Abstract The cultivation of innovative talents is closely related to the quality of course teaching, and there is a correlation between facial expressions and the effectiveness of classroom teaching. In this paper, a separate long-term recursive convolutional network (SLRCN) microexpression recognition algorithm is proposed using deep learning technology for building a course teaching effectiveness evaluation model. Firstly, facial image sequences are extracted from microexpression data sets, and the transfer learning method is introduced to extract spatial features of facial expression frames through pretrained convolutional neural network model to reduce the risk of overfitting in network training. The extracted features of video sequences were input into long short-team memory (LSTM) to process temporal features. Experimental results show that SLRCN algorithm has the best performance in training set and test set. It has the best performance in ROC curve. This effectively distinguishes between seven different expressions in the database. The model proposed in this paper can obtain the changes of students’ facial expressions in class and evaluate students’ learning status, thus promoting the improvement of teaching quality. It provides a new method of course teaching quality evaluation.

Abstract Abnormal target detection in hyperspectral remote sensing image is one of the hotspots in image research. The image noise generated in the detection process will lead to the decline of the quality of hyperspectral remote sensing image. In view of this, this paper proposes an abnormal target detection method of hyperspectral remote sensing image based on the convolution neural network. Firstly, the deep residual learning network model has been used to remove the noise in hyperspectral remote sensing image. Secondly, the spatial and spectral features of hyperspectral remote sensing images were used to optimize the clustering dictionary, and then the image segmentation containing target information is completed. Finally, the image was input into the deep convolution neural network with a dual classifier, and the network detects the abnormal target in the image. The test results of this algorithm show that the structural similarity of the denoised image is higher than 0.86, which shows that this method has good noise reduction performance, image details will not damage, segmentation effect is good, and it can obtain high-definition target image information and accurately detect abnormal targets in the image.

Abstract In this study, the predefined time synchronization problem of a class of uncertain chaotic systems with unknown control gain function is considered. Based on the fuzzy logic system and varying-time terminal sliding mode control technology, the predefined time synchronization between the master system and the slave system can be realized by the proposed control method in this study. The simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis.

Abstract Abstract Background Methotrexate is an anticancer drug from the antimetabolite class. It is also used in gynecology and obstetrics for the medical treatment of ectopic pregnancies. Low-dose methotrexate-induced adverse toxic effects are rare. We report a case of toxic effect associated with severe renal insufficiency induced by LD-MTX (Low-Dose Methotrexate) for ectopic pregnancy. Case presentation A 46-year-old Chinese woman was in an operation for an ectopic pregnancy of tubal interstitial pregnancy. The embryo villus was so little that we were not sure if it was evacuated, then it was followed with 50 mg methotrexate injection of intramuscular adjacent the uterine horn in the operation. 48 hour later after injection the patient presented with renal failure. The personalized genetic testing showed that MTHFR (677C > T) and ABCB1 (3435T > C) were detected. Gradually, the symptoms improved after calcium leucovorin (CF) rescue, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), promoting blood system regeneration, and multiple supportive treatments. Conclusions When toxic effects are suspected, detecting the polymorphisms of an MTHFR gene and monitoring MTX concentration in blood could assist us to formulate individualized and active treatments. The management should be multidisciplinary and as much as possible within an intensive care unit.

Abstract Abstract Mammary gland tumors are the most common malignant diseases which seriously threaten the health of women and female dogs. There is a lack of an effective tumor marker which can effectively assist in the early diagnosis, and prognosis of mammary gland tumors in veterinary clinical medicine. IL-6, and IL-8 as immunosuppressive factors may stimulate tumor cells growth, contribute to loco-regional relapse and metastasis that might be utilized as a marker for immunity status and monitoring of the course of tumor. The present study aimed to investigate the expression of serum/tissue IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10 in canine mammary gland tumors using Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), Western blot and Immunohistochemistry assay(IHC) to determine whether it is associated with tumor progression. The results showed that levels of IL-6, IL-8 and IL-10 in serum were higher in malignant tumor group than that in benign tumor and control group; the expression levels of IL-6 and IL-8 were significantly elevated in grade III than in grade I and II and was related to metastasis. Likewise, IL-6 and IL-8 were also highly expressed in malignant tumor tissues. Elevated expression of IL-6 was associated with histopathological grade and metastases in malignant tumors. Moreover, high expression of IL-6 occurred in the Basal-like subtypes whereas high expression of IL-8 occurred in the Luminal B subtypes. The results of this study indicated that changes of IL-6 and IL-8 in the tumor microenvironments were closely related to the diseases status and may be used as a potential diagnostic or biomarker in canine mammary gland tumors.

