Abstract Emotion and cognition have long been considered as two influential factors determining the quality of teaching and learning. They form the foundation of all aspects of teaching as an emotional and thought-provoking profession. With the advent of Positive Psychology (PP) and affective pedagogy, now English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers' inner states and emotions are placed at the center of every educational program all around the world. This consideration has led to a rise in various domains of teaching and teacher education. However, the interactive influence and association between teachers' emotions and cognitions concerning their pedagogical practices has been mostly left ignored in EFL contexts. To fill this gap, the present study aimed to offer a mini-review of the concepts, definitions, related theories, and empirical evidence in this line of research. It also presented practical implications for different stakeholders together with research gaps and future directions for enthusiastic L2 investigators.

Abstract Revisiting tourists can bring great benefits to the tourism industry, which has attracted the attention of scholars, but few scholars have studied the consumer affinity as the influence factor of the revisit intention. This study constructs the relationship model between consumer affinity and revisit intention, and uses questionnaire method to collect data and apply multi-layer regression analysis to process data. The study found that cultural affinity and people affinity have a significant positive impact on short-term revisit intention, cultural affinity has a significant positive impact on mid-term revisit intention, landscape affinity and people affinity have a significant positive impact on long-term re-visiting intentions. The conclusion of this paper has some practical guiding significance for outbound tourism propaganda, and some practical guiding significance for Thailand, to improve the trip of Chinese tourists.

Abstract Objective: Changes of platelet distribution width (PDW) have been observed in women with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss (URPL). However, relevant previous studies showed inconsistent results. We performed a meta-analysis to comprehensively evaluate the association between PDW and URPL.
Methods: Observational studies reporting the difference of PDW between women with and without URPL were retrieved by searching PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Wanfang, and CNKI. A random-effect model was used to pool the results by incorporating potential heterogeneity.
Results: Eleven case-control studies with 1847 women with URPL and 2475 healthy women were included. Age was matched for all studies between cases and controls. Pooled results showed women with URPL had significantly increased level of PDW (mean difference [MD]: 1.54%, 95% CI: 1.04 to 2.03, p < 0.05; I
Conclusions: Women with URPL had significantly increased levels of PDW compared to healthy women without URPL, which suggest that higher PDW may predict the risk of URPL.

Abstract In response to escalating environmental concerns surrounding antibiotic pollution, the utilization of calcium-montmorillonite minerals for tetracycline wastewater treatment is gaining prominence. This study systematically analyzed the physicochemical properties of calcium-montmorillonite through scanning electron microscope, contact angle analysis, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. It explored the adsorption efficacy and mechanisms for tetracycline removal, considering factors like initial pH, adsorption duration, concentration, and co-cations (Na

Abstract Kaihua paper is a type of precious hand-made paper in China that has been used throughout Chinese history. Due to its extraordinary whiteness and fine texture, it was adopted by the imperial palace in the reign of Emperor Kang Xi and Yong Zheng of the Qing Dynasty of China in the 17th and 18th century. It is stained by a special type of yellowish-brown spot after years of storage, which is called a "peachy spot." The formation of such spots remains unclear, although complicated physicochemical processes or microbial activities might be involved. We performed nondestructive sampling and high-throughput sequencing on peachy spot surfaces, unstained areas, and air samples in the stack room to analysis the the bacterial and fungal communities, and performed prediction of functional genes of the bacterial communities. The results showed that peachy spot formation was mainly related to bacterial communities rather than fungal communities. Significantly more potential acid- producing, acidophilic or cellulase-producing bacteria, such as,

Abstract Drawing upon the conservation of resource theory, we offer a framework for understanding the mechanism underlying the effect of public employees' overqualification on their cognitive and behavioral outcomes, through both positive and negative paths. We propose that perceived overqualification elicits two subjective cognitions, namely, perceived control and psychological entitlement, which further lead to public employees' behaviors through approach (organizational citizenship behavior) and avoidance (workplace deviance behavior) tendencies. A total of 421 public employees participated in the three-stage time-lag investigation. The findings indicated that public employees' perceived overqualification is positively related to perceived control, and perceived control is positively related to organizational citizenship behavior. Perceived control completely mediates the relationship between perceived overqualification and organizational citizenship behavior. Perceived overqualification is positively related to psychological entitlement, and psychological entitlement is positively related to workplace deviance behavior. Psychological entitlement completely mediates the relationship between perceived overqualification and workplace deviance behavior. This study constructed a double-edged sword model of perceived overqualification based on the public sector, discussing the influence of public employees' perceived overqualification on their workplace behaviors from the perspective of resource assessment and self-evaluation, and providing theoretical guidance for the practice of human resource management within the public sector.

Abstract Aging is a complex physiological process encompassing both physical and cognitive decline over time. This intricate process is governed by a multitude of hallmarks and pathways, which collectively contribute to the emergence of numerous age-related diseases. In response to the remarkable increase in human life expectancy, there has been a substantial rise in research focusing on the development of anti-aging therapies and pharmacological interventions. Mitochondrial dysfunction, a critical factor in the aging process, significantly impacts overall cellular health. In this extensive review, we will explore the contemporary landscape of anti-aging strategies, placing particular emphasis on the promising potential of mitotherapy as a ground-breaking approach to counteract the aging process. Moreover, we will investigate the successful application of mitochondrial transplantation in both animal models and clinical trials, emphasizing its translational potential. Finally, we will discuss the inherent challenges and future possibilities of mitotherapy within the realm of aging research and intervention.
