Abstract In order to explore the mechanism of reaction involving Al-polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) mechanically activated energetic composites, a molecular dynamics simulation was carried out to predict the pyrolysis of PTFE. Then, density functional theory (DFT) was applied to calculate the mechanism of reaction between the products of PTFE pyrolysis and Al. Furthermore, the pressure and temperature obtained during the reaction of Al-PTFE were tested to study the chemical structure before and after heating. Finally, the laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy experiment was performed. According to the experimental results, the main pyrolysis products of PTFE include F, CF, CF

Abstract Today's society has been paying increasing attention to the important impact of family parenting practices on the development of adolescents. Adolescents with poor parenting practices may have poor academic performance in school, have low self-evaluation, and are more likely to be captured by video games and short videos. The present research explored the mediating role of fashion values and self-esteem in the relationship between a negative parenting style and adolescent learning ability. We aimed to deepen our understanding of the relationship between family parenting and adolescent value identity, as well as between individual self-esteem and school adaptation. We based our research on a total of 997 students in Shanghai from grades 6, 8 and 10. Furthermore, we made use of parenting behaviour, Chinese adolescent values, and of the revised Chinese version of the class drama questionnaires and of the Children's self-awareness scale. The chain mediation model was used to analyse the mediating effect of fashion values and self-esteem on parental rejection and peer evaluation learning ability. The results showed that fashion values played a partial mediating role between parental rejection and adolescent learning ability, and that parental rejection positively predicted fashion values, and fashion values negatively predicted learning ability. Self-esteem played a partial mediating role between parental rejection and adolescent learning ability, while parental rejection negatively predicted self-esteem and self-esteem positively predicted learning ability. Fashion values and self-esteem played a chain mediating role between parental rejection and adolescent learning ability, as parental rejection negatively predicted fashion values, fashion values positively predicted self-esteem, and self-esteem positively predicted learning ability. In conclusion, a negative parenting style influenced the development of adolescent value recognition and self-esteem, and affected the development of adolescent learning ability. That said, we should encourage families to adopt a positive parenting style and adolescent quality education to positively impact adolescent development.

Abstract Background: Lysine crotonylation (Kcr) is a crucial protein post-translational modification found in histone and non-histone proteins. It plays a pivotal role in regulating diverse biological processes in both animals and plants, including gene transcription and replication, cell metabolism and differentiation, as well as photosynthesis. Despite the significance of Kcr, detection of Kcr sites through biological experiments is often time-consuming, expensive, and only a fraction of crotonylated peptides can be identified. This reality highlights the need for efficient and rapid prediction of Kcr sites through computational methods. Currently, several machine learning models exist for predicting Kcr sites in humans, yet models tailored for plants are rare. Furthermore, no downloadable Kcr site predictors or datasets have been developed specifically for plants. To address this gap, it is imperative to integrate existing Kcr sites detected in plant experiments and establish a dedicated computational model for plants.
Results: Most plant Kcr sites are located on non-histones. In this study, we collected non-histone Kcr sites from five plants, including wheat, tabacum, rice, peanut, and papaya. We then conducted a comprehensive analysis of the amino acid distribution surrounding these sites. To develop a predictive model for plant non-histone Kcr sites, we combined a convolutional neural network (CNN), a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM), and attention mechanism to build a deep learning model called PlantNh-Kcr. On both five-fold cross-validation and independent tests, PlantNh-Kcr outperformed multiple conventional machine learning models and other deep learning models. Furthermore, we conducted an analysis of species-specific effect on the PlantNh-Kcr model and found that a general model trained using data from multiple species outperforms species-specific models.
Conclusion: PlantNh-Kcr represents a valuable tool for predicting plant non-histone Kcr sites. We expect that this model will aid in addressing key challenges and tasks in the study of plant crotonylation sites.

Abstract To meet the demand for the accurate measurements of the dynamic pressure of a shock wave, a composite dynamic pressure sensor design method is proposed based on the formation mechanism, propagation characteristics, special testing environment of the dynamic pressure, and Pitot tube structure. The dynamic pressure of the shock wave is evaluated by the total pressure and static pressure units installed in the composite sensor. FLUENT simulation software was used to analyze the aerodynamic characteristics of the dynamic pressure sensor, and parameters such as the structural size and inlet position of the sensor were determined. In response to the special experimental environment of the shock wave, the requirements for the dynamic pressure measurements under damage conditions were analyzed, and a dynamic pressure testing system was established. Dynamic pressure tests with four 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene [C7H5(NO2)3] equivalents of 1, 2, 15, and 20 kg were carried out. The experimental results show that the proposed sensor design method can accurately and effectively measure the dynamic pressure signal, and the dynamic pressure gain multiple decreases with an increase in the proportional distance. This provides an effective testing method for evaluating the dynamic pressure damage effect of ammunition systems.

Abstract The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has broadly supported quality by design initiatives for clinical trials - including monitoring and data validation - by releasing two related guidance documents (FDA 2013 and 2019). Centralized statistical monitoring (CSM) can be a component of a quality by design process. In this article, we describe our experience with a CSM platform as part of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement between CluePoints and FDA. This agreement's approach to CSM is based on many statistical tests performed on all relevant subject-level data submitted to identify outlying sites. An overall data inconsistency score is calculated to assess the inconsistency of data from one site compared to data from all sites. Sites are ranked by the data inconsistency score (
