Abstract This study clarified differences in mental health, psychosocial status, and mental health-related factors among mothers of ADHD children between those with and without maternal ADHD tendencies from data of 149 mothers of children with ADHD through an online survey. Mothers with ADHD tendencies had poorer mental health, lower education, more ADHD children, and more parenting stressor of "inadequate understanding of the child's disorder from others" than mothers without ADHD tendencies. Their mental health was poorer especially in younger and in those who had more parenting stressors of "difficulties in understanding the child and coping with the child's needs" and "inadequate understanding of the child's disorder from others." Mental health in mothers without ADHD tendencies was related to a variety of parenting stressors and severe ADHD symptoms in the child. Therefore, assessing maternal ADHD tendencies may be necessary to consider effective individualized support measures for mothers of ADHD children.

Abstract Objective: This study identified primary health problems related to presenteeism stratified by sex.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to analyze the relationship between 26 health problems and presenteeism using data from health-related data and World Health Organization Health and Work Performance Questionnaire among 12,526 employees in Japan.
Results: Sex-stratified multiple regression analyses showed that presenteeism was associated with nine health problems in both sexes, depressive symptoms, followed by lack of appetite, insufficient sleep, heart palpitations, or shortness of breath demonstrated the strongest relationship. Men had five additional health problems associated with presenteeism; furthermore, the relationships of those were stronger than women.
Conclusions: The primary health problems related to presenteeism were depressive symptoms and indefinite complaints in both sexes. Men had more and stronger relationship between health problems and presenteeism than women.

Abstract Higher percentages of transplants of short-day cultivar ‘Strawberry Festival’ from runner tips plugged in early July rather than the standard time (early August) bloomed in the fall. Nearly 100% of the transplants produced in early July flowered in the fall, but less than 30% of the August-plugged transplants flowered in the fall. Under protected cultivation, July-plugged plants produced fruit in October, November and December. Illuminating the crowns of July-plugged transplants with red light in August delayed bloom by several months. In another study, growing transplants under red photoselective nets in August delayed flowering until January. The results of these studies suggested that floral bud initiation can be induced even under long photoperiod if the light illuminating the strawberry crown lacks red and shorter wavelength light whereas excessive red light transmittance either with red LED lights or growing transplants under red photoselective shade net in August delayed flower bud initiation. The colored nets did not affect runnering during fall months. The nursery industry can use the non-flowering transplants as stock plants because periodic flower removal is not needed for preventing infection by Colletotrichum species. Changing the time of plugging and altering the light quality for plug plant production will create an opportunity for double-cropping, e.g., fruit production from SD cultivars in fall and early winter and again in the spring in the mid-Atlantic coast region.

Abstract Human pluripotent stem cell (hPSCs) derived-pancreatic islets (hSC-islets) are good candidates for cell replacement therapy for patients with diabetes as substitutes for deceased donor-derived islets, because they are pluripotent and have infinite proliferation potential. Grafted hSC-islets ameliorate hyperglycemia in diabetic mice; however, several weeks are needed to normalize the hyperglycemia. These data suggest hSC-islets require maturation, but their maturation process

