    Abstract Abstract Gift giving is a prevalent social custom, particularly in Chinese society. Since people do not act independently of social norms, they are also motivated by the views of others when giving gifts. However, there is no existing literature on this important topic for China. To fill this gap, based on the law of diminishing marginal utility, this study investigates the effects of social conformity on gift giving in China. A relative index is constructed to capture the following behaviours in gift giving. The likelihood of following behaviours is measured by a statistical model derived from utility functions. Panel and dynamic ordinal discrete regressions are employed for empirical analysis. A case study in China employing a nationally representative longitudinal dataset with 37,147 individuals over three periods is applied. The results show that overall, more than half of the population in China tends to follow others in regard to gift expenses. However, from 2014 to 2018, this tendency declined sharply. Men are more likely to follow their peers in gift expenditure than are women. Older people have a lower preference to follow others than young people. More specifically, the assumption of diminishing marginal utility in gift giving is fully supported by the empirical findings in this study.

    Abstract Accompanied by the rapid modernization and industrialization of our country, the lack of physical activity and sedentary lifestyles that are common in western developed countries have increasingly become important risk factors that threaten the health and quality of life of the vast number of Chinese residents. In the government at all levels, sports, public health, and other relevant departments, the emphasis on national physique is increasing day by day. This study focuses on the applications of computer and network technology in physical fitness and research, and makes full use of methods such as literature, expert interview, questionnaire, mathematical statistics, logic analysis, etc., in relevant theoretical literature and materials. Under the guidance, through the current situation analysis of the application of computer and network technology in physical fitness under the conditions of family and community, and the related professional sports and fitness clubs in Chaoyang District of Beijing, a questionnaire is used to systematically discuss the feasibility of the application of the network in physical fitness and the current application status of computer and network technology in physical fitness in China. The research results show that computer and network technology can break the limitation of time and space for physical fitness and provide monitoring and guidance in family, community, and office fitnesses. It has great application prospects in physical fitness work.

    Abstract Maintaining the safe and efficient operation of network technology is an important development task of the computer industry. Topology constraint can optimize and combine the tracking results and select the target objects with better tracking performance to obtain the final tracking results and determine the target scale changes. Data mining technology can reduce the number of combinations to be detected, reduce the workload, and improve the timeliness and accuracy of the process of mining alarm association rules. Therefore, based on the summary and analysis of previous research results, this paper studied the network fault diagnosis of the embedded system method based on topology constraint and data mining. Firstly, a fault diagnosis topology model was established by constructing a topology search algorithm, which eliminated the filtering of association rules without topology relationship; the association rule-based data mining model was analyzed through the collection of network alarm data; the model algorithm was applied to the simulation experiment of network fault diagnosis of the embedded system and achieved good results. The results show that correcting rage of retrieval varies from 0.65 to 090 under different window sizes; the running time of the proposed method drops from 310 s to 35 s during 1–8 step/s of the sliding step, while the node degree ranges from 8 to 14 and diagnostic accuracy ranges from 0.97 to 0.94; the remaining alarm number increases from 0.5 to 3.5 threshold value, while the regular association number distributed in an interval of 40 to 140. The algorithm in this paper provides a reference for further research on network fault diagnosis of the embedded system.

    Abstract In the post-industrial epoch, numerous industrial wastelands are found worldwide. Industrial heritage—a testament to urban progress and an emblem of urban civilization—is at risk during urban development and the transformation of aging cities. Consequently, the preservation and enhancement of urban heritage resources are crucial. Concerning the tourism development of industrial heritage, various challenges arise. This study, using Nanjing Quarry Park as a case study, employs the S-O-R theory to organize the literature related to authentic experience, experience quality, tourist satisfaction, environmentally responsible behavior, and destination loyalty. Additionally, questionnaire surveys and field research are conducted. The data gathered from the survey on tourists’ authentic experiences are analyzed, forming a research model for responsible environmental behavior in industrial heritage attractions. The findings indicate that authentic experience and experience quality positively impact tourist satisfaction, environmentally responsible behavior, and destination loyalty. The system modeling and evaluation of the experience quality dimension for industrial heritage tourism sites fill a gap in the development of industrial heritage tourism. This study contributes to the utilization of industrial heritage sites for tourism development, which can bring about economic growth and cultural revitalization. Tourist satisfaction mediates the relationship between experience quality, environmentally responsible behavior, and destination loyalty. In conclusion, this research offers valuable theoretical backing and a practical foundation for the development of industrial heritage tourism.

    Abstract Transparency is an important property for polymer flame retardants, especially epoxy resin (EP) flame retardants, and flame-retardant epoxy resins that maintain a high transparency and low chromatic aberration play important roles in the optical, lighting, and energy industries. Herein, a DOPO-based flame retardant 6,6′-((sulfonylbis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))bis(dibenzo[c,e][1,2]oxaphosphinine 6-oxide) with a high transparency and low chromatic aberration was prepared via the classical Atherton–Todd reaction and named SBPDOPO. Its chemical structure was characterized with Fourier IR spectroscopy and NMR spectroscopy. An EP loaded with 7 wt% SBPDOPO passed the UL-94 V-0 rating with an LOI value of 32.1%, and the peak heat release rate, total heat release, and total smoke production were reduced by 34.1%, 31.6%, and 27.7%, respectively, compared with those of pure EP. In addition, the addition of SBPDOPO improved the thermal stability, residual mass, and glass transition temperature of the EP. On this basis, the EP containing 7 wt% SBPDOPO maintained a high transparency and low color aberration, with a transmittance of 94% relative to that of pure EP and a color aberration ΔE of 1.63. Finally, the flame-retardant mechanism of SBPDOPO was analyzed, which demonstrated that it exerted both gas-phase and condensed-phase flame-retardant effects, and that SBPDOPO/EP had high potential for application scenarios in which both flame retardancy and transparency are needed. SBPDOPO/EP has great potential for applications requiring both flame retardancy and transparency.

