Abstract An important aspect is social learning involves acquisition of knowledge, skills, abilities, habits over from friends, colleagues, social group they belong to.Purpose and research hypothesisSmall school activities is more effective if concrete terms of reference that would bring back to memory certain knowledge that to suggest solutions to solve and give him the opportunity to correct by comparing statements reality, this is why the main method of conducting educational process is observation.Working methodResearch group consisted of children of school age (7-12 years). Demographic information about the subjects covered: health, family composition and housing.Research resultsThe vast majority of children had good health, with no differences between the control group and the experimental group (p = 0.428). Regarding housing conditions, over half (57.1% in the control group and 51.4% in control group) live in two rooms, no child lives in a studio and two children in the experimental group live at home with yard. In both groups, two children did not provide information regarding their housing situation. Of children included in the study, a very high percentage (82.9% in the control group and 68.6% in the experimental group) is single copies: only six children in the control group and 10 in the control group have brothers or sisters. Under these conditions, more than half of the children have their own room (65.7% in the control group and 57.1% in the experimental group), the rest sharing a room with a brother or sister, or parents (in the case of two children experimental group).ConclusionsWe conclude that in terms of demographic variables (health status, family composition, housing), there are no differences between children in the two groups. Optimal integration in a social environment is based not only on the correct development of intellectual faculties, namely, the possibility of natural evolution on the moral values, scientific and so on, but necessarily and physical, to achieve a healthy body, fortified , harmoniously structured, able to cope with any social tasks.

Abstract Objective: To investigate comfort level and preferences of automated reminder systems (mail, email, text message, phone call, patient-portal message, and/or smartphone application) to promote adherence to recommended therapies for patients seeking care for urinary incontinence (UI) at our urology clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.
Methods: Anonymous surveys were distributed in English to adult patients with UI from 4/2019-5/2019. Patient demographics, UI type, and access to and use of the Internet, smartphone and patient-portal were assessed. Using a Likert scale, patients indicated level of comfort with each reminder system and numerically ranked each system. Statistical analyses were performed to identify patient characteristics associated with reminder modality and determine significance in ranking of systems.
Results: Fifty-seven patients (67.3 ± 16.3 years) completed the survey with an 87% response rate. Text-message and phone call reminder modalities were ranked the highest compared to other modalities (
Conclusion: Patients reported they were extremely comfortable with all communication modalities, except for smartphone applications in which patients were the least comfortable. The modalities most preferred by patients were phone call and text message and least preferred were patient portal and smart phone application. In conclusion, phone calls and text messages were the most preferred communication modality, with smart phone applications as the least comfortable.
Innovation: This study demonstrates the potential utility of specific reminder modalities for patients seeking help with treatment adherence.

Abstract Memory CD8+ T cells accumulate with aging, while the naïve T cell compartment decreases, leading to an increased susceptibility to infections and a decreased vaccine efficiency. To get deeper insights into the underlying mechanisms, this study aims to determine the age-dependent expression profile of total versus memory CD8+ T cells from young and old donors. Total CD8+ and CD8+CD45RA- memory T cells isolated from young (<30 years) and old (>60 years) donors were stimulated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies for 48h before analyzing the cytokine secretion and activation markers by flow cytometry and changes in the expression profiles using RNA sequencing. Gene ontology (GO) term enrichment analyses were performed for up-regulated and uniquely expressed transcripts identified in the T cell populations of both age groups. Total and memory CD8+ T cells from old donors expressed significantly higher CD25 levels and have an increased cytokine secretion. While approximately 1,500 up-regulated transcripts were identified in all groups, CD8+CD45RA- memory T cells of old donors had approximately 500 more uniquely expressed transcripts. Four GO terms related to the JAK-STAT pathway were identified for up-regulated transcripts in the total CD8+ T cells of old donors, whereas CD8+CD45RA- memory T cells GO terms related to adjacent pathways, like JNK and MAPK/ERK, were found. Additionally, the unique transcripts of CD8+CD45RA- memory T cells of old donors were related to the JNK, MAPK and IL-12 pathways. For both T cell populations of the old donors, cytokine and JAK-STAT pathway transcripts were up-regulated. Thus, an age-dependent effect was observed on the transcriptomes of total and memory CD8+ T cells. The CD8+ CD45RA- memory T cells from old donors maintained the increased cytokine secretion of the total CD8+ T cell population and the increased JAK-STAT pathway transcripts, which have an impact on inflammation and senescence.

