Abstract Image captioning is a challenging modality transformation task in computer vision and natural language processing, aiming to understand the image content and describe it with a natural language. Recently, the relationship information between objects in the image has been investigated to be of importance in generating a more vivid and readable sentence. Many types of research have been done in relationship mining and learning for leveraging into the caption models. This paper mainly summarizes the methods of relational representation and relational encoding in image captioning. Besides, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these methods and provide commonly used datasets for the relational captioning task. Finally, the current problems and challenges in this task are highlighted.

Abstract Background: At present, there are more than 300 million asthma patients in the world. Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are considered as a new way of smoking and are loved by young people. The relationship between e-cigarettes and asthma risk is still controversial. Therefore, we conducted a meta-analysis to explore the relationship between e-cigarettes and asthma.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science for research results published before august 2020. All data analysis was through R version 3.6.3. Publication bias was assessed using funnel plots, Begg's rank correlation test, and Egger regression asymmetry tests. Most of the included studies were adjusted for potential confounding factors.
Results: This meta found the association of e-cigarette use with asthma, and the combined OR value was 1.27 (95% CI = 1.17-1.37). We found the significant association of current e-cigarette usage with asthma (OR = 1.30, 95% CI = 1.17-1.45), and the former use of e-cigarettes also had an association with asthma (OR = 1.22, 95% CI = 1.08-1.39). Then, when e-cigarettes were used in combination with traditional cigarettes, the association odds with asthma was 1.47 (95% CI = 1.13-1.91), which was higher than that of users who used traditional cigarettes (OR = 1.33, 95% CI = 1.19-1.49). In subgroup analysis, adult and female e-cigarette users were more closely associated with asthma.
Conclusion: In short, in this meta-analysis, we found that current or former use of e-cigarettes are associated with the prevalence of asthma. However, the specific relationship required more rigorous design for further verification.

Abstract Orf is a highly contagious viral disease affecting goats and sheep. It is caused by Orf virus (ORFV) and has caused severe economic losses to the global goat industry, including in China. In this study, an indirect ELISA method for recombinant proteins based on truncated dominant antigenic epitopes of B2L and F1L genes of ORFV was established. A series of conditions and its performance were comprehensively evaluated. The optimized ELISA reaction conditions were: the optimal coating amount of antigen was 0.25 μg/mL, 5% skim milk powder was closed for 1 h, the optimal dilution of serum was 1:200, the optimal incubation time of the rabbit anti-goat IgG was 1:8000, the optimal color development time of TMB was 15 mins, and the threshold value of negative-positive was 0.358. The method specifically detects anti-ORFV antibodies and does not cross-react with positive sera for other common goat pathogenic bacteria antiserum. ORFV-positive sera were still positive after 1:512 dilution, with intra-batch coefficient of variation (CV) between 7.1% and 9.5% and inter-batch CV between 5.0% and 7.6%; 51% (92/180) of immunized goat serum samples were tested positive and 14.44% (14/63) of non-immunized goat serum samples were positive. The results show that the indirect ELISA antibody assay established in this study has good specificity, sensitivity and reproducibility, and provides a technical tool for clinical ORFV serum antibody detection and epidemiological investigation.

Abstract Ethnopharmacological relevance: Dendrobium nobile Lindl. (DNL) is a well-known traditional Chinese medicine that has been recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2020 edition). The previous data showed that Dendrobium nobile Lindl. alkaloids (DNLA) protect against CCl
Aim of the study: The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of necroptosis in the mode of CCl
Materials and methods: DNLA was extracted from DNL, and the content was determined using liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer (LC-MS). In vivo experiments were conducted in C57BL/6J mice. Animals were administrated with DNLA (20 mg/kg/day, ig) for 7 days, and then challenged with CCl
    Results: DNLA lessened CCl
Conclusions: This study demonstrates that DNLA inhibits the necroptosis signaling pathway by reducing mtROS mediated oxidation of RIPK1, thereby reducing the phosphorylation of RIPK1, RIPK3, and MLKL, and protecting against liver injury.

Abstract Portable fiber optical spectrometers (PFOSs) have been widely used in the contemporary industrial and agricultural production and life due its low cost and small volume. PFOSs mainly combine one fiber to guide light and one optical spectrometer to detect spectra. In this work, we demonstrate that PFOSs can work as a broadband full-Stokes polarimeter through slightly bending the fiber several times and establishing the mapping relationship between the Stokes parameters

Abstract In an effort to augment the function of supramolecular biomaterials, recent efforts have explored the creation of hybrid materials that couple supramolecular and covalent components. Here, the benzenetricarboxamide (BTA) supramolecular polymer motif is modified to present a phenylboronic acid (PBA) in order to promote the crosslinking of 1D BTA stacks by PBA-diol dynamic-covalent bonds through the addition of a multi-arm diol-bearing crosslinker. Interestingly, the combination of these two motifs serves to frustrate the resulting assembly process, yielding hydrogels with worse mechanical properties than those prepared without the multi-arm diol crosslinker. Both systems with and without the crosslinker do, however, respond to the presence of a physiological level of glucose with a reduction in their mechanical integrity; repulsive electrostatic interactions in the BTA stacks occur in both cases upon glucose binding, with added competition from glucose with PBA-diol bonds amplifying glucose response in the hybrid material. Accordingly, the present results point to an unexpected outcome of reduced hydrogel mechanics, yet increased glucose response, when two disparate dynamic motifs of BTA supramolecular polymerization and PBA-diol crosslinking are combined, offering a vision for future preparation of glucose-responsive supramolecular biomaterials.
