Abstract Western Marxist scholars take “immaterial labor,” “audience labor” and “prosumer labor” as the core categories to explain the problem of the value creation and profit sources of digital capital in online production and consumption activities in the Web 2.0 era. By analyzing the production process of digital capitalism, they have come to the conclusion that contemporary capitalist production has taken on an overall “novel” character. On the basis of the special cost structure of digital capitalist production, the increasing “fuzziness” of production time and living time, and the disappearance of the boundary between paid labor and unpaid labor under digital capitalism, they draw the conclusion that the law of value has become invalid in the era of “digital production and consumption.” However, once digital labor and its results are placed within Marx’s analytical framework, and are interpreted in terms of such categories as “direct production process of capitalism,” “fixed capital accumulation pattern” and “classification of productive labor and non-productive labor,” it becomes clear that the brilliant achievements of digital capital are best understood as the results of innovative modes of surplus-value possession or distribution, rather than of new methods of surplus-value creation, and that the conclusion that the law of value has failed represents a misreading or misinterpretation of Marx’s labor theory of value. Although the digital capitalist mode of production is serving partially to dissipate the role of the law of value, this law as the general principle regulating global capitalist production remains effective in the contemporary world.

Abstract In this chapter, we review and discuss the transformation of AI technology in HCI/UX work and assess how AI technology will change how we do the work. We first discuss how AI can be used to enhance the result of user research and design evaluation. We then discuss how AI technology can be used to enhance HCI/UX design. Finally, we discuss how AI-enabled capabilities can improve UX when users interact with computing systems, applications, and services.

A "User Experience 3.0" Paradigm Framework in the Intelligence Era

Abstract The field of user experience (UX) based on the design philosophy of "user-centered design" is moving towards the intelligence era. Still, the existing UX paradigm mainly aims at non-intelligent systems and lacks a systematic approach to UX for intelligent systems. Throughout the development of UX, the UX paradigm shows the evolution characteristics of the cross-technology era. At present, the intelligence era has put forward new demands on the UX paradigm. For this reason, this paper proposes a "UX 3.0" paradigm framework and the corresponding UX methodology system in the intelligence era. The "UX 3.0" paradigm framework includes five categories of UX methods: ecological experience, innovation-enabled experience, AI-enabled experience, human-AI interaction-based experience, and human-AI collaboration-based experience methods, each providing corresponding multiple UX paradigmatic orientations. The proposal of the "UX 3.0" paradigm helps improve the existing UX methods and provides methodological support for the research and applications of UX in developing intelligent systems. Finally, this paper looks forward to future research and applications of the "UX 3.0" paradigm.

Abstract Objectives: As the use of iodinated contrast media has become more widely with advances in imaging, several guidelines have suggested that anxiety increases the risk of acute adverse reactions associated with iodinated contrast media. This study aims to evaluate the impact of anxiety on the occurrence of acute adverse reactions (AAR) to iodinated contrast media in patients undergoing contrast-enhanced CT examinations.
Methods: Inpatients who underwent contrast-enhanced CT examinations at the Third Xiangya Hospital between February and October 2021 were prospectively recruited. Prior to the imaging examinations, all patients completed the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale-7 (GAD-7) assessment before the imaging examinations to determine the severity of anxiety, which was categorized as mild, moderate, or severe. Based on the occurrence of AAR, patients were classified into an AAR group and a non-AAR group. The difference in anxiety was compared between the 2 groups. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors associated with AAR. To ensure comparability between the 2 groups, propensity score matching (PSM) was utilized to align the clinical characteristics. Subsequently, the difference in anxiety within the matched groups was analyzed.
Results: The study comprised 880 patients, with 80 patients in the AAR group and 800 patients in the non-AAR group. There was a significant difference in proportion of patients with mild-severe anxiety between the 2 groups (75% in the AAR group and 36% in the non-AAR group,
Conclusions: Anxiety is associated with an increased risk of AAR to iodinated contrast media in patients undergoing contrast-enhanced CT examinations, suggesting the clinical importance of screening for anxiety before imaging examinations.

Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the main cause of cancer-associated death. Herein, we treated SW620 and HT-29 CRC cells with different curcumin concentrations, followed by treatment with the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) curcumin/endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) inhibitor 4-phenyl butyric acid (4-PBA)/activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) interference plasmid (si-ATF6). We detected cell proliferation/apoptosis, ATF6 cellular localization/nuclear translocation, ion concentration, ATF6 protein/apoptotic protein (Bax/Bcl-2/Cleaved Caspase-3) levels, and ERS-related proteins (glucose-regulated protein 78 [Grp78]/C/EBP homologous protein [CHOP]). We discovered inhibited cell proliferation/growth, enhanced cell apoptosis/(Bax/Bcl-2) ratio/Cleaved Caspase-3 levels/Ca

Abstract Traditional sociotechnical systems (STS) theory has been widely used, but there are many new characteristics in the STS environment as we enter the intelligence era, resulting in the limitations of traditional STS. Based on the "user-centered design" philosophy, this paper proposes a new framework of intelligent sociotechnical systems (iSTS) and outlines the new characteristics of iSTS as well as its implications for the development of intelligent systems. Future research of iSTS requires interdisciplinary collaboration, including human factors engineering, this paper finally proposes suggestions from two aspects of human factors engineering methodology and approaches.

Abstract The Trade Gravitation Model was used to empirically analyze the trade flows and directions of kiwifruit in 9 countries for 5 years. The results showed that the economic scale (GDP) and institutional arrangements of trading partners were significant factors. The scientific use of the Trade Gravitation Model can promote the smooth development of export trade.
