    Abstract Study design: Retrospective study.
Purpose: To introduce a simple technique to facilitate lumbar spondylolisthesis reduction during posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF).
Overview of literature: Spondylolisthesis reduction has been conducted in various ways, but most of them require special complicated tools.
Methods: T-shaped levering tool was newly designed. This study included 23 patients who underwent PLIF for lumbar spondylolisthesis treatment using newly designed T-shaped tools and followed up for >2 years. Demographic, clinical, and surgical data, which had been routinely collected in a database, were analyzed. The degree of listhesis was measured on lateral radiographs by the Taillard method.
Results: The authors could achieve lumbar spondylolisthesis reduction without difficulty using newly designed T-shaped tools. Immediate postoperative lateral radiographs revealed a reduced preoperative slip of 36.9%±9.6% to 1.2%±1.9%, showing a correction rate of 96.7%. The final follow-up radiographs revealed the mean final slip of 2.6%±2.7%, showing a correction rate of 93.0%.
Conclusions: This technique allowed lumbar spondylolisthesis reduction without difficulty.

Abstract A Multi-Agent Cooperative Learning (MACL) system is an artificial intelligence (AI) system where multiple learning agents work together to complete a common task. Recent empirical success of MACL systems in various domains (e.g. traffic control, cloud computing, robotics) has sparked active research into the design and analysis of MACL systems for sequential decision making problems. One important metric of the learning algorithm for decision making problems is its regret, i.e. the difference between the highest achievable reward and the actual reward that the algorithm gains. The design and development of a MACL system with low-regret learning algorithms can create huge economic values. In this thesis, I analyze MACL systems for different sequential decision making problems. Concretely, the Chapter 3 and 4 investigate the cooperative multi-agent multi-armed bandit problems, with full-information or bandit feedback, in which multiple learning agents can exchange their information through a communication network and the agents can only observe the rewards of the actions they choose. Chapter 5 considers the communication-regret trade-off for online convex optimization in the distributed setting. Chapter 6 discusses how to form high-productive teams for agents based on their unknown but fixed types using adaptive incremental matchings. For the above problems, I present the regret lower bounds for feasible learning algorithms and provide the efficient algorithms to achieve this bound. The regret bounds I present in Chapter 3, 4 and 5 quantify how the regret depends on the connectivity of the communication network and the communication delay, thus giving useful guidance on design of the communication protocol in MACL systems

Abstract Aim: To examine night working conditions by shift work type and identify the effects of night working conditions on nurses' perceptions of shift work safety and health effects.
Background: Night work is the main factor affecting nurses' health. However, the safety of night working conditions has not been sufficiently examined in previous studies.
Methods: This study used a cross-sectional research design and an online survey using a tool released by the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union, and the responses of 348 shift work nurses in Korea were analyzed. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine the effects of shift work conditions on the perceived safety of night work and health effects. The STROBE reporting guidelines were utilized, and data were collected from December 1 to December 31, 2021.
Results: The adjusted logistic regression analysis showed that perceived threat to safety and the health effects of shift work were not significant according to shift type. However, night-shift-work nurses who worked alone (P = 0.003), lacked an emergency recovery system (P = 0.026), and had difficulty commuting perceived a threat to their health (P = 0.007). Additionally, nurses who experienced loss of concentration (P = 0.006) and inadequate rest time (P < 0.001) perceived the health effects of shift work.
Discussion: Urgent monitoring of night work conditions is necessary for the 2-shift work type. Nurses must work night shifts together and an emergency system should be established for their safety.
Conclusion: Night work conditions should be improved to prevent the hazards of night work and its negative health effects on nurses.
Implications for nursing and health policy: This study suggests the necessity of a policy to enhance night work safety, including emergency coping systems and sufficient inter-shift rest time.

