Abstract In this paper, we present two approaches to localizing and tracking a sound source that moves in a three-dimensional (3D) space. The sound signal was captured by a unique bi-microphone system that rotates at a constant angular velocity. The motion of the sound source along with the rotation of the bi-microphone array produces a sinusoidal inter-channel distance difference (ICDD) signal with time-varying amplitude and phase. Four state-space models were developed and employed to design extended Kalman filters (EKFs) that identify instantaneous amplitude and phase of the ICDD signal. Both theoretical and numerical observability analyses of the four state-space models were performed to reveal singularities of the proposed EKFs in the domain of interest. We also developed a Hilbert-transform based method that localizes the sound source by comparing the true analytic ICDD signal to a virtual reference signal with zero elevation and azimuth angles. A moving average filter is then applied to reduce the noise and the effect of the artifacts at the beginning and the ending portions of the estimates. The effectiveness of the proposed methods was evaluated using comparison studies in simulation.

Abstract Psoriasis is a common and immune-mediated skin disease related to keratinocytes hyperproliferation and inflammation. Fos-like antigen-1 (FOSL1) is an important transcription factor involved in various diseases. FOSL1 has been reported to be differentially expressed in psoriasis. However, the roles and mechanism of FOSL1 in psoriasis progression remain largely unknown. FOSL1 is an upregulated transcription factor in psoriasis and increased in M5-treated HaCaT cells. FOSL1 had a diagnostic value in psoriasis, and positively associated with PASI score, TNF-α and IL-6 levels in psoriasis patients. FOSL1 silencing attenuated M5-induced HaCaT cell hyperproliferation through decreasing cell viability and proliferative ability and increasing cell apoptosis. FOSL1 knockdown mitigated M5-induced NLRP3 inflammasome activation and it-mediated inflammatory cytokine (IL-6, IL-8 and CCL17) expression. TRAF3 expression was increased in psoriasis patients and M5-treated HaCaT cells. FOSL1 transcriptionally activating TRAF3 in HaCaT cells. TRAF3 overexpression reversed the suppressive effects of FOSL1 silencing on M5-induced hyperproliferation and NLRP3-mediated inflammation. FOSL1 knockdown attenuated M5-induced NF-κB signaling activation by reducing TRAF3. Activation of NF-κB signaling reversed the effects of FOSL1 knockdown on hyperproliferation and inflammation in M5-treated cells. FOSL1 silencing prevented M5-induced hyperproliferation and NLRP3-mediated inflammation of keratinocytes by inhibiting TRAF3-mediated NF-κB activity, indicating FOSL1 might act as a therapeutic target of psoriasis.

Abstract Hydrogen fuel has the advantages of green environmental protection and high energy density, hydrogen aviation is also developing rapidly in China. Due to the high-quality characteristics of hydrogen, hydrogen aviation is the key to zero pollutant emission and sustainable development of aviation industry in the future. In the context of “carbon neutralization”, the EU and other countries have launched the promotion of large-scale green hydrogen plan focusing on the aviation industry. Although they are still facing some technical bottlenecks to break through some problems of hydrogen fuel in their development, hydrogen fuel will be an important means to achieve low-carbon and environmental protection in the post epidemic era.

Abstract In this article, we focus on human-to-cobot dual-arm handover operations for large box-type objects. The efficiency of handover operations should be ensured and the naturalness as if the handover is going on between two humans. First of all, we study the human-human dual-arm large box-type object natural handover process to guide this research. Then, for efficiency, we combine the probabilistic approach with the online learning algorithm to predict the beginning of the handover task and handover positions. The online updating probabilistic models can deal with not only human givers' regular motion patterns but also their irregular motion patterns. Then, to guarantee that human givers can perform handover operations naturally, we apply the probabilistic robot skill learning method kernelized movement primitives (KMPs) to adapt the learned receiving skills and fulfill some constraints for safety based on online predicted results. Furthermore, we give special attention to the dual-arm grasp strategy and control design to guarantee a stable grasp. In addition, we equip this handover system on a Baxter cobot and extend its grippers to make it more suitable for dual-arm handover operations. The experimental results show that the proposed handover system can solve human-to-cobot dual-arm handover operations for large box-type objects naturally and efficiently.

Abstract Diffuse midline glioma with H3K27 M alteration is a primary malignant tumor located along the linear structure of the brain, predominantly manifesting in children and adolescents. The mortality rate is exceptionally high, with a mere 1 % 5-year survival rate for newly diagnosed patients. Beyond conventional surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, novel approaches are imperative to enhance patient prognosis. This article comprehensively reviews current innovative treatment modalities and provides updates on the latest research advancements in preclinical studies and clinical trials focusing on H3K27M-altered diffuse midline glioma. The goal is to contribute positively to clinical treatment strategies.

Abstract Objectives: Unstable trimalleolar fractures are relatively complex and more difficult to manage if die-punch fracture is present. We aimed to evaluate the curative effect of homeopathic ankle dislocation on the unstable trimalleolar fractures involving posterior die-punch fragments.
Methods: A total of 124 patients diagnosed with unstable trimalleolar fractures combined with post-die punch fragment between June 2008 and June 2020 were retrospectively included. Patients who received homeopathic ankle dislocation were named as the experimental group, and patients who accepted conventional treatment were control group. The fracture healing time, wound healing, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society ankle-hindfoot scale (AOFAS), visual analogue scale (VAS), the Kellgren-Lawrence arthritis grading scale (KLAGS) and short-form 36 score (SF-36) scores were collected. Student t-test was used for fracture healing time. Wound healing and SF-36 were compared using the Mann-Whitney test. Repeated measurement analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for AOFAS and VAS. χ
Results: AOFAS showed statistically significant differences between the two groups (p = 0.001). In non-weight-bearing and weight-bearing conditions, VAS scores were significant different between the two groups, and there was an interaction between group and time point (p < 0.001). The experimental group was superior to the control group in terms of physical function (p = 0.022), role-physical (p = 0.018), general health (p = 0.001) and social function (p = 0.042).The operation time of experimental group was shorter than that of control group (p < 0.001).
Conclusion: Homeopathic ankle dislocation is used for the unstable trimalleolar fractures involving posterior die-punch fragment, which can provide better functional outcomes while shortening the operation time and recovery period.
