Abstract The paper introduces the general situation on academic school of acupuncture and moxibustion in ancient China, the status of the modern genres of acupuncture and moxibustion, as well as the existing problems in the relevant studies. It is pointed out that "academic school" and "genre" should be distinguished each other in terms of modern context. The former should refer to the school of academic theory, while the latter should be the school of clinical treatment technology. It would be best to classify the modern academic school of acupuncture and moxibustion based on the therapeutic techniques with specific characteristics for the outline, focusing on the study of the academic thought of each genre. Modern genres of acupuncture and moxibustion should be more inclusive and open, "encouraging the unique academic views", rather than "restricting access to inheritance". The development of modern genres of acupuncture and moxibustion is an important driving force for the development of acupuncture-moxibustion discipline and it is ought to contribute to the reconstruction of medical theory of acupuncture and moxibustion.

Abstract The information fusion technique can integrate a large amount of data and knowledge representing the same real-world object and obtain a consistent, accurate and useful representation of that object. The data may be independent or redundant, and can be obtained by different sensors at the same time or at different times. A suitable combination of investigative methods can substantially increase the profit of information in comparison with that from a single sensor.Multi-sensor information fusion has been a key issue in sensor research since the 1970s and it has been applied in many fields, such as geospatial information systems, business intelligence, oceanography, discovery science, intelligent transport systems, wireless sensor networks, etc. Recently, thanks to the vast development in sensor and computer memory technologies, more and more sensors are being used in practical systems and a large amount of measurement data are recorded and restored, which may actually be the time series big data. For example, sensors in machines and process control industries can generate a lot of data, which have real, actionable business value. The fusion of these data can greatly improve productivity through digitization. The goal of this Special Issue is to report on innovative ideas and solutions for the methods of multi-sensor information fusion in the emerging applications era, focusing on development, adoption and applications

Abstract Biocatalysis is an established technology with significant application in the pharmaceutical industry. Immobilization of enzymes offers significant benefits for commercial and practical purposes to enhance the stability and recyclability of biocatalysts. Determination of the spatial and chemical distributions of immobilized enzymes on solid support materials is essential for an optimal catalytic performance. However, current analytical methodologies often fall short of rapidly identifying and characterizing immobilized enzyme systems. Herein, we present a new analytical methodology that combines non-negative matrix factorization (NMF)-an unsupervised machine learning tool-with Raman hyperspectral imaging to simultaneously resolve the spatial and spectral characteristics of all individual species involved in enzyme immobilization. Our novel approach facilitates the determination of the optimal NMF model using new data-driven, quantitative selection criteria that fully resolve all chemical species present, offering a robust methodology for analyzing immobilized enzymes. Specifically, we demonstrate the ability of NMF with Raman hyperspectral imaging to resolve the spatial and spectral profiles of an engineered pantothenate kinase immobilized on two different commercial microporous resins. Our results demonstrate that this approach can accurately identify and spatially resolve all species within this enzyme immobilization process. To the best of our knowledge, this is the

Abstract The construction of 3D design model is a hotspot of applied research in the fields of clothing functional design system teaching and display. The simple 3D clothing visualization postprocessing lacks interactive functions, which is a hot issue that needs to be solved urgently at present. Based on analyzing the existing clothing modeling technology, template technology, and fusion technology, and based on the multimodal clustering network theory, this paper proposes a 3D clothing design resource knowledge graph modeling method with multiple fusion of features and templates. The position of each joint point is converted into the coordinate system centered on the torso point in advance and normalized to avoid the problem that the relative position of the camera and the collector cannot be determined, and the shape of different collectors is different. The paper provides a multimodal clustering network intelligence method, illustrates the interoperability of users switching between different design networks in the seamless connection movement, and combines the hybrid intelligence algorithm with the fuzzy logic interpretation algorithm to solve the problems in the field of 3D clothing design service quality. During the simulation process, the research scheme builds a logical multimodal clustering network framework, which integrates compatibility access and global access partition fusion of style templates to achieve information extraction of clothing parts. The experimental results show that the realistic 3D clothing modeling can be achieved by layering the 3D clothing map, contour features, clothing size features, and color texture features with the modeling template. The developed ActiveX control is mounted on MSN, and the system is compatible. The performance and integration rate reached 77.1% and 89.7%, respectively, which effectively strengthened the practical role of the 3D clothing design system.

Abstract Atherosclerosis (AS) is the typical cardiovascular disease, which is the main underlying inducement of cardiovascular diseases. Aberrant expression of long noncoding RNA HLA complex group 11 (HCG11) was engaged with atherosclerosis. The objective of the present research was to explore the role and the potential mechanism of HCG11 in AS. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were stimulated with oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) to induce the AS model in vitro. The cell viability was detected by MTT assay. Flow cytometry was performed to determine cell pyroptosis. Gene and protein levels were detected by qPCR or Western blot assay. The interaction between HCG11, miR-224-3p, and Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) was validated by dual-luciferase reporter assays. Ox-LDL treatment aggravated cell pyroptosis and inflammation in HUVECs. And the levels of HCG11 and JAK1 was enhanced in ox-LDL-induced HUVECs, while miR-224-3p expression was reduced. Additionally, knockdown of HCG11 or miR-224-3p overexpression reversed the ox-LDL-induced cell viability decline and the increase of cell pyroptosis and inflammation-related proteins, including gasdermin D N-terminal (GSDMD-N), Caspase-1, NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3), interleukin 18 (IL-18), and interleukin 1beta (IL-1β). Moreover, HCG11 could modulate the JAK1 expression via targeting miR-224-3p. The inhibitory effect of HCG11 silencing on cell pyroptosis and inflammation was reversed by miR-224-3p knockdown. Furthermore, overexpression of miR-224-3p could repress the ox-LDL-induced cell pyroptosis and inflammation via regulating JAK1 expression. Knockdown of HCG11 alleviated cell pyroptosis and inflammation induced by ox-LDL via targeting the miR-224-3p/JAK1 axis, indicating that HCG11 could be the latent target of diagnosis or treatment for AS.

Abstract ConspectusPhotochromic diarylethenes featuring reversible regulation by external light irradiation have attracted increasing attention in versatile applications such as logic gates, supramolecular systems, liquid crystals, and super-resolution imaging because of their outstanding bistability and fatigue resistance. However, for typical diarylethene systems, there always exist three typical unsolved issues. The first is how to modulate the bistability between the open and closed forms from the viewpoint of ethene bridge aromaticity. The second is how to decrease and avoid the photoinactive parallel conformer in order to achieve a high quantum yield, since the open form possesses the photoactive antiparallel (
