Abstract In this review the study will be carried out on comparison of Mechanical Properties like Hardness and Strength of joints welded by TIG and MIG processes. Welding of dissimilar steels has became most common process now days in wide applications in industries. The Stainless Steel and Mild Steel joints have more applications in structural industries which provide good combination of Mechanical Properties like strength, Corrosion resistance etc. Selections of welding process for different material are difficult because of their physical and chemical properties. To obtain good quality of weld, it is necessary to select proper welding technique according to the materials selected for welding

Abstract Streptococcus pyogenes (SP) causes uncomplicated infections of throat & skin to severe life-threatening invasive diseases and poststreptococcal sequelae. Despite being common, it hasn't been studied much in recent times. Data of 93 adult patients >18 years, culture proven (SP) infections from 2016 to 2019 was studied in south India. Irrespective of comorbidities, SSTI were most common followed by surgical site infections& bacteremia. Isolates were susceptible to penicillin, cephalosporins but 23% were resistant to clindamycin. Timely surgical interventions and appropriate antibiotics reduced morbidity& limb salvage by 9 times. Larger studies, worldwide, to see the current trend of SP need to be conducted.

Abstract We report the use of next generation sequencing (NGS) for investigating an outbreak of 13 cases of Serratia marcescens blood stream infections in a non-Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (non-NICU) setting in a tertiary care hospital in India over 5 months. Thirteen cases of sepsis due to S. marcescens were identified in various Intensive Care Units (ICUs) over 5 months. Environmental surveillance identified isolates in the adult ICU (AICU). Antibiogram did not correlate with timeline. Sequencing libraries were prepared using Nextera XT chemistry (Illumina). Based on NGS, two clusters were identified. Cluster 1 had environmental and clinical isolates from the AICU and cluster 2 were isolates from the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). NICU and Paediatric ICU isolates did not belong to any cluster. Polyclonal outbreaks best identified by NGS can occur simultaneously. Good infection prevention practices like hand hygiene for compounded medicines and surface cleaning helped end the outbreak.

Abstract Double inferior vena cava (IVC) is a rare developmental anomaly of IVC with a prevalence rate of 0.2-0.3%. Preoperative identification of major vascular anomalies is of paramount importance for a retroperitoneal surgeon. In addition, more anomalies are to be expected in those situations. Radiological studies in similar cases may be reported as retroperitoneal lymph nodes or masses if the radiologist is unaware. In this case report, a patient with bilateral testicular tumor with double IVC who underwent extensive retroperitoneal and pelvic lymph node dissection is described for rarity of the condition and technical difficulties associated with such a condition.
