Abstract Loess, a terrestrial clastic sediment, is formed essentially by the accumulation of wind-blown dust, while stone waste (SW) is an industrial waste produced during stone machining. Utilising loess and SW to prepare environmentally-friendly supplementary cementitious materials can not only address environmental issues caused by solid waste landfills but also meet the demand of reinforcement of coal-seam floor aquifer for grouting materials. In this paper, the effects of the loess/SW mass ratio and calcination temperature on the transformation of calcined products are investigated and their pozzolanic activities are evaluated. The workability, environmental impact and cost of grouting materials based on cement and calcined products are also assessed. Experimental results reveal that higher temperatures favour the formation of free lime and periclase, which tend to be involved in solid-state reactions. Higher temperature and loess/SW mass ratio strengthens the diffraction peaks of dodecalcium hepta-aluminate (C

Abstract This study reports the development of an effective high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) method for the quantification of two analogs of rosmarinic acid (RA) in rat plasma, namely methyl (E)-2-(3-(3,4-difluorophenyl)acrylamido)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propanoate (A11) and methyl (E)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2-(3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)acrylamido)propanoate (A2). These analogs, featuring N atoms instead of O atoms, exhibit enhanced bioavailability and distinct pharmacological activities compared with RA. The HPLC separation was carried out on a C18 column (1.9 μm, 2.1 mm × 100 mm) coupled with a security guard C18 column (5 μm, 2.1 mm × 10 mm). A triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer equipped with an electrospray ionization ion source was utilized for ion generation. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride was utilized as a standard, and a single-step protein precipitation method using isopropanol:ethyl acetate (v/v, 20:80) was employed for sample pretreatment. The developed method demonstrated excellent linearity over the concentration range of 5-750 ng/ml for both A11 and A2, with relative standard deviations of <15% and relative errors within 15% during daily course analysis. The method allowed for the unambiguous quantification and identification of A11 and A2 in vivo. The results of this study provide a meaningful foundation for evaluating the clinical applications of these analogs.

Abstract Existing studies have emphasized the crucial role of intellectual property services (IPS) in the advancement of science and technology, but there was still a lack of a valid scale for assessing IPS. Accordingly, this study aimed to develop a reliable instrument to fill this gap. A three-step process of scale development was described: item generation through grounded theory research (n = 14), scale development through exploratory factor analysis (n = 219) and scale assessment through confirmatory factor analysis (n = 191). By analyzing and coding the interview data drawn from IPS agencies in China, the study verified that IPS could be represented as a three-dimensional construct consisting of vocational skills services (VSS), commercial operation services (COS), and value-added business services (VBS). The subsequent exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted to test and modify the IPS scale with 11 items was shown to have acceptable internal consistency reliability, as well as convergent and discriminant validity. The IPS scale could serve as an operational tool for IPS practitioners to measure and identify the problems of service quality and service mode. Additionally, it held significant theoretical value and practical implications for the advancement of intellectual property services industry in China.

Abstract Breast cancer (BC) is by far the most prevalent malignancy found in the female population. Atypical chemokine receptors (ACKRs) are a subclass of G-protein-coupled receptors, which are characterized by disrupted ligand binding and a breakdown of signaling following ligand binding. The evolution and function of multiple ACKRs in BC have yet to be fully elucidated, although certain findings on this family have been reported in several studies in

Abstract High-performance nanomaterials have been seen as a new generation of electrochemiluminescence (ECL) probes or emitters for their finely tunable structure and concomitant remarkable properties, guaranteeing the prospective applications in the analysis and diagnosis devices with superior performances. The structure-activity relationships of ECL nanoprobes in nanoscale are presenting milestone in understanding of the ECL microscopic behaviors and mechanisms, and guide the exploitation of novel ECL probes. In this mini-review, we summarized the recent development of novel ECL probes based on the nanomaterials. The mechanism and relationships between their structure as well as the active sites and functionality were revealed. In addition, the design and regulation of the ECL nanoprobes were emphasized for the biosensing and imaging application. Finally, the potential prospect of the ECL nanoprobes, design, and their applications were discussed.

Abstract Objective: To describe the use of and adherence to 17-alpha hydroxyprogesterone caproate (17-OHPC), explore factors associated with its utilization and adherence, and to investigate the outcomes of 17-OHPC in a real-world setting.
Methods: The Decision Resources Group (DRG) database (1 January 2012-31 December 2017) was used to identify women with diagnosis of "history of preterm labor", aged 16-50 years old, had a singleton gestation, were continuously enrolled for at least 6 months and 9 months before and after the index date, respectively, and had a delivery outcome recorded. Adequate adherence was defined and compared using two approaches: (1) patients receiving at least 10 injections of 17-OHPC; (2) number of received injections/eligible number of injections ≥0.7. The outcome of 17-OHPC was evaluated by the incidence rate of preterm birth (PTB). Bivariate tests compared patients' characteristics with their use of and adherence to 17-OHPC, and examined the associations between 17-OHPC utilization and incidence of diabetes or hypertension. Stepwise logistic regression was conducted to assess the effect of adherence on the delivery outcome.
Results: Of 28,339 patients meeting study criteria, 2585 (9.1%) had ≥1 claim for 17-OHPC. An increasing trend of utilization was observed from 2012 to 2017 (7.6-13.1%). The utilization rate was highest in the Southwest US (13.8%) (
Conclusions: 17-OHPC utilization and adherence rates remain low. Insurance type and geographic region were associated with both utilization and adherence. There was no association between 17-OHPC adherence and effectiveness. More evidence is needed to determine if the use of 17-OHPC is advantageous in a sub-group of patients.