Abstract Objective: In addition to assessing educational needs of family medicine trainees in Ghana, we sought to assess whether those entering the training programme aimed to pursue an academic career.
Design: A case study using an anonymous cross-sectional survey through collaboration between faculty members from the family medicine departments of Ghana and the University of Michigan.
Setting: The family medicine postgraduate trainees and the most recent graduates in the three training sites, Accra, Kumasi and Mampong, as well as modular residents in Ghana served as the targeted participants during data collection between October and November of 2018.
Participants: Second and third year family medicine residents, fellows (known as senior residents in Ghana) and recent graduates were invited to participate in this study. Thirty-five of 77 eligible subjects provided responses (46% response rate), but five records were eliminated due to incomplete data to yield a survey completion rate of 39% (30/77).
Result: Participants were mostly men (n=19), and the average age of respondents was 37 years old. The participants indicated the residency programmes needed more faculty 97
Conclusion: The research confirms the need for more faculty and the importance of investing in faculty development resources for ensuring a robust programme. These findings provide constructive feedback that could improve residency curricula of the local and regional family medicine training programmes and supports investing in trainees and new graduates as future faculty candidates.

Abstract At least 27 million men present with urogenital manifestations of genital filariasis (GF). Although there is a large burden of GF in residents in endemic regions, infection in short-term travellers and in non-endemic areas is rare. We report the case of a 75-year-old Italian man referred to our institution for a testicular discomfort. Clinical examination and ultrasound detected a mass of 40×18 mm in the scrotum without signs of varicocele, hydrocele and testicular or epididymal abnormalities. After ineffective medical treatment, the patient underwent surgical excision. Histology demonstrated filarial granuloma with thick cuticles pathognomonic of an adult worm in the testicular tunics. Surgery has a fundamental role in localized cases of GF to remove nematodes from the fibrotic nodules. The present manuscript describes a singular case of GF observed in Italy in a non-immigrant patient with evidence of remnants of an adult worm in the testicular tunics. SIMILAR CASES PUBLISHED: 11.

Abstract Purpose: To assess the quantitative and qualitative components of in-person focus groups as a potential intervention for female patients with urinary incontinence.
Methods: Women over the age of 18 seeking treatment for UI were randomized to standard care with focus group participation or to standard care alone. All participants completed validated questionnaires: MESA, UDI-6, OAB-SAT-q, PGI-S, PGI-I, SQoL-F, PHQ-9, IPAQ at the beginning and conclusion of the study. Questionnaires were analyzed with repeated measures of ANOVA models in an intention-to-treat manner. Three moderated focus group sessions were held and audio recorded. Recordings were transcribed and categorized by frequency into themes using grounded theory methodology.
Results: A total of ten control and eight intervention participants agreed to participate. Seven women attended all three focus group sessions and were included in the final analysis. Transcripts from focus group sessions observed women identified most with (1) urinary incontinence (UI) as a chronic disease, (2) shame managing UI, and (3) social constraints of toileting. Participants self-reported appreciation of focus group participation and desire for on-going sessions. Analysis of the questionnaires did not demonstrate statistically significant differences.
Conclusion: Data ascertained from questionnaires were unable to demonstrate a meaningful effect in improved treatment outcomes for control and intervention participants. Grounded theory analysis of transcripts identified four primary themes: (1) appreciation of the focus group, (2) UI as a gendered issue, (3) lack of public awareness, and (4) history of negative provider interactions. All focus group participants self-reported interest in attending future focus group sessions.

Abstract This paper describes a study performed in the frame of Wearables project and reports preliminary results. Objective of the study was the implementation of an integrated service finalized to increase employees' well-being through the investigation on the correlation between daily working activity and the observed physical parameters. The project monitored 28 volunteers employed in the field of waste collection (at the Amey's contract with Wolverhampton City Council), for a total of 275 data acquisition sessions. The study has been performed using sensing textiles, to collect objective work-correlated parameters during daily activity, aiming at the acquisition of objective indicators for an improved wellbeing. Physical parameters like heart rate, energy expenditure and heart rate activity-zones distribution have been evaluated from data acquired during normal working activity. The service produced encouraging results both in terms of monitoring individual subjects and in identifying trends correlated to different roles or tasks covered by workers. Also in term of usability and acceptability the system showed interesting potentialities, proving how wearable technologies can trigger innovative approaches and open new prospective in the growing field of workplace wellness.