Abstract Microplastics (MPs) are emerging pollutants and pose a significant threat to marine ecosystems. Although previous studies have documented the mechanisms and toxic effects of aging MPs in various environments, the impact of the marine environment on MPs remains unclear. In the present study, the aging process of polystyrene (PS) in seawater was simulated and the changes in its physicochemical properties were investigated. Our results showed that the surface of the PS eroded in the seawater, which was accompanied by the release of aged MPs with a smaller size. In situ optical photothermal infrared microspectroscopy revealed that the mechanism of PS aging was related to the opening of the carbonyl group and breaking of the bond between carbon and benzene removal. To verify the toxic effects of aged PS, Caenorhabditis elegans was exposed to PS. Aged PS resulted in a greater reduction in locomotion, vitality, and reproduction than virgin PS. Mechanistically, aged PS led to oxidative stress, high glutathione s-transferase activity, and high total glutathione in worms. Together, our findings provided novel information regarding the accelerated aging of PS in seawater and the increased toxicity of aged PS, which could improve our understanding of MPs’ ecotoxicity in the marine environment.

Abstract The present study adopts both empirical and theoretical methods for the analysis of the acquisition of English sentence stress based on Optimality Theory, aiming to overcome mispronunciation of English sentence stress. Optimality Theory has a dramatic impact on most areas in linguistics besides phonology. The acoustic software Praat is chosen to collect and label data as the basis of the empirical method. Then, through analyzing the four major principles of distribution of sentence stress (content words stressed principle, rightmost words stressed principle, leftmost words stressed principle, and new information priority principle) and based on the analysis of Optimality Theory, the software Praat, and SPSS, the researcher can present the following findings: firstly, the constraint hierarchical ranking of nonnative speakers is DEP-IO >> NEW-IP >> ALIGN-IP-LEFT >> ALIGN-IP-RIGHT. Secondly, the native speakers also undergo the demotion of constraint hierarchical ranking: NEW-IP >> DEP-IO >> ALIGN-IP-RIGHT >> ALIGN-IP-LEFT. Thirdly, the constraint in each demotion of constraint hierarchical ranking during different stages is as follows: NEW-IP constraint moves from the undominated position to the dominated position in the hierarchy; ALIGN-IP-RIGHT and ALIGN-IP-LEFT constraints move from the dominated position to the lower position in the hierarchy. Through the specific analysis, the researcher draws a conclusion that the varied reasons affect the nonnative speakers to master the distribution of sentence stress due to their incorrect position in the demotion of constraint hierarchical ranking.

Abstract In tumor treatment, the highly disordered vascular system and lack of accumulation of chemotherapeutic drugs in tumors severely limit the therapeutic role of nanocarriers. Smaller drug-containing nanoparticles (NPs) can better penetrate the tumor but are easily removed, which severely limits the tumor-killing properties of the drug. The chemotherapeutic medication doxorubicin (DOX) is highly toxic to the heart, but this toxicity can be effectively mitigated and the combined anticancer effect can be enhanced by clinically incorporating curcumin (CUR) as part of the dual therapy. We designed a small-molecule peptide, Pep1, containing a targeting peptide (CREKA) and a pH-responsive moiety. These NPs can target the blood vessels in tumor microthrombi and undergo a morphological shift in the tumor microenvironment. This process enhances the penetration and accumulation of drugs, ultimately improving the effectiveness of cancer treatment. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that this morphological transformation allowed rapid and effective drug release into tumors, the effective inhibition of tumor angiogenesis, and the promotion of tumor cell apoptosis, thus effectively killing tumor cells. Our findings provide a novel and simple approach to nhibit the growth and metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Abstract The North China plain (NCP) is an important production base for winter wheat and summer maize in China. Severe droughts seriously restrict agricultural production in this region, threatening food security. Based on the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI), this study explored the spatial and temporal drought characteristics during the winter wheat and summer maize growing seasons in the region. The study found that: 1) From 1980 to 2013, the drought trend of the winter wheat growing season in the NCP has intensified, with Huang-Huai Plain agricultural area (HH_P) showing the most significant drought trend. However, the summer maize growing season has become wetter, with the Shandong hilly agricultural and forestry area (SD_Q) showing the most significant wetting trend. 2) After the year 2003, the results from Mann-Kendall trend analysis revealed that the drought trend of HH_P during the winter wheat growing season became particularly pronounced, but the wetting trend of SD_Q and HH_P during the summer maize growing season became more evident. 3) The dominant spatial patterns observed in the NCP during the growing seasons of winter wheat and summer maize were marked by a consistent distribution of drought and wetness conditions. For winter wheat, the southern regions of the foothill plain area of Yanshan and Taihang Mountains (YT_P) and the low-lying plain area of Hebei, Shandong, and Henan (JLY_P) were more sensitive to the changes of drought and wet conditions. For summer maize, SD_Q was more sensitive to the changes of the drought and wet conditions. The results of this study could provide references for the formulation of drought relief strategies of winter wheat and summer maize in the NCP.
