    Abstract Research on online pornography abstinence movements has predominantly focused on men's perspectives, often within the context of the broader manosphere. This focus has overshadowed the unique experiences and viewpoints of women in these movements. Our study aimed to fill this gap by exploring women-centric perspectives in pornography abstinence forums, particularly Porn Free Women (r/pornfreewomen). Using a mixed methods approach, this study examined the sexual scripts presented in women-dominated pornography abstinence communities. Our structural topic modeling analysis delineated the interplay of therapeutic, heteronormative, and empowerment themes that were evident in women's narratives and expressions. Further, our discourse analysis elucidated three specific scripts: the addiction script, the heterosexual script, and the liberation script. These interweaving narratives show that discussions of women's pornography abstinence are multifaceted and include a variety of perspectives to negotiate. These results contribute to a nuanced understanding of the values of health and well-being, sexual liberation, and feminism within women's pornography abstinence communities.

    Abstract Rationale: Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) epitomizes an acute peripheral neuropathy hallmarked by an autoimmune retort directed at the myelin sheath enwrapping peripheral nerves. While it is widely acknowledged that a majority of GBS patients boast a history of antecedent infections, the documentation of postoperative GBS occurrences is progressively mounting. Drawing upon an exhaustive compendium of recent case reports, the disease's inception spans a gamut from within 1 hour to 1.2 years.
    Patient concerns: At this juncture, we proffer a singular case: an instance involving a 51-year-old gentleman who underwent lumbar spine surgery, only to encounter immediate debilitation of limb and respiratory musculature.
    Diagnoses: Post elimination of variables linked to anesthetic agents, encephalon, and spinal cord pathologies, a potent suspicion of superacute GBS onset emerged.
    Interventions: Subsequent to immunoglobulin therapy, plasmapheresis, and adjunctive support, the patient's ultimate demise became manifest.
    Outcomes: No progress was found to date.
    Lessons: Given GBS's potential to instigate paralysis, respiratory collapse, and autonomic nervous system aberrations, alongside other pernicious sequelae, coupled with the exceptional rarity of the temporal onset in this particular instance, it undeniably proffers an imposing conundrum for anesthetists in the realm of differential diagnosis and therapeutic conduct. During the postoperative convalescence phase under anesthesia, should the patient evince deviant limb musculature vigor and compromised respiratory sinews, the prospect of GBS must not be consigned to oblivion. Precision in diagnosis conjoined with apt therapeutic measures could well be the harbinger of a divergent denouement for the afflicted patient.

    Abstract Elite controllers among HIV-1-infected individuals have demonstrated a stronger ability to control the viral load in their bodies. Scientists have isolated antibodies with strong neutralizing ability from these individuals, which can neutralize HIV-1 variations; these are known as broadly neutralizing antibodies. The nucleic acid of some viruses will constantly mutate during replication (such as SARS-CoV-2), which will reduce the protective ability of the corresponding vaccines. The immune escape caused by this mutation is the most severe challenge faced by humans in the battle against the virus. Therefore, developing broad-spectrum vaccines that can induce broadly neutralizing antibodies against various viruses and their mutated strains is the best way to combat virus mutations. Exploring the mechanism by which the human immune system produces broadly neutralizing antibodies and its induction strategies is crucial in the design process of broad-spectrum vaccines.

