    Abstract This paper takes the industrial poverty alleviation of local state-owned enterprises in China as the research object, and takes the local state-owned enterprises listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares in China from 2016 to 2020 as the sample to empirically test the impact of industrial poverty alleviation on the sustainable economic growth of the region and consider the regulatory effect of digital innovation. This study found that China’s local industrial poverty reduction behavior in state-owned enterprises can effectively promote regional economic growth. Moreover, the digital innovation produced a regulating effect; that is, if enterprises carry out digital innovation and have a higher degree of digital innovation, their industrial poverty alleviation behavior will have a stronger role in promoting regional economic growth. This conclusion still holds even after controlling for factors of robustness and endogeneity. In addition, the study of influence mechanisms found that the proportion of primary industry in GDP was the mediating effect of industrial poverty alleviation on regional economic growth, and the proportion of primary industry in GDP had a partial mediating effect. Further heterogeneous group testing shows that the impact of industrial poverty alleviation on regional economically sustainable growth is more obvious in agriculture-related, local state-owned enterprises; non-high-tech, local state-owned enterprises; and local state-owned enterprises with subsequent poverty alleviation plans. The empirical evidence in this paper verifies the role of local state-owned enterprises’ participation in industrial poverty alleviation in promoting regional economic growth. It is a useful supplement to the research literature on the economic consequences of Chinese enterprises’ participation in targeted poverty alleviation, which helps to better understand such a phenomenon and also provides a powerful explanation for China’s poverty alleviation achievements.

    Abstract In order to improve the detection accuracy of an algorithm in the complex environment of a coal mine, including low-illumination, motion-blur, occlusions, small-targets, and background-interference conditions; reduce the number of model parameters; improve the detection speed of the algorithm; and make it meet the real-time detection requirements of edge equipment, a real-time obstacle detection method in the driving of driverless rail locomotives based on DeblurGANv2 and improved YOLOv4 is proposed in this study. A blurred image was deblurred using DeblurGANv2. The improved design was based on YOLOv4, and the lightweight feature extraction network MobileNetv2 was used to replace the original CSPDarknet53 network to improve the detection speed of the algorithm. There was a high amount of background interference in the target detection of the coal mine scene. In order to strengthen the attention paid to the target, the SANet attention module was embedded in the Neck network to improve the detection accuracy of the algorithm under low-illumination, target-occlusion, small-target, and other conditions. To further improve the detection accuracy of the algorithm, the K-means++ algorithm was adopted to cluster prior frames, and the focal loss function was introduced to increase the weight loss of small-target samples. The experimental results show that the deblurring of the motion-blurred image can effectively improve the detection accuracy of obstacles and reduce missed detections. Compared with the original YOLOv4 algorithm, the improved YOLOv4 algorithm increases the detection speed by 65.85% to 68 FPS and the detection accuracy by 0.68% to 98.02%.

    Abstract Background: Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations have been identified as promising therapeutic targets for non-small cell lung cancer. Osimertinib, a third-generation EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor-targeting drug, has good anti-tumor ability and excellent intracranial effects. However, management of osimertinib resistance is a clinical challenge. The clinical benefit of osimertinib combined with the antiangiogenic drug, bevacizumab, remains to be determined. Case presentation: A 40-year-old female with right lung adenocarcinoma (cT2aN3M1c, IVb) was confirmed positive for EGFR exon 19 deletion mutation (c.2235_2249del, 1.3%). After receiving 5 months of osimertinib (80 mg, qd) therapy, the patient's disease progressed and she subsequently accepted treatment with osimertinib (80 mg, qd) plus bevacizumab (15 mg/kg, q21d) and achieved notable clinical remission for 23 months until renal impairment occurred, after which bevacizumab was discontinued. The patient had 6 months of remission before progression, after which bevacizumab was added again. To date, the disease has been under control. The brain lesion showed partial response again, and the side effects of bevacizumab were tolerable. The overall survival time exceeded 4 years. Conclusion: This case report describes a treatment strategy for osimertinib-resistant patients with EGFR exon 19 deletion mutations. Metronomic treatment with osimertinib plus bevacizumab was achieved for more than 4 years.

