Abstract: Objective: To investigate the correlation between 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2, 6-biphosphatase 3 (PFKFB3) and the inflammatory activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cell (PMN-MDSC) in acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and ... ...

Abstract Objective: To investigate the correlation between 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2, 6-biphosphatase 3 (PFKFB3) and the inflammatory activation of polymorphonuclear myeloid-derived suppressor cell (PMN-MDSC) in acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and to evaluate the effect of intervention targeting PFKFB3 on the inflammatory activation of PMN-MDSC during AMI.
Methods: (1) Clinical trial section: a observational study was conducted. The patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) admitted to Zhenjiang Fourth People's Hospital were enrolled, and they were divided into AMI group and non-AMI group according to clinical diagnosis. The peripheral venous blood of the two groups was collected to detect the proportion of PMN-MDSC, and the expression of PFKFB3 gene in mononuclear cells was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). (2) Basic experiment section: a total of 30 male C57 mice (aged 6-8 weeks) were divided into normal control group (n = 5), Sham group (n = 5), AMI model group (n = 10) and PFKFB3 inhibitor PKF-15 intervention group (n = 10) according to random number table method. The AMI model of mice was reproduced by left anterior descending coronary artery (LADCA) ligation, and the mice in the Sham group did not attach the artery after thoracotomy. The PKF-15 intervention group was intraperitoneally injected with PKF-15 (20 μg/g) at the same time of LADCA ligation. Normal control mice did not receive any treatment. Peripheral venous blood and myocardial tissue of mice were collected 24 hours after modeling. Both the circulating PMN-MDSC ratio and the infiltration of PMN-MDSC in myocardial tissue were detected. After staining with hematoxylin-eosin (HE), the degree of inflammatory damage in mouse myocardial tissue was observed under light microscopy. PMN-MDSC were isolated from mice with flow cytometry, and the gene expressions of PFKFB3 and inflammatory factors were measured by RT-qPCR.
Results: (1) Clinical trial section: the circulating PMN-MDSC ratio of patients in the AMI group (n = 25) was significantly higher than that in the non-AMI group [n = 20; (8.53±0.96)% vs. (1.13±0.39)%, P < 0.01], and PFKFB3 gene expression in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells was also increased (2
Conclusions: The activation of PFKFB3 is closely related to the inflammatory activation of PMN-MDSC during AMI. Inhibition of PFKFB3 activity can inhibit the inflammatory activation of PMN-MDSC and reduce myocardial inflammatory injury.

Abstract Segmentation-based scene text detection algorithms can handle arbitrary shape scene texts and have strong robustness and adaptability, so it has attracted wide attention. Existing segmentation-based scene text detection algorithms usually only segment the pixels in the center region of the text, while ignoring other information of the text region, such as edge information, distance information, etc., thus limiting the detection accuracy of the algorithm for scene text. This paper proposes a plug-and-play module called the Region Multiple Information Perception Module (RMIPM) to enhance the detection performance of segmentation-based algorithms. Specifically, we design an improved module that can perceive various types of information about scene text regions, such as text foreground classification maps, distance maps, direction maps, etc. Experiments on MSRA-TD500 and TotalText datasets show that our method achieves comparable performance with current state-of-the-art algorithms.

Abstract Arbitrary shape scene text detection is of great importance in scene understanding tasks. Due to the complexity and diversity of text in natural scenes, existing scene text algorithms have limited accuracy for detecting arbitrary shape text. In this paper, we propose a novel arbitrary shape scene text detector through boundary points dynamic optimization(BPDO). The proposed model is designed with a text aware module (TAM) and a boundary point dynamic optimization module (DOM). Specifically, the model designs a text aware module based on segmentation to obtain boundary points describing the central region of the text by extracting a priori information about the text region. Then, based on the idea of deformable attention, it proposes a dynamic optimization model for boundary points, which gradually optimizes the exact position of the boundary points based on the information of the adjacent region of each boundary point. Experiments on CTW-1500, Total-Text, and MSRA-TD500 datasets show that the model proposed in this paper achieves a performance that is better than or comparable to the state-of-the-art algorithm, proving the effectiveness of the model.

Abstract High-voltage electrical injury usually causes severe tissue damage and serious secondary complications. We report a case of treatment of severe high-voltage electrical injury. A series of personalized and effective treatment plans were created through repeated discussions, we successfully handled a series of acute and critical conditions, including severe limb damage, a very large area of full-thickness abdominal wall defect, abdominal viscera (stomach and liver) necrosis, abdominal infection, renal insufficiency, myocardial damage, and malignant arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation). Finally, the wounds were all closed, the functions of the abdominal organs were restored, and the course of the disease was successfully transitioned into the rehabilitation stage. It took a lot of twists and turns but ultimately saved the patient's life. The successful treatment of this patient provides an important reference for similar patients with serious electrical injury in the future.