    Abstract Background: Sleep disturbance occur among nurses at a high incidence.
    Aim: To develop a Nomogram and a Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model to predict sleep disturbance in clinical nurses.
    Methods: A total of 434 clinical nurses participated in the questionnaire, a cross-sectional study conducted from August 2021 to June 2022.They were randomly distributed in a 7:3 ratio between training and validation cohorts.Nomogram and ANN model were developed using predictors of sleep disturbance identified by univariate and multivariate analyses in the training cohort; The 1000 bootstrap resampling and receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) were used to evaluate the predictive accuracy in the training and validation cohorts.
    Results: Sleep disturbance was found in 180 of 304 nurses(59.2%) in the training cohort and 80 of 130 nurses (61.5%) in the validation cohort.Age, chronic diseases, anxiety, depression, burnout, and fatigue were identified as risk factors for sleep disturbance. The calibration curves of the two models are well-fitted. The sensitivity and specificity (95% CI) of the models were calculated, resulting in sensitivity of 83.9%(77.5-88.8%)and 88.8% (79.2-94.4%) and specificity of83.1% (75.0-89.0%) and 74.0% (59.4-84.9%) for the training and validation cohorts, respectively.
    Conclusions: The sleep disturbance risk prediction models constructed in this study have good consistency and prediction efficiency, and can effectively predict the occurrence of sleep disturbance in clinical nurses.

    Abstract Depression increased sharply during the initial months of COVID-19, but how it developed over time is rarely explored, especially for adolescents. The current study measured depression of 605 final year high school students in China over 11 months in 4 waves. The latent growth curve modeling (LGCM) was used to examine overall trends in depression and latent class growth modeling (LCGM) was used to identify potential subgroups of adolescents' depressive trajectories. At the same time, gender, life events, and rumination were included as time-invariant covariates. Overall, the development of depression in the final year of high school students showed a slight downward trend. Meanwhile, the depression trajectories showed heterogeneity, and three categories of depression trajectories were identified, which were low-stable (24.3%), depression-risk (67.9%), and high-stable (7.8%). Neuroticism, rumination, and life events such as punishment and loss were found to significantly predict these trajectories of depression. This study helps to characterize differential depression trajectories among adolescents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and establish several related predictors of the trajectory of depression.

    Abstract The measures in the fight against COVID-19 have reshaped the functions of urban facilities, which might cause the associated crimes to vary with the occurrence of the pandemic. This paper aimed to study this phenomenon by conducting quantitative research. By treating the area under the jurisdiction of the police station (AJPS) as spatial units, the residential burglary and non-motor vehicle theft that occurred during the first-level response to the public health emergencies (pandemic) period in 2020 and the corresponding temporal window (pre-pandemic) in 2019 were collected and a practical study to Beijing was made. The impact of urban facilities on crimes during both periods was analyzed independently by using negative binomial regression (NBR) and geographical weight regression (GWR). The findings demonstrated that during the pandemic period, a reduction in the count and spatial concentration of both property crimes were observed, and the impact of facilities on crime changed. Some facilities lost their impact on crime during the pandemic period, while other facilities played a significant role in generating crime. Additionally, the variables that always kept a stable significant impact on crime during the pre- and pandemic periods demonstrated a heterogeneous impact in space and experienced some variations across the periods. The study proved that the strategies in the fight against COVID-19 changed the impact of urban facilities on crime occurrence, which deeply reshaped the crime patterns.

    Abstract Background: This study intended to analyze the application of extracorporeal shock wave therapy in medicine and to evaluate the quality of related literature.
    Methods: All publications were extracted from 2000 to 2021 from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC). The literature characteristics were depicted by VOSviewer (version 1.6.15) and the online bibliometric website ( http://bibliometric.com/ ). The future trends and hotspots were conducted by Bibliographic Item Co-occurrence Matrix Builder (version 2.0) and gCLUTO software.
    Results: We analyzed 1774 articles corresponding to the criteria for ESWT publications from 2000 to 2021. Most studies were conducted within the United States and China which besides have the most cooperation. The most published research institutions are Chang Gung University, Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and Kaohsiung Medical University. Six research hotspots were identified by keyword clustering analysis: Cluster0: The effects of ESWT on muscle spasticity; Cluster1: The application of ESWT in osteoarthritis (OA); Cluster2: Therapeutic effect of ESWT on tendon diseases; Cluster3: Early application of ESWT/ESWL in urolithiasis; Cluster4: The Role of angiogenesis in ESWT and the efficiency of ESWT for penile disease; Cluster5: The Special value of radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy (rESWT).
    Conclusions: A comprehensive and systematic bibliometric analysis of ESWT was conducted in our study. We identified six ESWT-related research hotspots and predicted future research trends. With the gradual increase of research on ESWT, we find that ESWT is used more and more extensively, such in musculoskeletal disease, bone delay union, neurological injury, andrology disorders, lymphedema, and so on. In addition, the mechanism is not destructive damage, as initially thought, but a restorative treatment. Furthermore, delayed union, cellulite, burn, and diabetic foot ulcers may be the future direction of scientific study.

