Abstract A fast recognition method for assembly line workpieces based on an improved SSD model is proposed to address the problems of low detection accuracy and lack of real-time performance when existing target detection models face small-scale targets and stacked targets. Based on the SSD network, the optimized Inception_Resnet _V2 structure is used to improve its feature extraction layer and enhance the extraction capability of the network for small-scale targets. The repulsion loss (Reploss) is used to optimize the loss function of the SSD network to solve the problem of stacked workpieces. The issue of difficult detection is improved. The robustness of the algorithm is enhanced. The experimental results show that the improved SSD target detection method improves the detection accuracy by 9.69% over the traditional SSD map. The detection speed meets the real-time requirements, which is a better balance of detection real time and accuracy requirements. The algorithm can recognize small-scale and stacked targets with higher category confidence, better algorithm robustness, and better recognition performance compared to the same type of target detection algorithms.

Abstract ABSTRACT With the rapid development and application of computer technology, the application of computer science knowledge in basketball is also more and more extensive. Based on genetic algorithm and the background subtraction method, video analysis and 3D detection simulation model of shot jump action precision were constructed in this study. According to the genetic algorithm search method, jump shot precision was analyzed, and the problems encountered in the actual shooting process of basketball players were studied and solved. The results show that this study is necessary and feasible.

Abstract Metal nanoparticles are considered as highly promising radiosensitizers in cancer radiotherapy. Understanding their radiosensitization mechanisms is critical for future clinical applications. This review is focused on the initial energy deposition by short-range Auger electrons; when high energy radiation is absorbed by gold nanoparticles (GNPs) located near vital biomolecules; such as DNA. Auger electrons and the subsequent production of secondary low energy electrons (LEEs) are responsible for most the ensuing chemical damage near such molecules. We highlight recent progress on DNA damage induced by the LEEs produced abundantly within about 100 nanometers from irradiated GNPs; and by those emitted by high energy electrons and X-rays incident on metal surfaces under differing atmospheric environments. LEEs strongly react within cells; mainly via bound breaking processes due to transient anion formation and dissociative electron attachment. The enhancement of damages induced in plasmid DNA by LEEs; with or without the binding of chemotherapeutic drugs; are explained by the fundamental mechanisms of LEE interactions with simple molecules and specific sites on nucleotides. We address the major challenge of metal nanoparticle and GNP radiosensitization; i.e., to deliver the maximum local dose of radiation to the most sensitive target of cancer cells (i.e., DNA). To achieve this goal the emitted electrons from the absorbed high energy radiation must be short range, and produce a large local density of LEEs, and the initial radiation must have the highest possible absorption coefficient compared to that of soft tissue (e.g., 20–80 keV X-rays).

Abstract As the global new energy vehicle (NEV) industry rapidly expands, the disposal and recycling of end-of-life (EOL) power batteries have become imperative. Efficient closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) management, supported by well-designed regulations and strategic investments, plays a crucial role in sustainable waste power battery recycling. In this study, an evolutionary game theory (EGT) methodology is used to construct a tripartite game model to investigate the interactions among manufacturers, recyclers, and the government to study the decision-making dynamics of green investments. In addition, numerical simulations are performed to evaluate the sensitivity of the relevant parameters on the stability of the evolution of the system. The results reveal that government green subsidies can stimulate early period investments in advanced recycling technologies. However, as the battery recycling industry matures, a ‘free-rider’ behavior emerges among enterprises, which can be mitigated through the imposition of a carbon tax. Eventually, as the industry reaches maturity, manufacturers and recyclers autonomously invest for enhanced profitability. This research provides valuable insights for government policy formulation, facilitating the formal recycling of retired batteries and fostering sustainability in the NEV sector.

Abstract The high-end equipment manufacturing industry is a strategic sector for China’s manufacturing transformation and upgrading. However, this industry is facing a series of challenges, such as insufficient innovation capabilities and poor business operations. This paper uses the super-efficiency SBM model to calculate the operating efficiency of listed companies in this industry from a micro perspective and conducts in-depth multi-angle analysis of their operating efficiency. Furthermore, Tobit regression is utilized to identify the factors that affect operating efficiency. The aim is to provide a pathway for companies in this industry to achieve efficiency maximization and sustainable development. The research shows that the average operating efficiency of high-end equipment manufacturing companies was around 0.7 from 2016 to 2021, and nearly 70% of companies were in a non-DEA efficient state. The operating efficiency of the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry is far higher than other industries, and the western region has great development potential. In addition to government subsidies, factors such as company age, equity concentration, regional GDP, and regional openness all have a positive impact on the operational efficiency of high-end equipment manufacturing companies. This paper combines the characteristics of the equipment manufacturing industry and analyzes their operating efficiency from multiple dimensions, providing decision support and pathways for the high-quality and efficient development of this industry.

Abstract Lubricants are essential for most tablet formulations as they assist powder flow, prevent adhesion to tableting tools and facilitate tablet ejection. Magnesium stearate (MgSt) is an effective lubricant but may compromise tablet strength and disintegratability. In the design of orodispersible tablets, tablet strength and disintegratability are critical attributes of the dosage form. Hence, this study aimed to conduct an in-depth comparative study of MgSt with alternative lubricants, namely sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), stearic acid (SA) and hydrogenated castor oil (HCO), for their effects on the tableting process as well as tablet properties. Powder blends were prepared with lactose, sodium starch glycolate or crospovidone as the disintegrant, and a lubricant at different concentrations. Angle of repose was determined for the mixtures. Comparative evaluation was carried out based on the ejection force, tensile strength, liquid penetration and disintegratability of the tablets produced. As the lubricant concentration increased, powder flow and tablet ejection improved. The lubrication efficiency generally decreased as follows: MgSt > HCO > SA > SLS. Despite its superior lubrication efficacy, MgSt is the only lubricant of four evaluated that reduced tablet tensile strength. Tablet disintegration time was strongly determined by tensile strength and liquid penetration, which were in turn affected by the lubricant type and concentration. All the above factors should be taken into consideration when deciding the type and concentration of lubricant for an orodispersible tablet formulation.

Abstract Among measures tackling the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the selling of private insurance policies covering individual infection is overlooked by the ethics literature. To record the "COVID Claimania" in Taiwan and to assess its ethical implications, we collected 38 policies from 10 insurers sold between January 2020 and May 2022 and found that their risk calculation of the COVID-19 prevalence ranged from 0.5% to 11.08%. In reality, the prevalence by the end of 2022 was 37% in Taiwan. Selling private insurance policies is ethically problematic in three ways. First, it represents the insurance industry's irresponsible risk-taking profit-seeking behaviors. Second, it would jeopardize the effectiveness of the disease-prevention measures by inducing uncontrollable moral hazards. Third, it would expose the insurance companies to unbearable financial risks and cause substantial negative external impacts. The government should intervene in the private insurance market in preparation for future public health emergencies.
