Abstract Complex networks describe a wide range of complex systems in nature and society, and people are increasingly interested in network science. Network resilience is a significant concept for understanding how complex networks respond to change and for revealing their structures and characteristics. Meanwhile, network resilience also leads to different definitions of the concept of resilience and various approaches to measure the concept across multiple application fields. In this review, we summarize the recent developments of network resilience. We first classify complex networks and introduce the definitions of resilience in different research fields. We then review the approaches to evaluating network resilience, including qualitative assessment method and quantitative calculation method, and provide a detailed method framework for the measurement and evaluation of network resilience. Furthermore, we highlight the application in different fields from the perspective of network science, and we discuss the characteristics of resilience and the applicability of evaluation methods for different fields. Finally, we summarize the review and propose potential future research directions.

Abstract AbstractObjectives In vitro fenestration of stent-graft (IVFS) demands high-precision navigation methods to achieve optimal surgical outcomes. This study aims to propose an augmented reality (AR) navigation method for IVFS, which can provide in situ overlay display to locate fenestration positions. Methods We propose an AR navigation method to assist doctors in performing IVFS. A deep learning-based aorta segmentation algorithm is used to achieve automatic and rapid aorta segmentation. The Vuforia-based virtual-real registration and marker recognition algorithm are integrated to ensure accurate in situ AR image. Results The proposed method can provide three-dimensional in situ AR image, and the fiducial registration error after virtual-real registration is 2.070 mm. The aorta segmentation experiment obtains dice similarity coefficient of 91.12% and Hausdorff distance of 2.59, better than conventional algorithms before improvement. Conclusions The proposed method can intuitively and accurately locate fenestration positions, and therefore can assist doctors in performing IVFS.

Abstract Periodontitis is the second most common oral disease affecting tooth-supporting structures. The tissue damage is mainly initiated by the excessive secretion of proinflammatory cytokines by immune cells. Macrophages are a type of antigen-presenting cells that influence the adaptive immunity function. We used a unique set of cytokines, i.e., a combination of IL-4, IL-13, and IL-10, to stimulate macrophages into a subset of M2 polarization cells that express much higher levels of ARG-1, CD206, and PDL-2 genes. The cells’ anti-inflammatory potential was tested with mixed-lymphocyte reaction assay, which showed that this subset of macrophages could increase IL-2 secretion and suppress IL-17, IL-6, and TNF-α secretion by splenocytes. The gram-negative bacterial species Porphyromonas gingivalis was used to initiate an inflammatory process in murine periodontal tissues. In the meantime, cell injection therapy was used to dampen the excessive immune reaction and suppress osteoclast differentiation during periodontitis. Maxilla was collected and analyzed for osteoclast formation. The results indicated that mice in the cell injection group exhibited less osteoclast activity within the periodontal ligament region than in the periodontitis group. Moreover, the injection of M2 macrophages sustained the regulatory population ratio. Therefore, the M2 macrophages induced under the stimulation of IL-4, IL-13, and IL-10 combined had tremendous immune modulation ability. Injecting these cells into local periodontal tissue could effectively alleviate the symptom of periodontitis.

Abstract Post-translational modifications (PTMs) are essential for host antiviral immune response and viral immune evasion. Among a set of novel acylations, lysine propionylation (Kpr) has been detected in both histone and non-histone proteins. However, whether protein propionylation occurs in any viral proteins and whether such modifications regulate viral immune evasion remain elusive. Here, we show that Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV)-encoded viral interferon regulatory factor 1 (vIRF1) can be propionylated in lysine residues, which is required for effective inhibition of IFN-β production and antiviral signaling. Mechanistically, vIRF1 promotes its own propionylation by blocking SIRT6's interaction with ubiquitin-specific peptidase 10 (USP10) leading to its degradation via a ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Furthermore, vIRF1 propionylation is required for its function to block IRF3-CBP/p300 recruitment and repress the STING DNA sensing pathway. A SIRT6-specific activator, UBCS039, rescues propionylated vIRF1-mediated repression of IFN-β signaling. These results reveal a novel mechanism of viral evasion of innate immunity through propionylation of a viral protein. The findings suggest that enzymes involved in viral propionylation could be potential targets for preventing viral infections.

Abstract To grasp the overall disclosure of the quality of enterprise environmental accounting information and find the weakness of disclosure for precise improvements, an approach for the evaluation for the quality of enterprise environmental accounting information disclosure was proposed. First, the evaluation index system of enterprise environmental accounting information disclosure quality was constructed from three aspects: relevance, reliability, and compliance. Relevance measured whether the relevant information was disclosed comprehensively; reliability checked whether the disclosed information was in accordance with the reality; and compliance assessed whether the disclosed information complied with the laws and regulations. Considering that the ratings derived from multiple appraisers with respect to the evaluation index were in linguistic forms, the aggregation method based on triangular fuzzy numbers was constructed. The consistency of ratings was used to calculate the weight of appraisers for the deduction of personal bias and a case study verified the feasibility and practicality of the proposed approach. The approach not only was applied to the assessment of the company, but also provided some suggestions based on the evaluation results.

Abstract Accounting informatization is an important part of enterprise informatization. It affects the accounting and finance operational efficiency. With the comprehensive evaluation of accounting informatization from multiple aspects, we can find the strengths and weaknesses of corporate accounting informatization, which then can be improved precisely. In this paper, an evaluation approach of accounting informatization is proposed. Firstly, the evaluation index system is constructed from the aspects of strategic position, infrastructure construction, implementation of accounting informatization, informatization guarantee, and application efficiency. Considering the complexity and ambiguity of the index, experts are required to give linguistic ratings which are then converted into intuitionistic fuzzy number. Then, an entropy and cross entropy method based on intuitionistic fuzzy sets is proposed to derive the weights of experts so as to reduce the error caused by personal bias. By combining the weights of the index and weighted ratings, the evaluation results are obtained. Finally, a case of accounting information evaluation is given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Abstract Soil contaminated with Cd and Pb has caused sharp decrease of cultivatable soil and has been attracting increasing attention. Biosurfactants are efficient in solving the problem. However, little information is available about the influence of sophorolipids (SLs) on the remediation of Cd- or Pb-contaminated soil. The sophorolipids produced by Starmerella bombicola CGMCC 1576 were used to study the effects of Cd and Pb removal in batch soil washing from artificially contaminated soil. The removal efficiency of crude total SLs was better than both distilled water and synthetic surfactants. Furthermore, 83.6% of Cd and 44.8% of Pb were removed by 8% crude acidic SLs. Acidic SLs with high water solubility were more effective than lactonic SLs in enhancing remediation of heavy metal-contaminated soils. The complexation of Cd with the free carboxyl group of the acidic SLs was observed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy study, and this complexation was effective in heavy metal removal from the soil. The fermentation broth of S. bombicola , without further preparation, removed 95% of Cd and 52% of Pb. These results suggested that SLs produced by S. bombicola could function as potential bioremediation agents for heavy metal-contaminated soil.
