Abstract BACKGROUND: A large amount of research has improved electrochemical performance by strengthening the chemical affinity by using polar materials in lithium–sulfur batteries. However, only some of this research has focused on the relationship between structure and polysulfide adsorption ability. RESULTS: In this work, a Ti₃C₂ nanosheet structure has been applied as sulfur host matrix to improve electrochemical performance. Due to the nanosheet structure, the polysulfide was able to diffuse between the Ti₃C₂ layers, therefore improving the catalytic effect of the polysulfide. Moreover, the space between the Ti₃C₂ layers can store the soluble polysulfide as an effective reservoir. As a result, the traditional shuttle effect of the polysulfide could be efficiently inhibited. CONCLUSION: Therefore, the as‐prepared Ti₃C₂/S composites exhibited high specific capacity, high rate performance, and stable cycle performance. All these superior electrochemical performances are attributed to the presence of the Ti₃C₂ nanosheet. © 2022 Society of Chemical Industry (SCI).

Abstract Taking COVID-19 as an example, we know that a pandemic can have a huge impact on normal human life and the economy. Meanwhile, the population flow between countries and regions is the main factor affecting the changes in a pandemic, which is determined by the airline network. Therefore, realizing the overall control of airports is an effective way to control a pandemic. However, this is restricted by the differences in prevention and control policies in different areas and privacy issues, such as how a patient's personal data from a medical center cannot be effectively combined with their passenger personal data. This prevents more precise airport control decisions from being made. To address this, this paper designed a novel data-sharing framework (i.e., PPChain) based on blockchain and federated learning. The experiment uses a CPU i7-12800HX and uses Docker to simulate multiple virtual nodes. The model is deployed to run on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3090Ti GPU. The experiment shows that the relationship between a pandemic and aircraft transport can be effectively explored by PPChain without sharing raw data. This approach does not require centralized trust and improves the security of the sharing process. The scheme can help formulate more scientific and rational prevention and control policies for the control of airports. Additionally, it can use aerial data to predict pandemics more accurately.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological features of colon squamous cell carcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma. Methods: The clinicopathological data and prognosis of 4 patients with colonic squamous cell carcinoma or adenosquamous carcinoma were collected retrospectively. Results: There were 1 male and 3 female, and the age ranged from 29 to 76 years old. Serum CA19-9 was increased in 2 cases, which were 88.25 ng/mL and 553.13 ng/mL, respectively. Serum CEA increased in 2 cases, which were 116.39 U/mL and 37.22 U/mL, respectively. Three cases occurred in ascending colon and 1 case in descending colon. Microscopically, the squamous cell carcinoma of 4 cases was arranged into irregular nesting or flake shape, the tumor cells were polygonal or irregular, the cells were eosinophilic and expressed P40 and P63, while the adenocarcinoma of 2 adenosquamous carcinoma cases was arranged into irregular glandular tubules or cribriform, and the cell nucleus was deeply stained and expressed CAM5.2 and CK20. P16 was expressed in 3 cases. One case was complicated with schistosome. No patient was with human papilloma virus infection. Mismatch repair protein absently expressed in 3 cases. Three cases were complicated with KRAS gene mutation. At the last of follow-up, 1 patient died at 16.4 months after surgery, and the remaining 3 patients survived without recurrence (median follow-up time: 42 months). Conclusions: Squamous cell carcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma are rare histopathological types of colorectal cancer with poor biological behavior, often accompanied by loss of mismatch repair protein expression and KRAS gene mutation. Radical resection is an effective way to obtain a good prognosis.

Abstract Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors have been attracted a lot of attention due to their simple mechanism, easy fabrication, and convenient signal acquisition and analysis. Herein, a new flexible piezoresistive sensor based on microstructured electrospun rough polyurethane (PU) nanofibers film is assembled. The microstructured PU film with tiny bumps is prepared in one step via electrospinning technology, which imparts a microstructured rough upper surface and a smooth lower surface. With this unique microstructure, we have made it possible for PU/Ag films to serve as sensing layers for piezoresistive sensors by introducing a silver conductive layer on the surface of electrospun PU film. The fabricated piezoresistive pressure sensor delivers high sensitivity (10.53 kPa

Abstract Event representation aims to transform individual events from a narrative event chain into a set of low-dimensional vectors to help support a series of downstream applications, e.g., similarity differentiation and missing event prediction. Traditional event representation models tend to focus on single modeling perspectives and thus are incapable of capturing physically disconnected yet semantically connected event segments. We, therefore, propose a heterogeneous event graph model (HeterEvent) to explicitly represent such event segments. Furthermore, another challenge in traditional event representation models is inherited from the datasets themselves. Data sparsity and insufficient labeled data are commonly encountered in event chains, easily leading to overfitting and undertraining. Therefore, we extend HeterEvent with a multistructure contrastive learning framework (MulCL) to alleviate the training risks from two structural perspectives. From the sequential perspective, a sequential-view contrastive learning component (SeqCL) is designed to facilitate the acquisition of sequential characteristics. From the graph perspective, a graph-view contrastive learning component (GraCL) is proposed to enhance the robustness of graph training by comparing different corrupted graphs. Experimental results confirm that our proposed MulCL

Abstract The goal of this study was to explore the self-guided machining mechanism of boring and trepanning association (BTA) deep hole drilling and realize precise control of the machining quality. The motion analysis method was used to analyze the center motion trajectory of the drill during the entrance, and the self-guiding mechanism and hole-forming mechanism of BTA deep hole drilling were revealed. Considering the bending deformation of the drilling tube and the tool structure parameters, according to the elastic-plastic deformation theory and Hertzian contact theory, a novel analytical model of the extrusion contact between the guide pads and the hole wall of the BTA deep hole drilling was established for the theoretical prediction of the extrusion deformation and the machining hole diameter. Combined with the finite element method (FEM) simulation model, the variation law of the contact inclination angle, contact stress, and extrusion deformation of the guide pads and the hole wall with the drilling conditions were studied. The total extrusion deformation between the guide pad and the hole wall was between 10 and 50 μm. The maximum error between the FEM simulation results and the test results was 18.1%, and the maximum error between the analytical model results and the test results was 23.6%. The simulation and experimental results showed that the established extrusion contact model could accurately predict the extrusion deformation of the hole wall and the machining hole diameter.

Abstract Responsive chromogenic materials have attracted increasing interest among researchers; however, up until now, few materials have exhibited multifunctional chromogenic properties. The coordination polymers (CPs) provide intriguing platforms to design and construct multifunctional materials. Here, a multifunctional photo/electricity responsive CP named Zn-Oxv, which is based on the "extended viologen" (ExV) ligand, was synthesized. The Zn-Oxv exhibited reversible photochromism, photomodulated fluorescence, electrochromism and electrofluorochromism. Furthermore, we prepared Zn-Oxv thin films and investigated electrochromic (EC) properties of viologen-based CPs for the first time. Zn-Oxv thin films showed excellent EC performance with a rapid switching speed (both coloring and bleaching time within 1 s), high coloration efficiency (102.9 cm
