Abstract Web services have the advantage of being able to generate new value-added services based on existing services. To effectively compose Web services, the composition process necessitates that the services that will participate in a given composite service are more trustworthy than those that provide similar functionality. The trust mechanism appears to be a promising way for determining service selection and composition. Existing trust evaluation approaches do not take into account customer expectations. Based on fuzzy set theory and probability theory, this work proposes a unique Web service trust evaluation approach that is notable for its ability to provide personalized service selection based on customer expectations and preferences. The proposed approach defines trust as a fuzzy notion that is related to prior experiences and ratings, and expresses trust in two different forms. This work mainly solves two key issues in Web service trust architectures, bootstrapping trust for the newcomer services and deriving trust for composite services. The proposed approach combines the solutions to numerous issues in a natural way. The case study and approaches comparison demonstrate that the proposed approach is feasible.

Abstract MicroRNA (miRNA) plays physiologically and pathologically important roles in post-transcriptional regulation. Although miRNA has been suggested to dynamically interact with cellular organelles, the dynamicity of intracellular miRNA behavior has remained unclear. Here, by introducing fluorescently labeled pre-miRNA into living cells, we improved the miRNA visualization method using exogenous miRNA precursors. Through the combination of our miRNA visualization method and single-molecule sensitive fluorescence microscopy, we quantitatively analyzed the process of miRNA maturation. Furthermore, single-particle tracking of fluorescent miRNA in cells revealed the directed movements of miRNA on cytoskeletal components (i.e., microtubules and actin filaments). Our results also suggest that cytoskeleton-dependent miRNA trafficking is associated with the interaction of miRNAs with the nucleus and the endoplasmic reticulum/Golgi apparatus. Our method should facilitate the elucidation of the mechanism and physiological significance of the subcellular localization and organelle interaction of miRNA.

Abstract A digital pre-distortion (DPD) scheme based on an adaptive-memory-length look-up table (AML-LUT) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated in a four-level pulse amplitude modulation (4-PAM) underwater optical wireless communication (UOWC) system. By implementing adaptive memory length for each pattern in the AML-LUT-based DPD, the size of the AML-LUT can be significantly reduced without sacrificing performance compared to both the full-size LUT and the multi-symbol simplified look-up table (MSS-LUT)-based DPDs. The performance of the proposed AML-LUT-based DPD is experimentally evaluated for a 625 Mbit/s 4-PAM UOWC over 1 m transmission length. Experimental results show that compared with the full-size LUT with a memory length of 7 (LUT-7)-based DPD, the proposed AML-LUT-based DPD (i) incurs a marginal power penalty of 0.5 dB at both the 7% hard-decision forward error correction (HD-FEC) and KP4-FEC threshold limits, while simultaneously reducing the implementation complexity (i.e., the LUT size) by 93%; (ii) achieves comparable transmission performance compared to the MSS-LUT-based DPD, while reducing the implementation complexity by 89%; and (iii) shows great potential for high-speed, low-complexity and memory-efficient intensity modulation and direct detection (IM/DD) UOWC and short-reach optical interconnects.

Abstract Aiming at the current SPI (solder paste inspection) system for printing solder paste similar defects detection accuracy is not high, the system intelligence degree is low and so on, design a for the solder paste similar defects and combined with phase modulation profile measurement technique and improve the YOLOX intelligent detection system. The core of the system is the improved YOLOX depth model based on s-mosica and kt-iou algorithms proposed in this paper. The experimental results show that the proposed s-mosica and kt-iou algorithms can effectively improve the detection accuracy of printed solder paste, and when combined with the YOLOX model, the best 90.33% detection accuracy is obtained, which is better than the detection performance of the existing algorithms in the same scenario, and it provides an effective and feasible reference program for the design of the SPI high-precision intelligent detection system.

Abstract Network security situation awareness (NSSA) is an integral part of cybersecurity defense, and it is essential for cybersecurity managers to respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Different from traditional security measures, NSSA can identify the behavior of various activities in the network and conduct intent understanding and impact assessment from a macro perspective so as to provide reasonable decision support, predicting the development trend of network security. It is a means to analyze the network security quantitatively. Although NSSA has received extensive attention and exploration, there is a lack of comprehensive reviews of the related technologies. This paper presents a state-of-the-art study on NSSA that can help bridge the current research status and future large-scale application. First, the paper provides a concise introduction to NSSA, highlighting its development process. Then, the paper focuses on the research progress of key technologies in recent years. We further discuss the classic use cases of NSSA. Finally, the survey details various challenges and potential research directions related to NSSA.

Abstract Objective: To compare the neonatal outcomes of progestin-primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS) and flexible gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocols.
Methods: This was a retrospective propensity score-matched (PSM) cohort study. Women who underwent their first frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycle with freezing of all embryos followed by PPOS or GnRH antagonist protocols between January 2016 and January 2022 were included. Patients using PPOS were matched with the patients using GnRH antagonist at a 1:1 ratio. The main focus of this study was the neonatal outcomes of singleton live births, including preterm birth (PTB), low birth weight (LBW), small for gestational age (SGA), macrosomia and large for gestational age (LGA).
Results: After 1:1 PSM, a total of 457 PPOS and 457 GnRH antagonist protocols were included for analysis. The average starting dose of gonadotropin (275.1 ± 68.1 vs. 249.3 ± 71.3, P<0.01) and total dose of gonadotropin (2799.6 ± 579.9 vs. 2634.4 ± 729.1, P<0.01) were significantly higher in the PPOS protocol than in the GnRH antagonist protocol. The other baseline and cycle characteristics were comparable between the two protocols. The rates of PTB (P=0.14), LBW (P=0.11), SGA (P=0.31), macrosomia (P=0.11) and LGA (P=0.49) did not differ significantly between the two groups. A total of 4 patients in the PPOS group and 3 patients in the GnRH antagonist group qualified as having congenital malformations.
Conclusion: PPOS resulted in singleton neonatal outcomes similar to those of a GnRH antagonist protocol. The application of the PPOS protocol is a safe option for infertility patients.

Abstract Background: Prior studies on migrant workers have explored the effect of their subjective social status and job satisfaction on their mental health, respectively or combined, as well as how their subjective social status affects their job satisfaction. Nonetheless, few have accounted straightforwardly and holistically for the mechanism of interaction between subjective social status, job satisfaction and mental health amongst migrant workers.
Aims: Taking migrant workers in China as the object of study, we intended to probe the longitudinal links between their subjective social status, job satisfaction and mental health, in particular, their job satisfaction as a longitudinal mediator therein.
Method: Using the three-wave data from the 2014, 2016 and 2018 China Labour-force Dynamics Survey, we defined migrant workers as labourers aged 15 to 64 with agricultural
Results: The LGMs based on bootstrapping showed that amongst migrant workers the subjective social status, job satisfaction and mental health tended overall to grow linearly and that the job satisfaction longitudinally mediated between the subjective social status and mental health.
Conclusions: The findings may enlighten policymaking to elevate migrant workers mentally and inform future studies on theoretical and practical fronts.
