Abstract The original intention of the government was to provide financial subsidies to firms by implementing innovation support policies. In turn, this will encourage these firms to carry out technological innovation activities. However, there are still differing views in the academic community on whether government subsidies have a stimulating effect or a crowding-out effect on enterprise innovation. The theoretical and empirical research conclusions are uncertain. In this study, samples unlisted companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share markets in China from 2012 to 2020. The entrepreneurial spirit is the entry point to empirically testing the impact of government subsidies on enterprise innovation under financial constraints. The research results show how government subsidies have a significant stimulating impact on enterprise technological innovation activities. More subsidies don't necessarily mean better results because research shows an inverted U-shape. Entrepreneurial spirit plays a significant moderating role in transmitting and optimizing the driving effect of government subsidies. Further heterogeneity analysis shows that government subsidies and entrepreneurial spirit have different driving and moderating effects on the innovation of enterprises with differing natures and scales depending on the region. From a regional perspective, eastern enterprises are better suited in optimizing government subsidies to stimulate enterprise innovation. From the perspective of enterprise nature, private enterprises are more motivated and better able to optimize government subsidies than state-owned enterprises. Regarding enterprise scale, small and medium-sized enterprises can more efficiently optimize government subsidies to stimulate enterprise innovation than large enterprises. The contribution of this paper is to expand the understanding of the impact of government subsidies on enterprise innovation activities.

Abstract Abstract Background This study was designed to perform a comparative analysis between endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) and double contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (DCEUS) for the preoperative diagnosis of gastric stromal tumors (GSTs). Methods A retrospective study was conducted involving 139 patients with histologically confirmed GSTs. All patients preoperatively underwent DCEUS and EUS. The pathology reports were treated as the baseline and were retrospectively compared with the findings of EUS and DCEUS. Results Of the 139 lesions, 120 and 113 were correctly identified by DCEUS and EUS, respectively, with an accuracy of 86.3% and 81.3%. The results revealed an insignificant difference between these two methods (p = 0.189). Conclusions DCEUS can display not only the locations, sizes, shapes, borders, internal echoes, but also show the blood perfusion patterns of GSTs. It is a highly accurate, noninvasive, and convenient method to be used at the pre-treatment stage.

Abstract Deep learning has been widely used in various fields because of its accuracy and efficiency. At present, the improvement of image semantic segmentation accuracy has become the area of most concern. In terms of increasing accuracy, improved semantic segmentation models have attracted more attention. In this paper, a hybrid model is proposed to solve the problems of edge splitting and small objects disappearing from complex scene images. The hybrid model consists of three parts: (1) an improved HED network, (2) an improved PSP-Net, (3) an AFF attention mechanism. Continuous edges can be obtained by combining the improved HED network with an improved PSP-Net. The AFF attention mechanism can improve the segmentation effect of small target objects by enhancing its response recognition ability for specific semantic scenes. The experiments were carried out on Cityspaces, SIFT Flow, NYU-V2 and CamVid datasets, and the experimental results show that the segmentation accuracy of our method is improved by 2% for small target objects, and by 3% for scenes with complex object edges.

Abstract Performance appraisal of well-facilitated farmland projects has positive significance for promoting the development of modern agriculture in rural areas and carrying out rural revitalization. Based on the AHP-object metatopological model, a well-facilitated farmland project performance appraisal system is proposed to analyze the county performance of well-facilitated farmland construction. In this study, Fangcheng County, Henan Province, is selected as the research sample area and evaluated by applying the established index system. The results show that the overall performance grade of the well-facilitated farmland project in Fangcheng County is at an excellent level with both excellent and good rates reaching more than 90%, the output is slightly lower with excellent and good rates reaching 73%, and the benefit is the worst with excellent and good rates at 53%. These indicate that the construction effect of the well-facilitated farmland project in Fangcheng County is at a good level, but the benefits are not as satisfactory as expected. In the overall appraisal, excellent accounts for 48.1%, good accounts for 26.9%, average accounts for 16.3%, and poor accounts for 8.7%. Fangcheng County has achieved a good performance level in the construction of a well-facilitated farmland project in 2019, with almost full completion of project objectives and compliance with implementation standards. This study provides a system of county performance appraisal methods for well-facilitated farmland as well as its practical application in county-level units.

Abstract Technology finance is an important means to support technological innovation, the development level of which is one of the key points of innovation driven strategy in the new era. Based on the correlation-variation coefficient method, we screen the indicators of various provinces in China. An empirical research on technology finance by using the coupling coordinated development evaluation with data of 30 provinces from 2011 to 2020 are carried out. The forecast intervals for next 5 years are predicted with KGM (1, n) grey model. Then we use NSGA-III method to determine the trend of coupling coordinated development of each region in the forecast intervals. The research shows that the indicators of technology finance are industry-oriented, the level of integration of technology and finance across the country is different, to be specific, the East is on the high side, the central part is steady with some opportunities, the West has room for improvement and the Northeast has obvious weaknesses, and the driving force of the coupling coordinated development of technology and finance is limited in sustainability, etc. We propose to strengthen the top-level design and supervision of technology finance, implement accurate measures according to local conditions, and adopt the regional linkage and mutual assistance development mode to help regional efficient and coordinated development.