    Abstract Although a plethora of studies demonstrate that information technology (IT) has a positive influence on integration, collaboration and coordination side of green supply chain management, our knowledge about the influence of IT resources on governance side remains limited, especially the relational and contractual governance, two of the fundamental governances in green supply chain management. Based on the transaction and agency cost perspective and literature of information systems and B2B governance, this study investigates how IT resources affect the effects of relational and contractual governance. The results show that IT resources could improve the relational governance (i.e., joint-actions) and contractual governance (explicit and contingent contract clauses designing), and thus, effectively mitigate partner’s opportunism. Finally, the theoretical contribution and implications for managers are also given in the end.

    Abstract Abstract Extensive research has been conducted to enhance the availability of IoT devices and data by focusing on the rapid prediction of instantaneous fault rates and temperatures. Temperature plays a crucial role in device availability as it significantly impacts equipment performance and lifespan. It serves as a vital indicator for predicting equipment failure and enables the improvement of availability and efficiency through effective temperature management. In the proposed optimization scheme for IoT device and data availability, the artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm and the K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN) algorithm are utilized to drive a neural network. The preliminary algorithm for availability optimization is chosen, and the target is divided into two parts: data optimization and equipment optimization. Suitable models are constructed for each part, and the KNN-driven neural network algorithm is employed to solve the proposed optimization model. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is clearly demonstrated by the verification results. When compared to the benchmark method, the availability forward fault-tolerant method, and the heuristic optimization algorithm, the maximum temperature was successfully reduced to 2.0750 °C. Moreover, significant enhancements in the average availability of IoT devices were achieved, with improvements of 27.03%, 15.76%, and 10.85% respectively compared to the aforementioned methods. The instantaneous failure rates were 100%, 87.89%, and 84.4% respectively for the three algorithms. This optimization algorithm proves highly efficient in eliminating fault signals and optimizing the prediction of time-limited satisfaction. Furthermore, it exhibits strategic foresight in the decision-making process.

    Abstract Upcycling harmful algal blooms (HABs) into short-chain organic matters (SCOMs) presents a significantly underexplored opportunity for addressing environmental concerns and achieving circular economy. But there are challenges of low HABs harvesting and SCOMs conversion efficiencies. To address these issues, a novel cellulose-based flocculant derived from abundant agricultural waste (wheat straw) was developed. This flocculant possesses high surface positive charge to aggregate negatively charged microalgae cells via charge neutralization mechanism, resulting in HABs harvesting efficiency of 97 %. Moreover, the flocculant can serve as a carbon to nitrogen (C/N) regulator to optimize the harvested slurry properties for downstream fermentation. Following hydrothermal pretreatment for one hour, the HABs-flocculant slurry was effectively converted into SCOMs with a total energy output of 64.3 kJ/L and energy conversion efficiency of 67 %, in which SCOMs was major contributor (92 %). This work may inspire eco-friendly and cost-effective approach for HABs disposal with extra benefits of SCOMs production.

    Abstract Objective: Explore the possible intervention mechanism of Shenling Baizhu Powder on IBS-D from network data through network pharmacology and molecular docking simulation technology. Methods: Establish a complete regulatory network of Shenling Baizhu powder on IBS-D after obtaining the active components and drug targets of Shenling Baizhu Powder on the TCMSP platform and obtaining the disease targets of IBS-D from GeneCards and OMIM databases. Then screen out the potential best target of Shenling Baizhu Powder in IBS-D intervention network combining with the PPI network constructed in the STRING database, and screen the potential core of compounds through the molecular docking simulation and comparison with pivecurium bromide. After that,the related gene ontology functions and pathways of Shenling Baizhu Powder in treating IBS-D will be obtained though gene ontology(GO) enrichment analysis through DAVID database and Kyoto encyclo-pedia of genes and genomes(KEGG) pathways enrichment analysis through Bioconductor database. Results: The number of IBS-D disease-related targets was 2,724. And there were 184 active compounds in Shenling Baizhusan, among which 175 could act on IBS-D. After screening, four potential best targets of PTGS2, ESR1, AR and MAPK14 were obtained, and four core compounds of quercetin, luteolin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin were obtained by molecular docking simulation.GO enrichment analysis results showed that there were 92 biological processes, 18 cellular components and 21 molecular functions associated with shenling Baizhu Powder intervention IBS-D process. The results of KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that shenling Baizhu Powder had 172 pathways involved in the intervention of IBS-D. Conclusion: The intervention effect of Shenling Baizhu powder on IBS-D was better than pivecurium bromide in terms of the number of targets and the ease of binding to the targets.Its intervention process of IBS-D may be closely related to inflammation, cancer, endocrine disorders and other related ...
