Abstract Bupleuri Radix is a famous traditional Chinese medicine (TCM ) and an important raw material in TCM patent prescriptions. It is widely used in several countries, including China, Japan, South Korea, and America. However, the impact of heavy metal transfer rules on TCM s remains unknown. In this study, a total of 45 paired original medicines (OM s), decoction pieces (DP s), and vinegar‐processed (VP s) samples were simultaneously determined via inductively coupled plasma‐mass spectrometry after a microwave digestion. The concentrations of the elements were shown at three levels: (a) Al and Fe at the mg/g level; (b) Pb, Cu, Ba, Mn, Cr, and Ni at the mg/kg level; (c) Co, As, Cd, and Hg at μg/kg level. It is worth noting that the Cu levels were found to exceed the maximum concentration set by Chinese legislation (20.0 mg/kg). In addition, Mn, Ni, and Cu levels were higher in samples from the Gansu province than those from other provinces. The accumulation of the heavy metals decreased in the order of OM s > DP s > VP s; this was especially true for the Al and Fe levels. Furthermore, the results indicate that decocting the samples may reduce the intake of heavy metals. The element transfer ratios for decoctions were under 50% compared to herbal medicines and decreased in the order of Co > As > Mn > Hg > other metals. Our study strongly suggests that long‐term and regular monitoring for heavy metals in the plant is necessary.

Abstract Optical field imaging technology does not require a complicated optical path layout and thus reduces hardware costs. Given that only one single exposure of a single camera can obtain three-dimensional information, this paper proposes an improved calibration method for depth measurement based on the theoretical model of optical field imaging. Specifically, the calibration time can be reduced since the Gaussian fitting can reduce the number of refocused images used to obtain the optimal refocusing coefficient calibration. Moreover, the proposed method achieves the same effect as the multiple refocusing calibration strategy but requires less image processing time during calibration. At the same time, this method's depth resolution is analyzed in detail.

Abstract Acute aortic dissection (AAD) is a severe cardiovascular disease characterized by rapid progress and a high mortality rate. The incidence of acute aortic dissection is approximately 5 to 30 per 1 million people worldwide. In clinical practice, about 35% of AAD patients are complicated with acute lung injury (ALI). AAD complicated with ALI can seriously affect patients' prognosis and even increase mortality. However, the pathogenesis of AAD combined with ALI remains largely unknown. Given the public health burden of AAD combined with ALI, we reviewed the anesthetic management advances and highlighted potential areas for clinical practice.

Abstract Previous researchers mostly carried out simulation research and scattered experimental research on the static and dynamic characteristics of the digital valve, but did not form a systematic and in-depth study on the characteristics of the valve. Based on expounding the basic principles and functions of the valve and the test system, this paper carries out the test research under various variables for three kinds of static characteristics, including pressure differential-flow characteristics, signal-pressure characteristics, and signal-flow characteristics. The optimal control frequency of the valve is obtained from the comprehensive consideration of linear interval, linearity, and hysteresis. Three methods are systematically used to deeply study the dynamic characteristics, and the influencing factors of test results under various test conditions are analyzed. Through the research of this paper, it can provide relevant performance parameters for taking the digital valve as the system control element in the next step, and lay the foundation for the accurate control of the system.

Abstract Tourists are the people who can be seen all over the world. Therefore, this has increased the demand for product supply in tourist locations. Technological development would be the only solution to solve those issues related to the demand and supply of the products. Furthermore, a tourist needs enough information about the country he wishes to travel. Some specific data required include hotels, destinations, malls, and tourist places, and they are needed before they land on the tourist country. The data collection can be achieved by applying trending technologies such as deep learning algorithms and some intelligent systems. Furthermore, the tourist may collect information about the locations through feasible devices such as laptops and mobile phones. Among the varying devices and technologies, the most preferred and convenient device should be carried wherever they travel with ease. For example, cellular phones may be considered the easiest modem to carry and use with this specification. In this perspective, the lightweight deep learning model will make significant technology access to resources. Typically, deep learning models are designed with the prospect of extracting the features, potentially to create easy tool access within the mobile accessing service. Visual Bayesian Personalized Ranking (VBPR) Algorithm using DL is implemented for initiating the recommendation system for tourist attractions in any given location. The proposed model was compared with various existing algorithms, and it was found that the proposed system had delivered 98.56% of accurate recommendations for tourist travelers.

Abstract The illustrations in picture books are lovely and emotional; pictures and text work together to express a theme and weave into one another to create a seamless and comprehensive visual image in picture books. Reading helps children improve for life and is an unending source of wealth in one's life. Picture book reading has a positive effect on children's psychological well-being since it allows them to develop different intelligences and their spiritual worlds in addition to reading stories and learning facts. This thesis investigates, against the backdrop of artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning, the impact of reading activities on children's psychological health. Deep learning and AI are the tools used where students can engage in a more in-depth conversation with the article and comprehend the author's mindset and background after completing the basic reading. This can help students' analytical, thinking, writing, and other application skills, as well as give them the opportunity to learn from and build upon their first reading accumulation. Research has shown that this method produces impressive results, and it is suited for widespread use because its reasonable strength has improved by 17.24% when compared to the conventional method.

Abstract A one-dimensional longitudinal mixing model for an oxidation ditch with a moving symmetrical boundary and a series model for a symmetric aeration mixing unit of an aeration tank were developed in this study to analyze their mixing processes. The analysis of these models showed that the mixing process in the oxidation ditch tended to that of a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) in a mode of circulation flow and dispersion; however, the mixing in the aeration tank tended to that of a CSTR in a mode of dispersion. The tracer output patterns and complete mixing times of the oxidation ditch and aeration tank with treatment capacities of 1000-50,000 m

Abstract COVID-19 is the respiratory illness caused by the beta coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. COVID-19 is complicated by an increased risk for adverse thrombotic events that promote organ failure and death. While the mechanism of action for SARS-CoV-2 is still being understood, how SARS-CoV-2 infection impacts the redox environment in hematologic conditions is unclear. In this review, the redox mechanisms contributing to SARS-CoV-2 infection, coagulopathy and inflammation are briefly discussed. Specifically, sources of oxidant generation by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells are identified with special emphasis on leukocytes, platelets, red cells, and endothelial cells. Furthermore, reactive cysteines in SARS-CoV-2 are also discussed with respect to oxidative cysteine modification and current therapeutic implications. Lastly, sickle cell disease will be discussed as a hematologic disorder with a pre-existing prothrombotic redox condition that complicates treatment strategies for COVID-19. An understanding of the redox mechanism may identify potential targets for COVID-19-mediated thrombosis in hematologic disorders.

Abstract Motivated by recent Physical Review Letters of Wang-Liu and Ledwith-Vishwanath-Khalaf, we study Tarnopolsky-Kruchkov-Vishwanath chiral model of two sheets of $n$-layer Bernal stacked graphene twisted by a small angle using the framework developed by Becker-Embree-Wittsten-Zworski. We show that magic angles of this model are exactly the same as magic angles of chiral twisted bilayer graphene with multiplicity. For small inter-layer tunneling potentials, we compute the band separation at Dirac points as we turning on the tunneling parameter. Flat band eigenfunctions are also constructed using a new theta function argument and this yields a complex line bundle with the Chern number $-n$.
