use these findings when developing interventions aimed at alleviating PTS, such as low mood and worry, and facilitating PTG. This study demonstrated that trait EI can reduce PTS and increase PTG, therefore it is important to include programs aimed at fostering trait EI.

Abstract The concept of causal specificity is drawing considerable attention from philosophers of biology. It became the rationale for rejecting (and occasionally, accepting) a thesis of causal parity of developmental factors. This literature assumes that attributing specificity to causal relations is at least in principle a straightforward (if not systematic) task. However, the parity debate in philosophy of biology seems to be stuck at a point where it is not the biological details that will help move forward. In this paper, I take a step back to reexamine the very idea of causal specificity and its intended role in the parity dispute in philosophy of biology. I contend that the idea of causal specificity across variations as currently discussed in the literature is irreducibly twofold in nature: it is about two independent components that are not mutually entailed. I show this to be the source of prior complications with the notion of specificity itself that ultimately affect the purposes for which it is often invoked, notably to settle the parity dispute.

Abstract A central question in behavioural neuroscience is how different rewards modulate learning. While the role of monetary rewards is well-studied in decision-making research, the influence of abstract rewards like music remains poorly understood. This study investigated the dissociable effects of these two reward types on decision making. Forty participants completed two decision-making tasks, each characterised by probabilistic associations between stimuli and rewards, with probabilities changing over time to reflect environmental volatility. In each task, choices were reinforced either by monetary outcomes (win/lose) or by the endings of musical melodies (consonant/dissonant). We applied the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter, a validated hierarchical Bayesian framework, to model learning under these two conditions. Bayesian statistics provided evidence for similar learning patterns across both reward types, suggesting individuals' similar adaptability. However, within the musical task, individual preferences for consonance over dissonance explained some aspects of learning. Specifically, correlation analyses indicated that participants more tolerant of dissonance behaved more stochastically in their belief-to-response mappings and were less likely to choose the response associated with the current prediction for a consonant ending, driven by higher volatility estimates. By contrast, participants averse to dissonance showed increased tonic volatility, leading to larger updates in reward tendency beliefs.

Title translation Patterns of hypercementosis and their relationship with possible local etiological factors in radiographs of individuals from a mexican population.
Abstract Objective: Hypercementosis (HPC) is an asymptomatic pathology that, according to the existing literature, has a low prevalence, there is a lack of information and research on it, within these studies, few are made by ethnic groups. To determine the prevalence and radiographic patterns of this condition, as well as the analysis of the relationship of the pathology with some of what are considered possible local triggering factors (FDL) in Mexican individuals.
Methodology: 1193 orthopantomographies (OPG) were analyzed, randomly selected from patients of both sexes, with a chronological age range between 18 and 90 years, identifying the prevalence of HPC, as well as its relationship between age groups, its morphological patterns (focal, diffuse and sleeve-shaped), its distribution by anatomical region and dental organs (ODs) and the association of its presence with possible local triggering factors.
Results: 348 DO with HPC were found in a total of 194 patients (16.30%), with no relevant differences between genders (P> 0.05). There was a significant increase with respect to the presence of HPC in relation to the increase in the age of the patients (P= 0.001), finding it present in 10% of the age group <40 years, in 20.30% in the group of 40 to 60 years and > 60 in 30.20%. It was found more frequently in a diffuse form (75.28%), followed by the focal pattern (19.54%) and finding the sleeve-shaped morphology less common (5.17%). The mandible presented the greatest number of ODs with the presence of HPC, 136 (39.08%), with the left side being the most affected with 86 OD. The dental group with the greatest involvement was that of molars and premolars.
Conclusions: The prevalence of hypercementosis was 16.30% in the Mexican individuals evaluated. Its presence increases as the age of the patients advances. Its main location is the mandibular region with a predilection for premolars and molars. Even though the idiopathic origin is the most frequent, it was observed that dental impaction is a possible local triggering factor.