    Abstract Purposeof review: In the current quest for a complete cure for HIV/AIDS, the persistence of a long-lived reservoir of cells carrying replication-competent proviruses is the major challenge. Here, we describe the main elements and characteristics of several widely used assays of HIV latent reservoir detection.
    Recent findings: To date, researchers have developed several different HIV latent reservoir detection assays. Among them, the in vitro quantitative viral outgrowth assay (QVOA) has been the gold standard for assessing latent HIV-1 viral load. The intact proviral DNA assay (IPDA) based on PCR also demonstrated the predominance of defective viruses. However, these assays all have some drawbacks and may still be inadequate in detecting the presence of ultralow levels of latent virus in many patients who were initially thought to have been cured, but eventually showed viral rebound. An accurate and precise measurement of the HIV reservoir is therefore needed to evaluate curative strategies, aimed to functional cure or sterilizing cure.

    Abstract mRNA, as one of the foci of biomedical research in the past decade, has become a candidate vaccine solution for various infectious diseases and tumors and for regenerative medicine and immunotherapy due to its high efficiency, safety, and effectiveness. A stable and effective delivery system is needed to protect mRNAs from nuclease degradation while also enhancing immunogenicity. The success of mRNA lipid nanoparticles in treating COVID-19, to a certain extent, marks a milestone for mRNA vaccines and also promotes further research on mRNA delivery systems. Here, we explore mRNA vaccine delivery systems, especially lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), considering the current research status, prospects, and challenges of lipid nanoparticles, and explore other mRNA delivery systems.

    Abstract Background: This study explores the effectiveness of Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) in enhancing orthodontic tooth movement (OTM), osteogenesis, and angiogenesis through a comprehensive series of in vitro and in vivo investigations. The in vitro experiments involved co-culturing MC3T3-E1 and HUVEC cells to assess PBMT's impact on cell proliferation, osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and associated gene expression. Simultaneously, an in vivo experiment utilized an OTM rat model subjected to laser irradiation at specific energy densities.
    Methods: In vitro experiments involved co-culturing MC3T3-E1 and HUVEC cells treated with PBMT, enabling a comprehensive assessment of cell proliferation, osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and gene expression. In vivo, an OTM rat model was subjected to laser irradiation at specified energy densities. Statistical analyses were performed to evaluate the significance of observed differences.
    Results: The results revealed a significant increase in blood vessel formation and new bone generation within the PBMT-treated group compared to the control group. In vitro, PBMT demonstrated positive effects on cell proliferation, osteogenesis, angiogenesis, and gene expression in the co-culture model. In vivo, laser irradiation at specific energy densities significantly enhanced OTM, angiogenesis, and osteogenesis.
    Conclusions: This study highlights the substantial potential of PBMT in improving post-orthodontic bone quality. The observed enhancements in angiogenesis and osteogenesis suggest a pivotal role for PBMT in optimizing treatment outcomes in orthodontic practices. The findings position PBMT as a promising therapeutic intervention that could be seamlessly integrated into orthodontic protocols, offering a novel dimension to enhance overall treatment efficacy. Beyond the laboratory, these results suggest practical significance for PBMT in clinical scenarios, emphasizing its potential to contribute to the advancement of orthodontic treatments. Further exploration of PBMT in orthodontic practices is warranted to unlock its full therapeutic potential.
