    Abstract Jinzhou New District Medical Center of the first Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University is the largest medical construction project, which has a large volume, complex functions, and involves many construction majors. It also has many difficulties during construction processes and need to meet high quality requirements. Therefore, traditional construction methods are difficult to meet its design requirements. BIM technology is used in the project, to perform construction process simulation, to optimize construction organization and to control cost and quality. In fact, it is applied in the whole construction management, quality management, cost management and safety management, which leads to the great success in avoiding the problems of design defects, quality hazards and economic losses caused by the complicated process requirements of medical construction projects. The result shows that BIM technology has brought many benefits, such as some economic effect, the shortened construction period and the expected quality and safety objectives. That is to say, the application effect of BIM technology is remarkable.

    Abstract Recent studies have shown that the potential regulatory role of N6-methyladenine (m6A) modification may affect the occurrence and development of various cardiovascular diseases. However, the regulatory mechanism of m6A modification on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI) is rarely reported. A mouse model of myocardial ischemia reperfusion (I/R) was established by ligation and perfusion of the left anterior descending coronary artery, and a cellular model of hypoxia/reperfusion (H/R) was conducted in cardiomyocytes (CMs). We found that the protein expression of ALKBH5 in myocardial tissues and cells were decreased, accompanied by increased m6A modification level. Overexpression of ALKBH5 significantly inhibited H/R-induced oxidative stress and apoptosis in CMs. Mechanistically, there was an enriched m6A motif in the 3′-UTR of SIRT1 genome, and ALKBH5 overexpression promoted the stability of SIRT1 mRNA. Furthermore, results using overexpression or knockdown of SIRT1 confirmed the protective effect of SIRT1 on H/R induced CMs apoptosis. Together, our study reveals a critical role of ALKBH5-medicated m6A on CM apoptosis, supplying an important regulating effect of m6A methylation in ischemic heart disease.

    Abstract Light is scattered and partially absorbed while traveling through water, hence, underwater captured images often exhibit issues such as low contrast, detail blurring, color attenuation, and low illumination. To improve the visual performance of underwater imaging, herein, we propose a two-step method of zero-shot dehazing and level adjustment. In the newly developed approach, the original image is fed into a “zero-shot” dehazing network and further enhanced by an improved level adjustment methodology combined with auto-contrast. By conducting experiments, we then compare the performance of the proposed method with six classical state-of-the-art methods. The qualitative results confirm that the proposed method is capable of effectively removing haze, correcting color deviations, and maintaining the naturalness of images. We further perform a quantitative evaluation, revealing that the proposed method outperforms the comparison methods in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio and structural similarity. The enhancement results are also measured by employing the underwater color image quality evaluation index (UCIQE), indicating that the proposed approach exhibits the highest mean values of 0.58 and 0.53 on the two data sets. The experimental results collectively validate the efficiency of the proposed methodology in enhancing underwater blurred images.

    Abstract Abstract With the control parameters of the wall thickness of the ball table and the thickness of the pressure plate of the ball table, four universal wrapped assembled joint models were designed for the research of stress performance via static loading test. The failure mode of the joint, the axial force–displacement curve of the web member, the equivalent stress distribution of the ball table and the pressure plate of the ball table were analyzed, and the ABQAUS finite element software was used for the analysis of parameter expansion of the specimen. The research results show that the failure modes of universally wrapped assembled joints can be divided into the buckling failure of the ball table and the strength failure of the material. The wall thickness of the ball table is the key parameter affecting the failure mode of the joints, and the thickness of the pressure plate of the ball table is the crucial parameter influencing the ultimate bearing capacity of the joints. The maximum equivalent stress of the pressure plate and the ball table at compression zone for all the joints is occurred at the side squeezed by the bolt ball, and the growth rate of the equivalent stress for the ball table at compression zone is more uniform than that at tension zone. According to the finite element analysis results, when the wall thickness of the ball table is greater than 7 mm, the thickness of the pressure plate of the ball table is greater than 16 mm, the growth rate of the ultimate bearing capacity of the joint is significantly decreased, therefore, it is recommended to use the wall thickness of 7 mm and the pressure plate thickness of 16 mm in the actual design of the project.

