Abstract In recent years, the frequent occurrence of air pollution incidents has seriously affected people's health and life. Therefore, PM[Formula: see text], as the main pollutant, is an important research object of air pollution at present. Effectively improving the prediction accuracy of PM[Formula: see text] volatility makes the PM[Formula: see text] prediction content perfect, which is an important aspect of PM[Formula: see text] concentration research. The volatility series has an inherent complex function law, which drives the volatility movement. When machine learning algorithms such as LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory Network) and SVM (Support Vector Machine) are used for volatility analysis, a high-order nonlinear form is used to fit the functional law of the volatility series, but the time-frequency information of the volatility has not been utilized. Based on EMD (Empirical Mode Decomposition) technique, GARCH (Generalized AutoRegressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity) model and machine learning algorithms, a new hybrid PM[Formula: see text] volatility prediction model is proposed in this study. This model realizes time-frequency characteristic extraction of volatility series through EMD technology, and integrates residual and historical volatility information through GARCH model. The simulation results of the proposed model are verified by comparing the samples of 54 cities in North China with the benchmark models. The experimental results in Beijing showed that MAE (mean absolute deviation) of hybrid-LSTM decreased from 0.00875 to 0.00718 compared with LSTM, and hybrid-SVM based on the basic model SVM also significantly improved generalization ability, and its IA (index of agreement) improved from 0.846707 to 0.96595, showing the best performance. The experimental results show that the hybrid model is superior to other considered models in terms of prediction accuracy and stability, which verifies that the hybrid system modeling method is suitable for PM[Formula: see text] volatility analysis.

Abstract Herein, we report a general and practical nickel-catalyzed deaminative alkylation of Katritzky salts with cyclopropyl alcohols via merging C-N and C-C bond activation. This protocol enables the formation of an alkyl-alkyl bond along with the generation of a versatile ketone functional group in a single operation, thus providing a convenient approach for accessing β-alkyl ketones. This reaction is distinguished by its high functional group tolerance, broad substrate scope, and efficient late-stage derivatization of complex bioactive molecules.

Abstract Cycloheptenones are widespread in natural products and bioactive molecules. An efficient and convenient NaH-mediated Cope Rearrangement of doubly activated vinylcyclopropanes is reported for the synthesis of cyclohepten-4-ones. These flexible intramolecular reactions were applicable to a wide range of substrates and could be performed on gram scale. The derivatization of the product leads to short and highly efficient synthesis of some useful functional molecules.

Abstract Background: Intracranial cavernous hemangiomas (CHs) usually originate from the cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres, while the clinical features and optimum treatment of CHs that originate from atypical locations remain unclear.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of CHs that originated from the sellar, suprasellar, or parasellar region, the ventricular system, the cerebral falx, or the meninges in patients who underwent surgery from 2009 to 2019 in our department.
Results: In our study, fourteen patients with pathologically confirmed CHs in uncommon locations (UCHs) were enrolled; 5 were located at the sellar or parasellar region, 3 at the suprasellar region, 3 at the ventricular system, 2 at the cerebral falx, and 1 originated from parietal meninges. The most common symptoms were headache and dizziness (10/14); however, none presented with seizures. All UCHs located in the ventricular systems and 2 of the 3 UCHs located in the suprasellar region manifested as hemorrhagic lesions and shared similar radiological features compared with axial CHs; other locations of UCHs did not have a "popcorn" appearance on T2-weighted image. Nine patients achieved GTR, 2 achieved STR, and 3 achieved PR. Four out of five patients who received incomplete resection underwent adjuvant gamma-knife radiosurgery. During the average follow-up of 71.1 ± 43.3 months, no patient died and one patient encountered recurrence and
Conclusion: We suggest that surgery is the optimum therapeutic method for UCHs located at the ventricular system, dura mater, and cerebral falx. Stereotactic radiosurgery plays an important role in the treatment of UCHs located at the sellar or parasellar region and remnant UCHs. Favorable outcomes and lesion control could be achieved by surgery.

Abstract Background: Currently, arterial spin labeling (ASL) and amide proton transfer (APT) imaging have shown potential for distinguishing glioblastoma from brain metastases. Thus, a meta-analysis was conducted to investigate this further.
Methods: An extensive and comprehensive search was conducted in 6 English and Chinese databases according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, encompassing data up to July 2023. Data from eligible literature were extracted, and bivariate models were employed to calculate pooled sensitivities, specificity, positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR), diagnostic odds ratio (DOR), and area under the curve (AUC) of the summary receiver operating characteristic curve.
Results: The meta-analysis included 11 articles. For ASL, the pooled sensitivity was 0.77 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.63-0.87), and the pooled specificity was 0.87 (95% CI, 0.77-0.93). The pooled PLR was 5.89 (95% CI, 2.97-11.69), the pooled NLR was 0.26 (95% CI, 0.15-0.47), the pooled DOR was 22.33 (95% CI, 6.89-72.34), and AUC was 0.90 (95% CI, 0.87-0.92). For APT imaging, the pooled sensitivity was 0.78 (95% CI, 0.70-0.85), and the pooled specificity was 0.86 (95% CI, 0.77-0.92). The pooled PLR was 5.51 (95% CI, 3.24-9.37), the pooled NLR was 0.25 (95% CI, 0.17-0.37), the pooled DOR was 21.99 (95% CI, 10.28-47.03), and the AUC was 0.90 (95% CI, 0.87-0.92).
Conclusions: This meta-analysis suggest that both ASL and APT imaging exhibit high accuracy in distinguishing between glioblastoma and brain metastasis.

Abstract Background: Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) and high-grade glioma (HGG) appear similar under imaging. However, since the two tumors vary in their treatment methods, their differential diagnosis is crucial. The use of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography computed tomography (18F-FDG-PET/CT) imaging to effectively distinguish between the two tumors is not clear; therefore, a meta-analysis was carried out to determine its effectiveness.
Materials and methods: The databases PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang, China Science, and Technology Journal Database (CQVIP) were exhaustively searched using stringent inclusion and exclusion criteria to select high-quality literature. The Quality Assessment Tool for Diagnostic Accuracy Studies (QUADAS-2) was used for the qualitative assessment of the included literature. The bivariate effect model was used to combine statistics such as sensitivity (SEN) and specificity (SPE), positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR), and diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) [95% confidence intervals (CI)], plot summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve, and calculate the area under the curve (AUC) value. Sensitivity analysis was used to evaluate the stability of the results, and Deek's test was used to assess publication bias. Meta-regression and subgroup analysis was used to determine the sources of heterogeneity.
Results: A total of nine studies were included in this study. For differential diagnosis of PCNSL and HGG, the combined SEN was 0.91 (95% CI: 0.80-0.96; I
Conclusion: The 18F-FDG-PET/CT imaging technique has a high diagnostic accuracy in the differential diagnosis of PNCSL and HGG. Patients suspected to have the above two tumors are suggested to be examined by 18F-FDG-PET / CT to help in the clinical distinction and further treatment modalities.
