Abstract Breast milk is fundamental to induce an appropriate immunotolerance in the newborn. Here, we present the case of a young mother who was diagnosed with celiac disease while breastfeeding. She is dealing with the problem of knowing that celiac disease–specific autoantibodies are present in her breast milk, but not knowing if they are potentially harmful to her baby.
