Abstract This book introduces the clinical analysis and accompany cases of paediatric Kawasaki disease. It has 14 chapters about typical Kawasaki disease, atypical Kawasaki disease, recurrent, misdiagnosis, and complications involved different systems, such as cardiovascular, digestive, nervous, blood, respiratory, urinary, bone and joints, and endocrine systems complications. In this book, 53 Kawasaki cases are presented with clinical history, physical examination, laboratory findings, diagnosis, treatment and discussion. This book is helpful for clinicians, ultrasonologist, and radiologist to support early diagnosis and proper treatment, which can significantly improve the prognosis of Kawasaki disease.

Abstract In order to study the effects of corrosion damage on the hysteresis properties of high strength steel (HSS), dry-wet cycle corrosion tests were conducted on Q690D steel to obtain 6 batches of corroded specimens, and cyclic loading tests were performed on them to analyse the degradation law of hysteresis curve, skeleton curve and hysteretic energy, and then establish the hysteresis constitutive model of corroded HSS steel. Results indicated that although the hysteresis curves of corroded specimens are still smooth and full, corrosion damage would result in the continuous decrease of peak stress, and lead to the linear reduction of hysteresis energy. Besides, the cyclic hardening coefficient K’ and cyclic hardening index n’ of HSS would also decrease linearly with corrosion degree. Based on these experimental results, a new hysteresis constitutive model for corroded HSS steel was proposed, and its validity was verified.

Abstract Fuel cells (FCs) have attracted widespread attention as a highly efficient, clean, and renewable energy conversion technology. Proton exchange membrane (PEM), as one of the core components of FCs, plays a crucial role, and a comprehensive summary of its development is essential for promoting rapid progress in the field of sustainable energy. This article provides a comprehensive review of the development status and research trends of PEMs over the past twenty-eight years, based on statistical analysis and data mining techniques. Price, sustainability, stability, and compatibility issues are the main challenges faced by current PEMs used in FCs research. The current research focuses mainly on the characterization, performance optimization, enhancement mechanisms, and applications of PEMs in FCs. This review provides a systematic summary of PEM materials, serving as a valuable reference for the development, application, and promotion of new PEM materials in FCs.

Abstract Public acceptance plays an essential role in successfully constructing and operating innovative and evolving technologies that promote ecological sustainability and pollution reduction. The present study investigates the factors influencing public acceptance of plastic waste-to-energy gasification projects. The research added social trust and health consciousness to the theory of planned behavior. Using the structural equation modeling, 513 valid survey questionnaire responses from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, China, were analyzed. The most notable results reveal that attitude, social norms, and perceived behavioral control have a major impact on the public acceptability of the initiative. There was no correlation between social trust and public support for the project. Social trust affects public acceptance of the project through attitude. Health consciousness was shown to be favorably connected with public approval of the project both directly and indirectly through attitude. This study serves policymakers and stakeholders with robust policy recommendations to promote public acceptance of plastic waste-to-energy gasification schemes and other hazardous facilities.