Abstract With the development of the economy and the improvement of living standards, people's needs have gradually changed, and sports has received increasing attention. At the same time, due to the significant efforts of all countries in sports, sports governance has also attracted considerable attention from scholars. However, the evaluation of global sports governance has rarely been discussed. This paper analyzes the principles for selecting indicators of global sports governance and develops a global sports governance evaluation indicator system consisting of 3 first-level indicators, 6 s-level indicators, and 14 third-level indicators. Additionally, this paper conducted an empirical study of the indicator system using the deep trust network model, and the results showed that the research on the evaluation index system of global sports governance based on the deep trust network model is feasible. Compared with the actual scores, the evaluation gaps for sports facility satisfaction, sports information satisfaction, and sports activity satisfaction were only 0.05, 0.09, and 0.05, respectively. Overall, this method is more accurate in analyzing the evaluation index system of global sports governance and can more directly and objectively reflect the shortcomings of current global sports governance, providing specific analysis of particular problems. The paper suggests that current global sports governance should focus on the coverage of sports facilities, attention to mass sports, satisfaction of sports activities, and promote in-depth development through both hard and soft governance measures.

Abstract Compared to other People of Color in the United States, Asian Americans are often seen as uninterested in activism. Furthermore, the widespread model minority myth (MMM) perpetuates the monolithic image of Asian Americans as successful in society and thus unaffected by racial oppression and uninterested in activism. Despite others' perceptions, Asian American college students have historically engaged in activist efforts and worked to reject the stereotypical views of their racial group as apolitical under the MMM. However, much remains to be learned about the consequences of the MMM on Asian American college students' perceptions and engagement in activism, and how such individuals make sense of the MMM and activism through interacting with their ecological contexts. Thus, the present study addresses this gap in the literature and is guided by the question: How do Asian American college students' perspectives and engagement in activism develop and operate in relation to the MMM? Using a constructivist grounded theory analytic approach, 25 Asian American college students participated in semistructured interviews, and our findings developed a grounded theory of how Asian American college students are embedded within micro- and macrolevel environments (e.g., familial, cultural, and societal contexts) that uphold the MMM and further shape how they make sense of and engage in activism. Results further revealed the consequences of the MMM as a legitimizing ideology on Asian American students' attitudes toward and involvement in challenging and/or reinforcing the status quo. Implications for future research and practice supporting Asian American activism and the broader pursuit for social justice are discussed. Abstract Oropharyngeal carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors of head and neck. In recent years, the incidence of Human papilloma virus-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(HPV-OPSCC) has been increasing year by year. With the advancement of minimally invasive surgical techniques, the wide application of intensity modulated radiation therapy, and the demand of patients for organ function protection and higher quality of life, the unique biological behavior and better prognosis of HPV-OPSCC have led to the exploration of a series of attenuated treatment modes. This article reviews the diagnosis and treatment status of oropharyngeal cancer and related research progress based on relevant reports.

Abstract Objectives: To determine the publication rate of abstracts presented at 10 European College of Veterinary Surgeons conferences from 2006 to 2015, report the key publication milestones, and determine variables associated with full manuscript publication.
    Study design: Literature review.
Sample population: One thousand thirty-eight abstracts.
Methods: All conference abstracts (n = 1038) from the 2006 to 2015 annual ECVS scientific meetings were reviewed, and final publication was determined through a comprehensive bibliographic search. Categories for the level of evidence (LoE), subject, discipline, and institution affiliation were assigned for each abstract. Dates of manuscript submission, acceptance, and publication were recorded.
Results: The overall publication rate for ECVS abstracts from 2006 to 2015 was 32%. Abstracts with levels 4 (60%) and 5 (23%) evidence were presented the most at ECVS conferences and had the highest publication rates at 38% and 36%, respectively. Key publication milestones showed that most abstracts (83%) received publication within the first 36 months with most LoE 2 abstracts (91%) being published within 24 months of presentation. Most published abstracts were affiliated with academic institutions (85%), on dog (29%) and horse (27%) subjects, focused on orthopedic (35%) and soft tissue disciplines (27%), and published in Veterinary Surgery (32%).
Conclusion: The ECVS abstract publication rate was lower, and timeline was longer to publish than other veterinary surgical conferences. Publication occurred most frequently in academic institutions, in select journals, and was limited to orthopedic, soft-tissue, dog, and horse studies.
Clinical significance: Results from this study may help improve the publication fate of abstracts in veterinary surgery. Additionally, caution is warranted when using information from abstracts that have yet to be published to help guide clinical decisions.
