Abstract Pericytes are specialized mural cells surrounding endothelial cells in microvascular beds. They play a role in vascular development, blood flow regulation, maintenance of blood-tissue barrier integrity, and control of angiogenesis, tissue fibrosis, and wound healing. In recent decades, understanding of the critical role played by pericytes in retina, brain, lung, and kidney has seen significant progress. The cochlea contains a large population of pericytes. However, the role of cochlear pericytes in auditory pathophysiology is, by contrast, largely unknown. The present review discusses recent progress in identifying cochlear pericytes, mapping their distribution, and defining their role in regulating blood flow, controlling the blood-labyrinth barrier (BLB) and angiogenesis, and involvement in different types of hearing loss.

Abstract In this study, we consider DNA as a torus knot that is formed by an elastic string. In order to determine what kinds of knot could be formed, we present its energy spectrum by combining Euler rotation, DNA's mechanical properties, and the modified Faddeev-Skyrme model. Our results theoretically demonstrated that the flexural rigidity of DNA plays an important role. If it is smaller than a critical value, DNA is likely to form a coiled structure. Conversely, above the critical value, DNA forms a twisting structure. The energy spectrum provides a way to identify the types of knots that are most likely to be created by DNA, according to the principle of energy minimisation, and with implications for its functional and packaging states in the cell nucleus.

Abstract The formulation and revision of the detection methods of indoor air quality standards is an important, rigorous and delicate endeavor. The standards for indoor air quality (GB/T 18883-2022) were issued by the State Administration of Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration on July 11, 2022, and implemented on February 1, 2023 by replacing indoor air quality standards (GB/T 18883-2002). The revised standard specifies hygienic requirements for physical, chemical, biological and radioactive indicators in indoor air and the corresponding test methods. This article interpreted the revision background, drafting principles, main indicators and methods, as well as the revision basis of the standards. Recommendations for the implementation of the standards are also proposed.

Abstract This article is one of the first attempts to materialise Joanna Haynes and Karin Murris' conceptualisation of the post-age pedagogy that focuses on loosening the boundaries of age-based expectation. The project is conducted against the backdrop of the discourse of ageism existing hand-in-hand with various age-transgressive practices. It involved multiple case studies of child and adult readers' responses to two picturebooks, i.e.,

Abstract In today's economic globalization and artificial intelligence modern society, the rapid economic growth mainly relies on the vigorous development of digital information technology. Simultaneously, digital technology promotes economic revolution and produces a digital economy, which has become an important concept of China's economic development. In order to more scientifically and accurately describe the development status of my country's industrial structure and digital economy industry, this paper takes each industry of the national economy as the research object and puts forward the idea of using complex network theory to study the relationship between input and output. Based on the complex network theory, this paper analyzes the interrelationships between various industries in the complex system. By referring to the relevant data of the national economic input and output in recent years, the input-output correlation network model between the various industries in the national economic system is established. Using the method of combining statistical analysis and comparative analysis, quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, carry out detailed and in-depth statistical analysis from the input-output correlation network model and model attributes so as to point out the status and role of various industries in the national economy and so as to analyze and study the industrial structure of the national economy.

Abstract Objective: The pathogenesis of doxorubicin (DOX) induced cardiomyopathy (DCM) is still uncertain. We aimed to identify the critical genes and pathways involved in DCM based on bioinformatics analysis.
Materials and methods: The GSE59672 and GSE23598 mice heart tissue microarray data were obtained from Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. The "limma" package of R software was used to screen the differently expressed genes (DEGs). GO (Gene Ontology) and KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes) analyses were performed on DEGs by using "clusterProfiler" package in R software. The PPI (Protein - Protein Interaction) network of DEGs constructed by STRING online database and thereby the top 15 hub genes selected by cytoHubba in Cytoscape software. The hub genes interaction was performed by GeneMANIA online database. The "Corrplot" R package was employed to assess hub genes correlation.
Results: Finally, a total of 492 and 501 DEGs were screened in GSE59672 and GSE23598 datasets, respectively. GO analyses revealed that DEGs were mainly involved in the regulation of extracellular matrix organization, metabolic process, regulation of collagen-containing extracellular matrix. KEGG pathway analyses indicated that DEGs were mainly involved in protein digestion and absorption, ECM-receptor interaction, phagosome, and p53 signaling pathway. Finally, the 8 hub genes were identified, including Col1a1, Col3a1, Col1a2, Col6a1, Ptprc, Tyrobp, Itgb2, and Ctss.
Conclusions: The present study identified a series of key genes, including Col1a1, Col3a1, Col1a2, Col6a1, Ptprc, Tyrobp, Itgb2, and Ctss. In addition, important pathways were also discovered. The results of this study may provide a novel molecular mechanism and potential therapeutic targets for DCM.

Abstract This review aimed at investigating the role of help, hope, and harmony formally known as positive 3H on students' engagement and peacebuilding. This topic has recently attracted attention since teachers and the way they treat students are said to play a paramount role in the learning process and as a result, peace can be built in the classroom and students also are more likely to be actively engaged in the tasks. To start with, a definition for positive 3-H was presented coupled with the role it plays in language learning contexts. Then the way both inner peace and interpersonal peace have been applied in the learning process to build peace is discussed. Following that, the effects of positive 3-H on students' engagement and peacebuilding through raising some relevant activities are dealt with. Finally, implications and further directions are put forward.