    Abstract Peroxisomes are a class of simple organelles that play an important role in plant reactive oxygen species (ROS) metabolism. Experimental evidence reveals the involvement of ROS in programmed cell death (PCD) in plants. Plant PCD is crucial for the regulation of plant growth, development and environmental stress resistance. However, it is unclear whether the ROS originated from peroxisomes participated in cellular PCD. Enzymes involved in the peroxisomal ROS metabolic pathways are key mediators to figure out the relationship between peroxisome-derived ROS and PCD. Here, we summarize the peroxisomal ROS generation and scavenging pathways and explain how peroxisome-derived ROS participate in PCD based on recent progress in the functional study of enzymes related to peroxisomal ROS generation or scavenging. We aimed to elucidate the role of the peroxisomal ROS regulatory system in cellular PCD to show its potential in terms of accurate PCD regulation, which contribute to environmental stress resistance.

    Abstract Abstract Background Rezivertinib (BPI-7711) is a novel third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). This phase IIa study was part of a phase I/IIa study (NCT03386955), aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rezivertinib as the first-line treatment for patients with locally advanced or metastatic/recurrent EGFR mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods Patients received the first-line treatment of 180 mg rezivertinib orally once daily until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity, or withdrawal of consent. The primary endpoint was the objective response rate (ORR) assessed by blinded independent central review (BICR). Secondary endpoints included disease control rate (DCR), duration of response (DoR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and safety. Results From Jun 12, 2019, to Oct 17, 2019, 43 patients were enrolled. At the data cutoff date on Dec 23, 2021, the ORR by BICR was 83.7% (95% CI: 69.3–93.2%). The median DoR was 19.3 (95% CI: 15.8–25.0) months. The median PFS by BICR was 20.7 (95% CI: 13.8–24.8) months and 22.0 (95% CI: 16.8–26.3) months by investigators. Data on OS was immature. Totally, 40 (93.0%) patients had at least one treatment-related adverse event while 4 (9.3%) of them were grade ≥ 3. Conclusions Rezivertinib (BPI-7711) showed promising efficacy and a favorable safety profile for the treatment among the locally advanced or metastatic/recurrent NSCLC patients with EGFR mutation in the first-line setting.     Abstract Leaf morphogenesis requires precise regulation of gene expression to achieve organ separation and flat-leaf form. The poplar KNOTTED-like homeobox gene PagKNAT2/6b could change plant architecture, especially leaf shape, in response to drought stress. However, its regulatory mechanism in leaf development remains unclear. In this work, gene expression analyses of PagKNAT2/6b suggested that PagKNAT2/6b was highly expressed during leaf development. Moreover, the leaf shape changes along the adaxial-abaxial, medial-lateral, and proximal-distal axes caused by the mis-expression of PagKNAT2/6b demonstrated that its overexpression ( PagKNAT2/6b OE) and SRDX dominant repression ( PagKNAT2/6b SRDX) poplars had an impact on the leaf axial development. The crinkle leaf of PagKNAT2/6b OE was consistent with the differential expression gene PagBOP1/2a ( BLADE-ON-PETIOLE ), which was the critical gene for regulating leaf development. Further study showed that PagBOP1/2a was directly activated by PagKNAT2/6b through a novel cis -acting element “CTCTT”. Together, the PagKNAT2/6b-PagBOP1/2a module regulates poplar leaf morphology by affecting axial development, which provides insights aimed at leaf shape modification for further improving the drought tolerance of woody plants.

    Abstract The genomic and carbohydrate metabolic features of Pseudoalteromonas agarivorans Hao 2018 ( P. agarivorans Hao 2018) were investigated through pan-genomic and transcriptomic analyses, and key enzyme genes that may encode the process involved in its extracellular polysaccharide synthesis were screened. The pan-genome of the P. agarivorans strains consists of a core-genome containing 2331 genes, an accessory-genome containing 956 genes, and a unique-genome containing 1519 genes. Clusters of Orthologous Groups analyses showed that P. agarivorans harbors strain-specifically diverse metabolisms, probably representing high evolutionary genome changes. The Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and reconstructed carbohydrate metabolic pathways displayed that P. agarivorans strains can utilize a variety of carbohydrates, such as d -glucose, d -fructose, and d -lactose. Analyses of differentially expressed genes showed that compared with the stationary phase (24 h), strain P. agarivorans Hao 2018 had upregulated expression of genes related to the synthesis of extracellular polysaccharides in the logarithmic growth phase (2 h), and that the expression of these genes affected extracellular polysaccharide transport, nucleotide sugar synthesis, and glycosyltransferase synthesis. This is the first investigation of the genomic and metabolic features of P. agarivorans through pan-genomic and transcriptomic analyses, and these intriguing discoveries provide the possibility to produce novel marine drug lead compounds with high biological activity.

