Abstract Variety-seeking is a popular choice strategy in consumers' daily lives, and many factors influence it. This study conducted a narrative and structured literature review based on three popular online academic databases to understand how researchers used influencing factors, adopted theoretical perspectives and underlying mechanisms, and developed measure methods in their studies. This paper consolidated and analyzed 61 articles on variety-seeking behaviors in consumer research, including empirical studies spanning from 2000 to 2021. This paper primarily focused on articles published at top tiers in the marketing literature. From these articles, a collection of internal and external factors, theoretical perspectives, underlying mechanisms, and measure methods adopted was summarized and tabulated for easy reference and comprehension. A research framework was developed to illustrate the relationships between influence factors and variety-seeking proposed by previous researchers. The literature review may not be exhaustive because variety-seeking behaviors could involve various research topics; however, the proposed research framework and suggested directions may be representative references for future research. This study is a more comprehensive literature review of variety-seeking behaviors in consumption research after 2000, and it contributes to a better understanding of the causes and effects of variety-seeking behaviors in consumption.

Abstract Time, an important, yet scarce resource in daily living, affects cognition, decision-making, and behavior in various ways. For instance, in marketing practice, time-bound strategies are often employed to influence consumer behavior. Thus, understanding and mastering a target market from a temporal perspective can contribute to the ease with which marketers and businesses formulate marketing strategies. Accordingly, this research conducts three studies to explore the influence of temporal framing as an external time cue on the evaluation of sponsorship-linked marketing campaigns. The studies show that future-framed participants adopted a global processing style. In this context, providing information about the sponsoring brand and sponsored event induced a more positive evaluation of future campaigns. However, in a past-frame context, participants were less likely to adopt a global processing style. Here, providing brand sponsor information alone increased the likelihood of a positive evaluation of past campaigns. Ultimately, the findings provide a theoretical basis for decision-making utilizing the influence of activities and events to enhance brand image.

Abstract Computer data mining technology has a positive impact on the accurate prediction of China's energy demand. In order to effectively alleviate the energy crisis that China is currently facing, and further forecast the energy demand, it will provide an active driving force for the sustainable economic development of our country in the future. In this study, the authors studied the current energy use trends in China, and then the authors used the DIP-REM model to predict their future development needs based on a study of the use of energy resources in Guangdong Province. This model can accurately predict the future energy expansion value of Guangdong Province. The research aims to provide a reference for related research on China's energy demand forecast.

Abstract This study aimed to investigate immune cell infiltration (ICI) in breast cancer tissues and its impact on the prognosis of patients. The whole transcriptome sequencing data sets of breast tissue (GSE126125, GSE190275 and GSE45498) were downloaded from Gene Expression Omnibus database. Data sets, including 281 breast cancer tissue samples and 59 normal breast tissue samples. In this study, the CIBERSORT algorithm was used to calculate the infiltration content of 22 immune cells subtypes in breast cancer tissues and normal breast tissues. The ICI between normal and breast cancer tissue samples was examined through the Rank-sum test. Furthermore, Kaplan-Meier and the log-rank test were used for survival analysis. Univariate and multivariate COX analysis was used to screen the prognostic risk factors of breast cancer based on ICI. The correlation between 22 kinds of immune cells was analyzed by the Pearson test. The results of univariate COX analysis indicated that resting dendritic cells, eosinophils, resting mast cells, monocytes, and memory CD4 T cells resting were protective factors for the prognosis of breast cancer patients (hazard ratio [HR] < 1, P < .05). The activation of macrophage M0 and mast cells were also prognostic risk factors for breast cancer patients (HR > 1, P < .05). Besides, multivariate COX analysis showed that resting mast cells were independent protective factors for the prognosis of breast cancer patients (HR < 1, P < .05). Macrophage M0 and mast cell activation were independent risk factors for the prognosis of breast cancer patients (HR > 1, P < .05). High infiltration of macrophage M0 and activated mast cells is associated with poor prognosis. Meanwhile, macrophage M0 and activated mast cells promote breast cancer progression. Low infiltration of resting mast cells is associated with poor prognosis, which inhibits breast cancer progression.

Abstract Background: Occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals increasingly need interdisciplinary collaborative practice competencies to respond to complex worker safety, health, and well-being risks. Effective collaboration with non-OSH-trained professionals (e.g., health promotion, human resources) is critical for planning integrated interventions that address work and non-work risks, consistent with a "
Methods: The mixed-methods study involved 210 U.S. professionals in safety (31%), industrial hygiene (16%), occupational nursing (12%) and medicine (11%), and related disciplines (30%). Participants completed a 12-item Readiness for Interprofessional Education Scale (RIPLS) adapted for TWH. Nineteen survey-takers also participated in virtual focus groups to share opinions about IPE benefits, barriers, and desirable course features.
Findings: Occupational safety and health professionals reported high overall readiness for IPE (RIPLS, 4.45 ± 0.47), endorsing IPE for interdisciplinary skill-building. Salient IPE motivators were learning new perspectives from diverse disciplines and industries; gaining new subject expertise; developing common ground across disciplines; and learning TWH best practices. Participants recommended case studies to practice interdisciplinary problem-solving through group work.
Conclusions/application to practice: Interprofessional education is a promising pedagogy for OSH continuing education to promote interdisciplinary collaboration skills needed for TWH practice in the workplace. Occupational safety and health educators need to build competency in IPE pedagogical theory and practice to ensure effective training design and evaluation.

Abstract Background: With the increasing in aging in China, there has been an increase in older adults suffering from chronic diseases. However, little is known about the differences in chronic disease conditions between rural and urban older adults. The objective of this study is to identify chronic disease conditions and investigate the factors that cause differences in chronic disease conditions between urban and rural older adults.
Methods: The data are from the fourth wave of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study. The coarsened exact matching (CEM) method was used to reduce the biases for a comparative study. After the CEM method, this study included 5,927 participants aged 60 and above. Chronic disease condition was used as the indicator to measure the health of older adults. Specifically, Fairlie's decomposition analysis was carried out to discover the differences in chronic disease conditions between urban and rural older adults.
Results: The study showed that the proportion of those suffering from chronic diseases was significantly higher among urban older adults (51.26%) than rural older adults (46.56%). In those suffering from chronic diseases, there were significant differences in gender, education level, minorities, religiosities, duration of sleep, drinking alcohol, social activity, insurance, and socioeconomic status between rural and urban older adults, while in those not suffering from chronic diseases, there were significant differences in age, education level, marital status, drinking alcohol, social activity, insurance, region, and socioeconomic status between rural and urban older adults. For rural older adults, those who were widowers [Odds ratios (OR): 1.267], who drink alcohol (OR: 1.421), and having government medical insurance (OR: 4.869) had higher odds of having chronic diseases. However, those who were in high school and above (OR: 0.802), reporting a duration of sleep of 4-8 h (OR: 0.745) or above 8 h (OR: 0.649), having social activity (OR: 0.778), and having the most affluent socioeconomic status (OR: 0.778) had lower odds of having chronic diseases. As for urban older adults, those who were aged 65-74 years (OR: 1.246) and had government medical insurance (OR: 2.362) had higher odds of having chronic diseases. Fairlie's decomposition analysis indicated that 23.57% of the differences in chronic diseases conditions could be traced to duration of sleep, drinking alcohol, social activity, and region.
Conclusion: This study illustrated that the proportion of chronic diseases was higher among urban older adults than rural older adults. Considering duration of sleep, drinking alcohol, region, social activity, and region, the study demonstrated health differences between urban and rural older adults and provided evidence for policy-making to narrow the health gap between urban and rural areas.