Abstract Identifying the influential nodes of complex networks is now seen as essential for optimizing the network structure or efficiently disseminating information through networks. Most of the available methods determine the spreading capability of nodes based on their topological locations or the neighbor information, the degree of node is usually used to denote the neighbor information, and the k-shell is used to denote the locations of nodes, However, k-shell does not provide enough information about the topological connections and position information of the nodes. In this work, a new hybrid method is proposed to identify highly influential spreaders by not only considering the topological location of the node but also the neighbor information. The percentage of triangle structures is employed to measure both the connections among the neighbor nodes and the location of nodes, the contact distance is also taken into consideration to distinguish the interaction influence by different step neighbors. The comparison between our proposed method and some well-known centralities indicates that the proposed measure is more highly correlated with the real spreading process, Furthermore, another comprehensive experiment shows that the top nodes removed according to the proposed method are relatively quick to destroy the network than other compared semi-local measures. Our results may provide further insights into identifying influential individuals according to the structure of the networks.

Abstract High fidelity visual analysis usually relies on high-resolution grid data of coupled geometric models generated by large-scale scientific simulation, which brings great challenges to data storage and smooth interaction. Therefore, this paper proposes a super-resolution reconstruction method for large-scale scientific simulated data of mixed surface-volume, which is MSV-Net. The network is an end-to-end deep neural network, which realizes the joint learning of hybrid rendering mapping from low resolution data to high resolution data through multi-layer nonlinear transformation. The network without the fully connected layer, can not only reduce the network parameters, but also improve the flexibility and reusability of the network. In addition, MSV-Dataset, a surface-volume mixed dataset for large-scale electromagnetic simulation application is constructed for model training and verification. This dataset consists of mixed rendered images using nontransparent geometric model rendering coupled with semitransparent volume rendering. The proposed method is compared with a variety of traditional and deep learning methods. The quantitative analysis results show that the MOS absolute evaluation index of this method reaches 4.1, and the reconstruction accuracy is second only to the real image; it takes 66.28 s to directly draw mixed data with 1500×1500 image resolution, but only 4.14 s with the proposed method. The interaction performance is improved about 15 times.

Abstract Environmental regulation will affect social employment through corporate costs, technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and industrial transfer. To verify the effect of environmental regulation on social employment in different periods and under the intensity of environmental regulation, in this paper, environmental regulation is introduced as an influencing factor of social employment levels, based on China’s urban registration unemployment data from 1987 to 2017. A nonlinear smoothing autoregressive model is used to analyze the nonlinear long-term effect relationship between environmental regulation and social employment. The research results show that the relationship between environmental regulation and social employment does exhibit the characteristics of nonlinear transformation under different mechanisms, and the transformation speed is fast. The specific manifestation is that the environmental regulation has a restraining effect on social employment in the short term, and the environmental regulation has a promoting effect on social employment in the long term. Continued high-level environmental regulations will exacerbate the adverse impact of environmental regulations on social employment.

Abstract Different indicators, such as the number of patent applications, the number of grants, and the patent conversion rate, were proposed in this study to analyze the issue of innovation imbalance within and between urban agglomerations from a new perspective. First, a preliminary analysis of the current state of innovation and development of China’s nine urban agglomerations was conducted. Then the Theil index, widely used in equilibrium research, was employed to measure the overall innovation gap of China’s urban agglomerations. The study innovatively used the self-organizing feature map to identify the correlation characteristics of the innovation and development within China’s urban agglomerations and visualize them through Geographic Information Science. The research findings show that the hierarchical differentiation of the innovation and development of China’s urban agglomerations is becoming increasingly clear, and that the imbalance in regional innovation development is pronounced. The imbalance in innovation development within urban agglomerations is more significant than the imbalance in innovation development among urban agglomerations. The analysis indicated that a possible cause is the crowding effect and administrative standard effect of the central city. The key to addressing this problem is promoting innovative and coordinated development between regions.

Abstract Temozolomide (TMZ)-based chemotherapy is a standard strategy for gliomas, although chemoresistance remains a major therapeutic challenge. The chemical mechanism by which TMZ induces cell death is DNA methylation, leading to double-stranded breaks (DSBs) and thus to apoptosis. However, TMZ-induced N6-meG sites are efficiently repaired and mediated by the DNA repair protein O6-methylguanine-DNA methyl-transferase (MGMT), leading to TMZ resistance. KLF15, a member of the Kruppel-like factors family, mainly functions as transcription factor and potential suppressor gene by inhibiting proliferation, migration, and inducing apoptosis. However, the roles and regulatory mechanisms of KLF15 in glioma tumorigenesis and chemoresistance are poorly understood. In this study, KLF15 expression was upregulated in glioma tissues and cell lines upon TMZ treatment. Knockdown of KLF15 amplified TMZ-induced repression of cell proliferation, while KLF15 overexpression reversed this process. Mechanistically, KLF15 functioned as a transcriptional activator of MGMT. Moreover, KLF15 knockdown sensitized tumors to TMZ treatment in vivo. Taken together, these results suggested that KLF15 up-regulated MGMT through direct binding to the promoter of MGMT, which plays an important role in glioma resistance to TMZ, and which may be a potential target for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
