Abstract In the personal injury compensation system, the protection and relief of the injured people's rights to life, rights to health, and body rights are generally based on the results of disability assessment. Over the years, with the increased number of personal injury compensation cases, the practice of disability assessment have been greatly developed, and the development of disability assessment standards tends to be mature. However, the lack of basic theories for disability assessment has seriously affected the construction and unification of standards. Starting from the tort legal system of personal injury compensation, this article systematically analyzes the legal theories of disability assessment, and holds that the loss of labor ability is the legal basis for disability assessment in China, and the essence of disability assessment should be understood as the quantitative assessment of an individual's permanent loss of labor ability. This article combines the international disability assessment models and the primary concepts of American Medical Association's

Abstract Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in children may lead to acute kidney injury (AKI). Among 45 children with DKA in our center, eight cases had AKI on admission, and in one child, his kidney function did not recover until 3 mo after discharge. This child was treated with antibiotics (cephalosporin), and we cannot rule out delayed AKI recovery due to the combined effects of the drug and the disease. Pediatricians should be concerned about the impact of nephrotoxic drug and disease interactions on children's kidney function, and need to follow up children with DKA and AKI to determine the development of AKI.

Abstract For the problem of knowledge overload in the process of online learning and the traditional algorithm's poor recommendation accuracy and real-time performance in the massive educational resources, a deep learning-based recommendation model for online educational resources is proposed. First, attribute features of learners and learning resources are extracted, and then text features of learning resources are extracted, and attention fusion of features at multiple different scales is performed using a multiscale fusion strategy. Finally, the fused features are used as input to the multilayer perceptron to train the classification model. Through testing a variety of educational resources, it is verified that the model in this paper has better real-time performance while maintaining high detection accuracy and outperforms the mainstream comparison model in several indexes, which have a certain application value. It provides a new way of thinking for educational platforms to build real-time educational resource recommendations.

Abstract For several decades, extensive research has been conducted on motivation in language learning. However, how motivation impacts learning behaviours with the moderation of factors related to emotions, attitude, environment, and teachers has not been reported. This study aims to examine the moderating effects of these four motivational factors to explain the inconsistent effects of motivation on English learning behaviours across studies. Drawing on self-determination theory, the study investigated 182 high school English learners and explored how the four motivational factors moderate the relationship between students' motivation and their English learning behaviours. We first examined how the four motivational factors predicted intrinsic/extrinsic motivation and how intrinsic/extrinsic motivation predicted English learning behaviours. The results reveal that the four motivational factors all positively predicted intrinsic motivation, while language attitude positively predicted extrinsic motivation. Both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations positively predicted English learning behaviours, with intrinsic motivation exerting a stronger influence. Language attitude did not moderate the relationship between motivation and English learning behaviours. However, the other three factors enhanced the positive relationship between motivation and learning behaviours. Notably, at the low level of teacher-related factors, the impact of extrinsic motivation on English learning behaviours was insignificant. Related implications are discussed.

Abstract Multiband terahertz (THz) detectors have attractive prospects in the areas of THz sensing and imaging. This paper presents a monolithic resonant CMOS fully integrated triple-band THz thermal detector that is composed of a compact loop antenna and an optimized proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) sensor, leading to an uncooled, compact, low-cost, easy-integration, and mass-production multiband detector. The principles of operation, theoretical calculation, and experimental validation are demonstrated in detail. Calculated responsivities are 34.9 V/W, 51.6 V/W, and 47.6 V/W at the operation frequencies of 0.91 THz, 2.58 THz, and 4.3 THz, respectively, for the natural atmospheric windows. Relatively better experimental results are obtained at 0.91 THz and 2.58 THz due to the scarcity of THz sources, showing maximum responsivities of 29.2 V/W and 46.5 V/W with minimum NEPs of 1.57 µW/Hz

Abstract Pleiotrophin (PTN) is a potent mitogenic cytokine with a high affinity for the polysaccharide glycosaminoglycan (GAG). Although it is most strongly associated with neural development during embryogenesis and the neonatal period, its expression has also been linked to a plethora of other physiological events including cancer metastasis, angiogenesis, bone development, and inflammation. A considerable amount of research has been carried out to understand the mechanisms by which PTN regulates these events. In particular, PTN has now been shown to bind a diverse collection of receptors including many GAG-containing proteoglycans. These interactions lead to the activation of many intracellular kinases and, ultimately, activation and transformation of cells. Structural studies of PTN in complex with both GAG and domains from its non-proteoglycan receptors reveal a binding mechanism that relies on electrostatic interactions and points to PTN-induced receptor oligomerization as one of the possible ways PTN uses to control cellular functions.

Abstract The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the effects of financial development, human capital, globalization, and renewable energy consumption on ecological and carbon footprint. For this purpose, the data was collected from four countries i.e. Brazil, Russia, India, and China for 20 years (1997-2016). The 20 years panel data collected for these countries was analyzed through "auto-regressive distributed lag" (ARDL). Findings of this study reveal that human capital is a significant positive determinant of environmental degradation in short run and long run while renewable energy consumption is a significant negative determinant of environmental degradation in short run and long run. Findings further reveal that globalization significantly reduces environmental degradation in short run and long run. Furthermore, findings show that the financial development significantly positively affects the environmental degradation in short run and long run. Therefore, renewable energy consumption and globalization are found to be negative predictors of ecological footprint and carbon footprint while human capital and financial development are found to be positive predictors of ecological footprint and carbon footprint. These findings are expected to be great contribution to the literature and practice, as they will help researchers and policymakers to realize the relative importance of energy, educational, economic, and trade policies in determining the environmental degradation.

Abstract We propose an effective method for the solution of the plane problem of an edge dislocation in the vicinity of a circular inhomogeneity with Steigmann-Ogden interface. Using analytic continuation, the pair of analytic functions defined in the infinite matrix surrounding the inhomogeneity can be expressed in terms of the pair of analytic functions defined inside the circular inhomogeneity. Once the two analytic functions defined in the circular inhomogeneity are expanded in Taylor series with unknown complex coefficients, the Steigmann-Ogden interface condition can be written explicitly in complex form. Consequently, all of the complex coefficients appearing in the Taylor series can be uniquely determined so that the two pairs of analytic functions are then completely determined. An explicit and general expression of the image force acting on the edge dislocation is derived using the Peach-Koehler formula.