    Abstract Ecological slope protection projects (such as the reinforcement of low slopes by plants and ecological restorations of the soil of high steep rocky slopes) are essential for restoring the natural environment. In this study, red bed soil and composite polymer adhesive materials were used to develop an ecological membrane for application in slope ecological protection. The basic physical and mechanical properties of the ecological membranes with different material percentages were studied through tensile strength test and viscosity test, the effect of different material percentages on the properties of ecological membranes was studied, and the soil protection performance and ecological restoration performance were studied through anti-erosion and plant growth tests. The results show that the ecological membrane is soft and tough, with high tensile strength. The addition of the red bed soil can enhance the strength of the ecological membrane, and the ecological membrane with 30% red bed soil has the highest tensile strength. The ecological membrane has considerable tensile deformation capability and viscosity, and up to 100% by mass, the more composite polymer adhesive materials added, the greater the tensile deformation capability and viscosity. And the ecological membrane can enhance the anti-erosion performance of the soil. This study clarifies the development and technology of the ecological membrane, reveals the effect of different material percentages on the properties of ecological membrane, and analyzes the slope ecological protection mechanism of the ecological membrane, thereby providing theoretical and data support for its development, improvement, and application.

    Abstract As small ectotherms, insects need to cope with the challenges of winter cold by regulating the water content through water transport. Aquaporins (AQPs) are key players to enhance the cold resistance by mediating essential homeostatic processes in many animals but remain poorly characterized in insects. Agriphila aeneociliella is a newly discovered winter wheat pest in China, and its early-stage larvae have strong tolerance to low temperature stress. Six AQP genes were identified, which belong to five AQP subfamilies (RPIP, Eglp, AQP12L, PRIP, DRIP). All of them contained six hydrophobic transmembrane helices (TMHs) and two relatively conservative Asparagine-Proline-Alanine motifs. The three-dimensional homology modeling showed that the six TMHs folded into an hourglass-like shape, and the imperceptible replace of four ar/R residues in contraction region had critical effects on changing the pore size of channels. Moreover, the transcript levels of AaAQP 1, 3, and 6 increased significantly with the treatment time below 0 °C. Combined with the results of pore radius variation, it is suggested that AaAQP1 and AaAQP3 may be considered to be the key anti-hypothermia proteins in A. aeneociliella by regulating rapid cell dehydration and allowing the influx of extracellular cold resistance molecules, thus avoiding death in winter.

    Abstract The transition from a linear economy (LE) to a circular economy (CE) is not just about mitigating the negative impacts of LE, but also about considering changes in infrastructure, while leveraging the power of technology to reduce resource production and consumption and waste generation, and improve long-term resilience. The existing research suggests that digital technologies (DTs) have great potential to drive the CE. However, despite the exponential growth and increasing interest in studies on DTs and the CE from year 2016 onwards, few systematic studies on the application of DTs to enable the CE have been found. In addition, the current status and development direction of the DT-driven CE is unclear, and the potential of DTs to support CE implementation is under-researched. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to explore the potential of DTs to drive the CE. This paper set out to analyze the current status and development of the DT-driven CE and examine future development trends in the field. Using a systematic literature review approach, this paper is the first attempt to use a mixed method, i.e., to combine macro-quantitative bibliometric methods with a micro-qualitative content analysis method to explore the DT-driven CE. The results, which include the research background, co-occurrence clusters, research hotspots, and development trends of keyword co-occurrence network visualization and keyword burst detection, are presented from a macro perspective using two bibliometric analysis softwares. In addition, the use of 13 specific DTs in the CE is analyzed according to seven disciplinary areas (Environmental Sciences and Ecology, Engineering, Science and Technology and Other Topics, Business Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research and Management Science, and Construction and Building Technology) of greatest interest from a micro-qualitative point of view. Further, future trends and challenges facing DT-driven CE development are explored and feasible directions for solutions are proposed.