Abstract Objective Based on the liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectormetry (LC-MS/MS), to study the effects of Pogostemon cablin on serum metabolism of Guizhou miniature pigs, and to explore its pharmacological mechanism. Methods Nine healthy Guizhou miniature pigs were divided into two groups, namely Pogostemon cablin drug group (n=5) and control group (n=4). The pigs in Pogostemon cablin drug group were orally fed with traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, each 0.5 g per day, for consecutive 8 days, while those in control group were given normal feeding without additional treatment. After the feeding experiment, serum samples were collected and analyzed using the LC-MS/MS technology. The metabolomics data was annotated and compared with KEGG, HMDB and Lipidmaps databases. Bioinformatics analysis methods including partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), intergroup clustering, differential metabolite analysis and functional enrichment were used to screen differential metabolic biomarkers and their possible metabolic pathways. Results Forty-four differential metabolites (P<0.05) were screened out from the 443 metabolites, eight differential metabolites were significantly up-regulated (P<0.01), namely cinnamoylglycine, N-benzyl-N-isopropyl-N'-[4-(trifluoromethoxy) phenyl]urea, hypotaurine, D-glucose 6-phosphate, cis-2-decenoic acid, 11(Z),14(Z)-eicosadienoic acid, prostaglandin A2 and 10-hydroxydecanoic acid, and three differential metabolites were significantly down-regulated (P<0.01), namely lysophosphatidyl choline 22:5, lysophosphatidic acid 22:6 and lysophosphatidic acid 22:5. The differential metabolites were mainly enriched in the metabolic pathways of alanine, aspartate and glutamate metabolism (MapID: map00250) and taurine and hypotaurine metabolism (MapID: map00430). Conclusion Pogostemon cablin can significantly affect the metabolism of lysophosphatidic acids in porcine, and relieve the disorder of amino acids metabolism and regulate the occurrence of inflammation by affecting ...

Abstract Scene text recognition, as a cross-modal task involving vision and text, is an important research topic in computer vision. Most existing methods use language models to extract semantic information for optimizing visual recognition. However, the guidance of visual cues is ignored in the process of semantic mining, which limits the performance of the algorithm in recognizing irregular scene text. To tackle this issue, we propose a novel cross-modal fusion network (CMFN) for irregular scene text recognition, which incorporates visual cues into the semantic mining process. Specifically, CMFN consists of a position self-enhanced encoder, a visual recognition branch and an iterative semantic recognition branch. The position self-enhanced encoder provides character sequence position encoding for both the visual recognition branch and the iterative semantic recognition branch. The visual recognition branch carries out visual recognition based on the visual features extracted by CNN and the position encoding information provided by the position self-enhanced encoder. The iterative semantic recognition branch, which consists of a language recognition module and a cross-modal fusion gate, simulates the way that human recognizes scene text and integrates cross-modal visual cues for text recognition. The experiments demonstrate that the proposed CMFN algorithm achieves comparable performance to state-of-the-art algorithms, indicating its effectiveness.

Abstract At present, the mental health problems of college students in China are on the rise. Many incentives lead to college students becoming a psychological vulnerable group, lacking the minimum "decompression ability" in the face of pressure. With the emergence of new media and the increasingly obvious fusion of new media and traditional media, the recognition algorithm of media fusion begins to enter people's vision, and multimedia fusion has gradually formed an irresistible development trend. Based on the media fusion recognition algorithm under the background of media fusion, this paper studies the model of college students' mental health education. In the process of comparing the accuracy of college students' mental health, the accuracy of this method is the highest, up to 99.25%, followed by the decision tree algorithm, up to 80.53%, and finally the ant colony algorithm, up to 75.25%. Therefore, this method is more conducive to the study of college students' mental health. Under the media fusion recognition algorithm, colleges and universities should give full play to the advantages of media fusion, broaden the path of mental health education, enhance the effectiveness of mental health education, improve the quality and efficiency of education, and guide the mental health growth of college students.

Abstract This work aims to explore the effects of the magnetic polystyrene particles (MPS) on contaminants removal of the high emulsified oil wastewater. 26 days intermittently-aerated progress illustrated that COD removal efficiency and the resistance to the shock loading was promoted in the presence of MPS. Gas chromatography (GC) results also indicated that MPS enhanced the number of organic species reduced. According to the cyclic voltammetry test, conductive MPS appeared special redox performance which was considered could to facilitate the extracellular electron transfer. Furthermore, MPS dosing accelerated the electron-transporting system (ETS) activity by 24.91% compared the control. Based on the superior performance above, the conductivity of MPS is considered to be responsible for the enhanced organic removal efficiency. Moreover, the high-throughput sequencing displayed that electroactive Cloacibacterium and Acinetobacter accounted for a higher proportion in the MPS reactor. Additionally, Porphyrobacter and Dysgonomonas which were capable of degrading organics were also enriched more by MPS. To sum up, MPS is a promising additive to enhance the organic substances removal for the high emulsified oil wastewater.
