Abstract Background: Promoting the transformation and upgrading of China’s rural consumer market is of strategic significance for maintaining sustainable economic development in the process of urbanization. Research objects and methods: Our objectives were to explore the influencing factors of rural residents’ consumption decision making and to provide reference for formulating relevant policies. This study adopted the questionnaire survey method and collected 300 valid questionnaires. Through statistical analysis of questionnaire data and multiple linear regression analysis, the key factors affecting rural residents’ consumption decision making were determined. Results: Education level, family income, consumption view and sociocultural factors are the main factors affecting the consumption decision of rural residents. In addition, personal cognition and attitude are also important factors affecting rural residents’ consumption decisions. In addition, social influence also has a certain positive impact on consumer decisions. Conclusion: The key factors affecting rural residents’ consumption decision making are external factors, including education level and sociocultural factors, and internal factors, namely family income and family consumption concept. At the same time, personal cognition and attitude also play an important role in consumption decisions. The purpose of this study is to provide objective suggestions for improving and expanding the rural consumption market at the policy level, so as to promote the upgrading of rural consumption in China. The influence of rural residents’ consumption decisions on local economic stability was investigated. The economic stability of farmers’ consumption can be understood by analyzing their consumption tendency and consumption pattern.

Abstract The relationship between stock market performance and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities indicates the extent of acceptance by investors of such activities. Based on a sample of Chinese-listed companies and a quasi-natural experiment, we explore the impact of an important form of market liberalization-the Shanghai-Hong Kong and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect-on the extent of investors' acceptance of CSR using a difference-in-differences approach. The results show that Stock Connect reinforces the favorable correlation between CSR performance and the market response to CSR reports, as well as the positive association between CSR performance and Tobin's Q. This effect is particularly pronounced for nonstate-owned enterprises, firms with lower agency costs, and firms with a lower possibility of using CSR reports for impression management. Thus, market liberalization results in the improved short- and long-term stock market performance of companies with strong CSR records. Further research shows that the benefits of the program are more prominent for companies without Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors (QFII) shareholdings, and the impact of significant foreign ownership through the Stock Connect program on the stock market performance related to CSR engagement is incremental over QFII ownership. The findings support the continuous liberalization of China's capital market.

Abstract A total of 1534 and 308 articles were published in the journal Current Drug Delivery (CDD), from 2004 and 2019 to 2021, respectively. In this commentary, their impacts were analyzed based on search data about citation times in the Web of Science. These publications were categorized from different standpoints and evaluated in terms of their citations, particularly in the year 2021. The thematic, contemporary, and local features of these articles, as well as the article types and publication formats, were interpreted. Results demonstrated that CDD should be loyal to the contents about drug delivery, particularly nano-drug delivery systems and nano-pharmaceutical technologies. Publications from the developing and developed countries and regions showed no remarkable differences; therefore, submissions are similarly welcomed. Research articles and review articles are the main stream of CDD. The ratio of review papers is about 30%, which is reasonable but should not be further extended. Moreover, open publications with an article processing charge always have a high impact than those with subscription.

Abstract Objective: To evaluate the effects of biofeedback intervention on the neurological characteristics of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Methods: 150 children aged 6-12 years with ADHD were divided into two groups according to the treatment method. The atomoxetine group received atomoxetine drug treatment, and the combined treatment group received EEG biofeedback therapy. Continuous performance test (CPT), SNAP-IV and WFIRS-P were used to assess attention and behavior, and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was used to observe changes in brain activity.
Results: The response time, error times, error response rate and attention fluctuation index of CPT in the combined treatment group were significantly lower than those in the atomoxetine group (
Conclusion: Biofeedback intervention can significantly improve the attention and behavior of ADHD children and positively regulate the neural activity in related brain areas on the basis of drug treatment, suggesting that biofeedback therapy can be considered as a potential effective nondrug treatment option for ADHD children.

Abstract Objectives: Streptococcus pneumoniae (SP) is a major cause of community-acquired pneumonia. Ferroptosis pitches in pneumonia. Long noncoding RNA nuclear paraspeckle assembly transcript 1 (lncRNA NEAT1) regulates ferroptosis in various cells. Therefore, this study probed the mechanism of lncRNA NEAT1 on SP-induced ferroptosis in AECs.
Methods: Serum lncRNA NEAT1 level in 36 streptococcus pneumonia patients were retrospectively detected, with its correlations with inflammatory factor (TNF-α/IL-1β/IL-6) levels analyzed. Human pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells (HPAEpiC) were transfected with sh-NEAT1 and induced by SP. Cell viability was evaluated by CCK-8. Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity was assessed. Iron content, and levels of TNF-α/IL-1β/IL-6/IL-10/lncRNA NEAT1/lipid peroxidation products [malondialdehyde (MDA)/glutathione (GSH)/reactive oxygen species/(ROS)]/ferroptosis-related proteins [Cyclooxgenase 2 (COX2)/recombinant solute carrier family 7 member 11 (SLC7A11)/total nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2)/cytoplasmic Nrf2 (C-Nrf2)/nuclear Nrf2 (N-Nrf2)/GPX4)] were determined by kit/ELISA/RT-qPCR/kits/Western blot. Nrf2 nuclear translocation was detected by immunofluorescence assay. On top of lncRNA NEAT1 knockdown, SP-induced HPAEpiC were treated with ML385.
Results: Serum lncRNA NEAT1 level was elevated in streptococcus pneumonia patients, and were positively interrelated with TNF-α/IL-1β/IL-6 levels. SP promoted cell HPAEpiC injury and inflammatory response, and up-regulated lncRNA NEAT1 level. LncRNA NEAT1 knockdown suppressed HPAEpiC injury/inflammatory response (reduced LDH activity and TNF-α/IL-1β/IL-6 levels, elevated IL-10) and suppressed ferroptosis (decreased iron/MDA/ROS contents and COX2 level, increased GSH/SLC7A11), facilitated Nrf2 nuclear translocation, and up-regulated GPX4. Nrf2-GPX4 pathway inhibition annulled NEAT1 knockdown-mediated improvement on SP-induced HPAEpiC ferroptosis/injury/inflammatory response.
Conclusions: LncRNA NEAT1 knockdown suppressed SP-induced HPAEpiC ferroptosis by activating Nrf2-GPX4 pathway, thereby alleviating cell injury and inflammatory response.

Abstract This paper introduced surgical treatment of malignancy-related superior vena cava syndrome. Typical cases were presented with diagnostic radiology results. Authors focused on the main approach to the malignancy-related superior vena cava syndrome of surgery. In order to make it simple for junior doctors to learn and practice, all 4 operation methods were described in details. The writer hopes it would be helpful for all the young thoracic surgeons.
