Abstract The various areas of ultra-sensitive remote sensing research equipment development have provided new ways for assessing crop states. However, even the most promising areas of research, such as hyperspectral remote sensing or Raman spectrometry, have not yet led to stable results. In this review, the main methods for early plant disease detection are discussed. The best proven existing techniques for data acquisition are described. It is discussed how they can be applied to new areas of knowledge. The role of metabolomic approaches in the application of modern methods for early plant disease detection and diagnosis is reviewed. A further direction for experimental methodological development is indicated. The ways to increase the efficiency of modern early plant disease detection remote sensing methods through metabolomic data usage are shown. This article provides an overview of modern sensors and technologies for assessing the biochemical state of crops as well as the ways to apply them in synergy with existing data acquisition and analysis technologies for early plant disease detection.

Abstract The development of hyperspectral remote sensing equipment, in recent years, has provided plant protection professionals with a new mechanism for assessing the phytosanitary state of crops. Semantically rich data coming from hyperspectral sensors are a prerequisite for the timely and rational implementation of plant protection measures. This review presents modern advances in early plant disease detection based on hyperspectral remote sensing. The review identifies current gaps in the methodologies of experiments. A further direction for experimental methodological development is indicated. A comparative study of the existing results is performed and a systematic table of different plants' disease detection by hyperspectral remote sensing is presented, including important wave bands and sensor model information.

Abstract Early crop disease detection is one of the most important tasks in plant protection. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the early wheat leaf rust detection possibility using hyperspectral remote sensing. The first task of the study was to choose tools for processing and analyze hyperspectral remote sensing data. The second task was to analyze the wheat leaf biochemical profile by chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods. The third task was to discuss a possible relationship between hyperspectral remote sensing data and the results from the wheat leaves, biochemical profile analysis. The work used an interdisciplinary approach, including hyperspectral remote sensing and data processing methods, as well as spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods. As a result, (1) the VIS-NIR spectrometry data analysis showed a high correlation with the hyperspectral remote sensing data; (2) the most important wavebands for disease identification were revealed (502, 466, 598, 718, 534, 766, 694, 650, 866, 602, 858 nm). An early disease detection accuracy of 97–100% was achieved from fourth dai (day/s after inoculation) using SVM.

Abstract The paper discusses the role of weak intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds in the adsorption of benzyl alcohol, 2-phenylethanol and 2-phenylethylamine on graphitized thermal carbon black (GTCB). Using the B3LYP/aug-cc-pVDZ, B3LYP/aug-cc-pVTZ methods and the molecular-statistical theory of adsorption we found the structural and energetic parameters of the conformers to be stable in the gas phase and in the adsorbed state. The contribution of weak OHπ, NHπ, CHO hydrogen bonds to the stabilization of the conformers was defined by the method of non-covalent interactions (NCI). Based on the difference in the experimental and calculated values of the Henry constant Δ ln K1 < 0.25 (K1, cm(3) m(-2)) a high predictive power of molecular-statistical calculation of the thermodynamic characteristics of adsorption (TCA) has been shown. To obtain a high predictive power of molecular-statistical calculation it was necessary to take due account of the structural features of flexible molecules in the adsorbed state. A significant impact of the weak OHπGTCB intermolecular hydrogen bond of benzyl alcohol on the TCA values has been established.

Abstract The review describes the influence of serotonin (5-HT) and its receptor, transporter SERT and nuclear factor Nf-kB on the immune function of the body, particularly in the digestive tract. The mechanisms of the synthesis, metabolism and catab. olism of 5-HT are characterized. The targets for serotonin on cell level are immunoactive cells--neutrophils, eosinophils, leukocytes, monocytes and dendritic cells. Receptor and non-receptor described mechanisms of action of peripheral serotonin are described. immunoactive cells express on their membrane 5 HT1A-5-HT1E-5-HT2A-5-HT3-, 5-HT4- and 5-HT7-serotonin receptor subtypes. Activation of these receptors modulate the release of TNF-α, secretion of interleukins IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8/CXCL8, IL-12p40. Mediators of the non-receptor mechanisms are transporter SERT, tryptophan hydroxylase-1 and nuclear factor Nf-kB. Target-genes for Nf-kB are genes encoding cytokines. The cooperation of non/receptory pathways involved 5-HT1A- and 5-HT3 receptors. It is concluded that the diversity of ways of peripheral serotonin on the immune function of the body are existed.

Abstract Obesity and type 2 diabetes (DM2) in women are accompanied by atherogenic dyslipidemia, with the activation of lipid peroxidation (LPO), as well as disturbances in the antioxidant defense system (ADS). DM2 due to imbalance in LPO-ADS is accompanied by a high concentration of LPO products, decreased parameters of antioxidant systems and timpaired utilization of glucose by cells. The results obtained in this study suggest an important role of fatty acids and their metabolites in the pathogenesis of obesity and DM2, which should be taken into consideration during design and selection of appropriate preventive and therapeutic measures aimed at prevention or elimination of the violations.

Abstract We studied the function of the antioxidant system in tumor cell lines MCF-7 and H1299 that differ by the state of tumor suppressor gene p53. Exposure to different classes of cytotoxic compounds induced several types of antioxidant system responses that depend on the type of cell line. The effects of platinum(II) and platinum(IV) complexes on activity of antioxidant enzymes vary, which can be explained by differences in their accumulation and biotransformation in tumor cells. Triazole and oxazolidinone derivatives had little effect on activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase in H1299 cells, but increased superoxide dismutase activity in MCF-7 cells.
