Abstract As a prominent research area in tissue repair and regeneration, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have garnered substantial attention for their potential in the treatment of various diseases. It is now widely recognized that the therapeutic effects of MSCs primarily occur through paracrine mechanisms. Among these mechanisms, exosomes play a crucial role by exerting a series of regulatory effects on surrounding cells and tissues. While exosomes have shown promise in treating various diseases, they do have some limitations, such as limited secretion, poor targeting, and single functionality. However, MSC preconditioning can enhance the production of exosomes, lead to more stable functionality and improve therapeutic effects. Moreover, exosomes could also serve as carriers for specific drugs or genes, enabling more precise treatments of diseases. This review summarizes the most recent literatures on how preconditioning of MSCs influences the regenerative potential of their exosomes in tissue repair and provides new insights into the therapeutic application of exosomes derived from MSCs.

Abstract Background: With the in-depth development of assistive treatment devices, the application of artificial knee joints in the rehabilitation of amputees is becoming increasingly mature. The length of residual limbs and muscle strength of patients have individual differences, and the current artificial knee joint lacks certain adaptability in the personalized rehabilitation of patients.
Purpose: In order to deeply analyze the impact of different types of artificial knee joints on the walking function of unilateral thigh amputees, improve the performance of artificial knee joints, and enhance the rehabilitation effect of patients, this article combines image processing technology to conduct in-depth research on the walking gait analysis of different artificial knee joints of unilateral thigh amputees.
Methods: This article divides patients into two groups: the experimental group consists of patients with single leg amputation, and the control group consists of patients with different prostheses. An image processing system is constructed using universal video and computer hardware, and relevant technologies are used to recognize and track landmarks; Furthermore, image processing technology was used to analyze the gait of different groups of patients. Finally, by analyzing the different psychological reactions of amputees, corresponding treatment plans were developed.
Results: Different prostheses worn by amputees have brought varying degrees of convenience to life to a certain extent. The walking stability of wearing hydraulic single axis prosthetic joints is only 79%, and the gait elegance is relatively low. The walking stability of wearing intelligent artificial joints is as high as 96%. Elegant gait is basically in good condition.
Conclusion: Image processing technology helps doctors and rehabilitation practitioners better understand the gait characteristics and rehabilitation progress of patients wearing different artificial knee joints, providing objective basis for personalized rehabilitation of patients.

Abstract Improving corporate green technology innovation is a key link in achieving green transformation and development. Compared with formal environmental regulations that force companies to carry out green innovation passively, ESG ratings under soft environmental regulations can better stimulate the internal motivation of companies. This study uses the ESG ratings of listed companies published for the first time by SynTao Green Finance as an exogenous impact. Taking China's A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2022 as a research sample, the multi-period differences-in-differences model was used to empirically test the impact of ESG rating soft supervision on corporate green technology innovation. The results show that the impact of ESG rating events as a soft market regulation has a significant positive impact on the improvement of corporate green technology innovation. This conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests. Meanwhile, enterprise digital transformation plays a positive regulatory role. The heterogeneity test shows that the green technology innovation of state-owned enterprises is more affected by ESG ratings. Mechanism research has found that ESG rating events promote corporate green technology innovation by easing corporate financing constraints and reducing managerial myopia. Further research found that under the influence of the external environment, intensified market competition and increased attention from the capital market are also conducive to the improvement of corporate green technology innovation. This study strengthens the corporate ESG concept under the guidance of green development and provides empirical evidence for promoting corporate green transformation.

Abstract Intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) is defined as differences in molecular and phenotypic profiles between different tumor cells and immune cells within a tumor. ITH was involved in the cancer progression, aggressiveness, therapy resistance and cancer recurrence. Integrative machine learning procedure including 10 methods was conducted to develop an ITH-related signature (IRS) in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), GSE54467, GSE59455 and GSE65904 cohort. Several scores, including tumor immune dysfunction and exclusion (TIDE) score, tumor mutation burden (TMB) score and immunophenoscore (IPS), were used to evaluate the role of IRS in predicting immunotherapy benefits. Two immunotherapy datasets (GSE91061 and GSE78220) were utilized to the role of IRS in predicting immunotherapy benefits of skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) patients. The optimal prognostic IRS constructed by Lasso method acted as an independent risk factor and had a stable and powerful performance in predicting the overall survival rate in SKCM, with the area under the curve of 2-, 3- and 4-year receiver operating characteristic curve being 0.722, 0.722 and 0.737 in TCGA cohort. We also constructed a nomogram and the actual 1-, 3- and 5-year survival times were highly consistent with the predicted survival times. SKCM patients with low IRS scores had a lower TIDE score, lower immune escape score and higher TMB score, higher PD1&CTLA4 IPS. Moreover, SKCM patients with low IRS scores had a lower gene sets score involved in DNA repair, angiogenesis, glycolysis, hypoxia, IL2-STAT5 signaling, MTORC1 signaling, NOTCH signaling and P53 pathway. The current study constructed a novel IRS in SKCM using 10 machine learning methods. This IRS acted as an indicator for predicting the prognosis and immunotherapy benefits of SKCM patients.

Abstract A new method for designing metasurfaces has been proposed and demonstrated, which allows for the generation of precise quantitative field distributions. This unique approach involves combining a tandem neural network with an iterative algorithm to optimize the metasurface design, enabling accurate control over the intensity and polarization of the resulting field. This strategy is both efficient and robust and has the potential to accelerate the development of metasurface devices with complex functionalities.

Abstract Topological elastic wave metamaterials have shown significant advantages in manipulating wave propagation and realizing localized modes. However, topological properties of most mechanical metamaterials are difficult to change because of structural limitations. This work proposes the elastic wave metamaterials with double coupled chains and active control, in which band inversion and topological interface modes can be achieved by flexibly tuning negative capacitance circuits. Finite element simulations and experiments are performed to demonstrate the topological interface modes, which show good agreements with the theoretical results. This research seeks to provide effective strategies for the design and application of topological elastic wave metamaterials.
