Abstract While cultural competence has been proposed as an important framework for enhancing health care equity, how members of different racial/ethnic groups consider the importance of cultural competence and their access to culturally competent health care are insufficiently understood. Despite continuously increasing immigrants into the US, it is unclear how immigration status intersects with race/ethnicity to shape individuals' perception of and access to culturally competent care in the US health care system. To fill this research gap, this study examined how the intersection of race/ethnicity and immigration status is associated with people's perception of and access to culturally competent health care and among immigrants, whether their length of stay matters, using data from the 2017 National Health Interview Survey. The results show that while racial and ethnic minority members reported greater importance of culturally competent care than non-Hispanic whites, Asian, black and other-race immigrants reported even greater importance than their US-born counterparts. Additionally, although racial/ethnic minorities reported greater limited access to culturally competent care than their white peers, this gap in access was observed primarily among US-born racial/ethnic minorities. Shorter length of residence (fewer than 15 years) was associated with greater perceived importance than residence of at least 15 years among immigrants, but access to culturally competent care did not differ by length of residence. The findings speak to racial/ethnic minorities' greater desire for culturally competent care and their unmet needs.

Abstract Online social networking (OSN) has deeply penetrated university campuses, influencing multiple aspects of student life. Standing from a pedagogical perspective, this study investigates how university students' OSN engagement affect their learning outcomes. Drawn upon social learning theory, this study proposes that OSN engagement help university students' establishing the self-efficacy belief, achieving social acceptance and acculturation with environment, and these attributions further lead them to attain positive learning outcomes which are shaped by self-esteem development, satisfaction with university life, and the grade point average (GPA) based performance. Results from a survey accompanied by focus group discussions support these embedded self-conceptualization and social learning in OSN. This study contributes to the extant research on OSN for learning by highlighting the role of OSN for the whole person development, especially the students' self-conceptulization and psychological well-beings. The revealed mediating mechanisms also adds values to social learning theory and imply the design foci of e-learning activities and applications.

Abstract The study aims to explore the influence of big data on college students' learning methods of ideological and political education (IPE) under artificial intelligence. First, the characteristics of big data are analyzed. Second, big data is introduced into IPE's classroom teaching, and its influence on students' learning methods is discussed. Finally, the questionnaire is designed to investigate students' learning attitudes and teachers' effectiveness. The results show that the scores of the students are poor, and the traditional teaching method should be updated to improve the teaching quality of IPE. Motivating students' enthusiasm and updating the teaching content are the main tasks to improve students' learning effect on IPE. College students who receive IPE based on big data have better academic performance and a positive learning attitude, and each factor is more significant than 0.05. It is concluded that big data has a considerable impact on IPE. It can promote students' mastery of the knowledge and improve their learning efficiency.

Abstract In order to study the therapeutic effect of respiratory rehabilitation training on patients with pneumonia, this paper proposes an integrated adjuvant therapy program based on the cloud computing model. A total of 60 pneumonia patients admitted to Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University from January to July 2020 were selected as the research objects and Southern Medical University pneumonia patients as the research object, to be evenly divided into two groups, each group of 30 people. The control group was treated with conventional anti-infection treatment, and the observation group was treated with supplementary respiratory rehabilitation training on the basis of conventional treatment. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. The results showed that the absorption time of lung lesions was (9.17 ± 3.46) days in the observation group and (13.97 ± 3.07) days in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (

Abstract Cholesterol is a nutrient commonly found in the human diet. The relationship between dietary cholesterol, its sources, and cardiovascular disease (CVD) is still a topic of debate. This study aimed to investigate the association between dietary cholesterol, its sources, and cardiovascular events in a Chinese population. The present study analyzed data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) cohort between 1991 and 2015. This study analyzed data from 3903 participants who were 40 years of age or older at baseline and had no history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or hypertension. During a median follow-up of 14 years, 503 cardiovascular disease events were identified through follow-up questionnaires administered every 2-3 years. The events included fatal and nonfatal coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure, and other cardiovascular disease deaths. Cox regression was used to estimate risk ratios (HR) for CVD events after adjusting for demographic, socioeconomic, and behavioral factors. It was discovered that sources of dietary cholesterol varied among different subgroups of the population. The top three sources of cholesterol among all participants were eggs, red meat, and seafood, accounting for 57.4%, 28.2%, and 9.0% of total daily cholesterol intake, respectively. The present study found that there was a significant association between total dietary cholesterol intake, and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease (adjusted HR [95% CI]: total cholesterol (highest and lowest quartiles compared) 1.57 [1.17-2.11]). Cholesterol from poultry, seafood, and eggs was also significantly associated with a reduced risk of CVD (adjusted HR [95% CI]: poultry 0.18 [0.04-0.82], seafood 0.11 [0.02-0.54], and eggs 0.16 [0.03-0.73]). After adjusting for daily caloric intake, daily fat intake, and daily saturated fat intake, the previously observed association between red meat cholesterol and cardiovascular events (unadjusted HR [95% CI]: 0.44 [0.35-0.55]) was no longer statistically significant (adjusted HR [95% CI]: 0.21 [0.04-1.01]).