    Abstract Exopolysaccharides (EPSs) are carbohydrate polymers produced and secreted by microorganisms. In a changing marine environment, EPS secretion can reduce damage from external environmental disturbances to microorganisms. Meanwhile, EPSs have promising application prospects in the fields of food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Changes in external environmental pH have been shown to affect the synthesis of EPSs in microorganisms. In this study, we analyzed the effects of different initial fermentation pHs on the production, monosaccharide composition, and antioxidant activity of the EPSs of Pseudoalteromonas agarivorans Hao 2018. In addition, the transcriptome sequence of P. agarivorans Hao 2018 under different initial fermentation pH levels was determined. GO and KEGG analyses showed that the differentially expressed genes were concentrated in the two-component regulatory system and bacterial chemotaxis pathways. We further identified the expression of key genes involved in EPS synthesis during pH changes. In particular, the expression of genes encoding the glucose/galactose MFS transporter, phosphomannomutase, and mannose-1-phosphate guanylyltransferase was upregulated when the environmental pH increased, thus promoting EPS synthesis. This study not only contributes to elucidating the environmental adaptation mechanisms of P. agarivorans , but also provides important theoretical guidance for the directed development of new products using biologically active polysaccharides.

    Abstract A ruthenium(II) bipyridyl derivative photoelectrochemical probe, Ru-1, is synthesized and coupled with TiO2 nanoparticles (Ru-1/TiO2) for the specific recognition and highly sensitive photoelectrochemical (PEC) detection of Hg2+ in a series of biofluids. The probe is designed with a chromophore, a thiocyanate recognition unit, a π-conjugated photoelectron-transfer pathway, and a phosphonate anchor. TiO2 nanoparticles with strong affinity to phosphonate and suitable conduction band energy are used as intermediate layers to increase the Ru-1 adsorption amount and amplify the photocurrent response. Under irradiation, the Ru-1/TiO2/fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO), with strong visible light-harvesting capacity, aqueous stability, and efficient photoelectron transfer, shows a high and stable photocurrent response. In the presence of Hg2+, however, the specific Hg2+ and NCS coordination changes the photophysical properties of Ru-1, imposing the probe with a wider band gap, a weaker absorbance, and a poorer photoelectron and hole separation efficiency, thus resulting in a significant photocurrent decrease. On the basis of the Hg2+-induced photocurrent change, the Ru-1/TiO2/FTO shows good selectivity and high sensitivity toward the PEC detection of Hg2+, with wide linear ranges from 10–12 to 10–7 and 10–7 to 10–3 g/mL, and a low limit of detection of 0.63 pg/mL. The PEC probe is recyclable and accurate for selective detection of Hg2+ in urine, serum, and cell extracts. The whole analysis can be completed within 15 min. These good analytical performances indicate that the PEC method might have great potential for the onsite detection of small molecules in biosystems.

    Abstract Silver nanoclusters and graphene oxide nanocomposite (AgNCs/GRO) is synthesized and functionalized with detection antibody for highly sensitive electrochemical sensing of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a model tumor marker involved in many cancers. AgNCs with large surface area and abundant amount of low-coordinated sites are synthesized with DNA as template and exhibit high catalytic activity towards the electrochemical reduction of H2O2. GRO is employed to assemble with AgNCs because it has large specific surface area, super electronic conductivity and strong π-π stacking interaction with the hydrophobic bases of DNA, which can further improve the catalytic ability of the AgNCs. Using AgNCs/GRO as signal amplification tag, an enzyme-free electrochemical immunosensing protocol is designed for the highly sensitive detection of CEA on the capture antibody functionalized immunosensing interface. Under optimal conditions, the designed immunosensor exhibits a wide linear range from 0.1 pg mL−1 to 100 ng mL−1 and a low limit of detection of 0.037 pg mL−1. Practical sample analysis reveals the sensor has good accuracy and reproducibility, indicating the great application prospective of the AgNCs/GRO in fabricating highly sensitive immunosensors, which can be extended to the detection of various kinds of low abundance disease related proteins.