Abstract Plants of commercial strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch., cv. Camarosa) exhibiting extensive fruit phyllody (development of leafy structures from achenes) were observed in a winter greenhouse production facility in West Virginia. In July 2001, 95 dormant, cold-stored plants were purchased from a California strawberry nursery, potted and grown in this West Virginia facility. Five of the plants developed fruits with phylloid growths. These fruits were assessed for phytoplasma infection using nested polymerase chain reactions (PCRs) in which initial ribosomal (r) DNA amplification was primed by phytoplasma-universal primer pair P1/P7 (2), and rDNA reamplification was primed by primer pair R16F2n/R16R2 (1). Amplification of phytoplasma-characteristic 1.2-kbp 16S rDNA in the nested reactions primed by R16F2n/R16R2 confirmed that the symptomatic plants were infected by a phytoplasma, termed strawberry phylloid fruit (StrawbPhF) phytoplasma. No phytoplasma DNAs were amplified from healthy plants. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) patterns of 16S rDNA digested with AluI, KpnI, HhaI, HaeIII, HpaII, MseI, RsaI, and Sau3A1 restriction endonucleases indicated that StrawbPhF phytoplasma belonged to group 16SrI (group I, aster yellows phytoplasma group) according to the phytoplasma classification system of Lee et al. (4). However, the collective patterns distinguished StrawbPhF from its closest known relative, clover phyllody (CPh) phytoplasma, and from all other phytoplasmas classified in group 16SrI. On the basis of the RFLP patterns of 16S rDNA, the StrawbPhF was classified in group 16SrI, new subgroup R. The StrawbPhF phytoplasma 1.2-kbp 16S rDNA PCR product was cloned in Escherichia coli using TOPO TA Cloning Kit (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA), sequenced, and the sequence deposited in GenBank under Accession No. AY102275. The StrawbPhF 16S rDNA sequence shared 99.9 and 99.8% similarity with the two sequence heterogeneous operons, rrnA and rrnB, respectively, of CPh phytoplasma, and shared 99.9% similarity with 16S rDNA of the unclassified cirsium yellows (CirY) phytoplasma (GenBank Accession No. AF200431) reported in Cirsium arvense L. in Lithuania (3). The restriction sites in 16S rDNA of StrawbPhF were identical to those in 16S rDNA of CPh rrnA and CirY. Three restriction sites (AluI, HaeIII, and MseI) and three base substitutions distinguished StrawbPhF 16S rDNA from rrnB of CPh phytoplasma. No evidence was obtained for the presence of a second (sequence heterogeneous) rRNA operon in StrawbPhF phytoplasma, as reported in CPh phytoplasma (4), which clearly distinguishes this phytoplasma from CPh phytoplasma. Future studies on StrawbPhF phytoplasma may provide important information on the evolution of phytoplasmas. References: (1) D. E. Gundersen and I.-M. Lee. Phytopathol. Mediterr. 35:144, 1996. (2) R. Abstract Fruit traits such as cluster compactness, fruit maturity, and berry number per clusters are important to blueberry breeders and producers for making informed decisions about genotype selection related to yield traits and harvestability as well as for plant management. The goal of this study was to develop a data processing pipeline to count berries, to measure maturity, and to evaluate compactness (cluster tightness) automatically using a deep learning image segmentation method for four southern highbush blueberry cultivars ('Emerald', 'Farthing', 'Meadowlark', and 'Star'). An iterative annotation strategy was developed to label images that reduced the annotation time. A Mask R-CNN model was trained and tested to detect and segment individual blueberries with respect to maturity. The mean average precision for the validation and test dataset was 78.3% and 71.6% under 0.5 intersection over union (IOU) threshold, and the corresponding mask accuracy was 90.6% and 90.4%, respectively. Linear regression of the detected berry number and the ground truth showed an

Abstract Primocane-fruiting (PF) blackberries are adaptable to different production systems. To increase yields in PF blackberries, their primocanes are typically tipped or topped in summer to encourage branch formation from axillary buds below the cut. In this study, we determined in PF ‘Prime-Ark® Traveler’ whether early emerging primocanes were more productive than those that emerged later in the season, and the effect of primocane bending and defoliation on flowering. The primocanes that emerged in April produced 64% more flower shoots than those that emerged after May. Also, these findings indicate the alternative primocane management practices of selecting the early emerging primocanes and bending to orient primocanes horizontally, and leaf removal to increase budbreak and flower shoot emergence. The present work contributes toward a better understanding of primocane emergence time and orientation–flowering relations, and how these factors mediate crop performance of PF blackberry.

Abstract Aim: This study aimed to explore the psychological and dynamic process of modification and evaluate its time-series peculiarity in family caregivers involved in associations for the families of dementia patients.
Methods: The current study included 39 family caregivers involved in two associations for the families of dementia patients. Five-year free group conversations in the family caregivers were recorded and converted into a verbatim record. The KJ method was then used to encode and group the verbatim record. After analyzing grouped terms and structuring the psychological and dynamic process of modification, time periods of the psychological status were determined based on the psychological process and the time-oriented perspective. The verbatim record extracted by the KJ method was analyzed by text-mining and a cluster analysis in order to assess validity of the psychological process and its time division. In addition, the appearance ratio of the texts extracted in each time period were analyzed to determine the longitudinal peculiarity in the psychological and dynamic process.
Results: The psychological process of family caregivers was classified broadly into four components: (1) recognizing and identifying problems, (2) seeking help and dealing with problems, (3) remedying and evaluating problems, and (4) feeling effective and empowering oneself to overcome problems. The validity of the psychological process and its time division was supported by text-mining and a cluster analysis. The appearance ratio of the texts extracted in each time period was quasi-periodic and recursive rather than transient.
Conclusions: The psychological and dynamic process elucidated in the current study consists of four major components participants experience when involved in associations for the families of dementia patients. Although this process may not have originated in associations for the families of dementia patients, a quasi-periodic and recursive tendency in the appearance ratio of extracted texts is a notable feature. In dementia care, it is vital to foresee emerging challenges on a constant basis and attempt precedent, forecasting-type care. Being involved in associations for the families of dementia patients facilitates the administration of forecasting-type care.
