    Abstract Antikörper gegen Medikamente – sogenannte Anti-Drug-Antikörper – sind bei der Behandlung mit biologischen Arzneimitteln eine gefürchtete Komplikation. Bekannt ist das Auftreten solcher Antikörper beispielsweise bei der Behandlung von Patienten mit Hämophilie A (Faktor-VIII-Mangel), bei der Interferonbehandlung sowie bei der Behandlung mit monoklonalen Antikörpern. Im Forschungskonsortium ABIRISK – „Anti-Biopharmaceutical Immunization: Prediction and analysis of clinical relevance to minimize the RISK“ – wird die klinische Relevanz solcher Antikörper gegen biologische Arzneimittel untersucht und nach Möglichkeiten der Risikominimierung gesucht. Das Paul-Ehrlich-Institut (PEI) ist einer von insgesamt 37 europäischen Kooperationspartnern des von der „Innovative Medicines Initiative“ (IMI)1 geförderten Forschungskonsortiums. Im Folgenden werden das Forschungsprojekt und die Fragestellungen, die vom PEI bearbeitet werden, kurz vorgestellt.
