Abstract Cartilage damage has a certain ability to spontaneously repair, but the repaired tissue often shows the phenomenon of cartilage terminal differentiation, which causes irreversible damage to its structure and function and seriously affects the quality of life and work of patients. It is of great significance to study the problems encountered in the process of cartilage damage repair. This article mainly studied stem cells to promote the regeneration of knee joint degenerative bone articular cartilage. First, the animal articular cartilage defect is modeled, 10 ml of animal venous blood is drawn, 0.5 ml of PRP is collected by centrifugation, mixed with cartilage fragments, and transplanted into the defect area into a gel. In the BMSCs group, 1 ml of BMSCs with a cell concentration of 107 cells/ml was injected intra-articularly. The histological chromosomes were observed after 6 weeks and 12 weeks, and the effect of cartilage tissue repair was analyzed and evaluated, and the related data were statistically analyzed. We evaluated the spontaneous repair ability of partial cartilage damage, full-thickness cartilage damage, and osteochondral damage. Furthermore, for partial cartilage damage repair, by using the cartilage damage in vitro model and biomaterials to simulate the in vivo microenvironment, the adhesion and cell morphology on the surface of partial- and full-thickness cartilage damage were evaluated, and the experiments were further used to evaluate the exogenous and internal induced migration effect of source on cultured cells in vitro. In the cell concentration study, the cartilage repair effect increased with the increase in concentration within a certain range, and the tissue repair ability remained stable when the concentration exceeded 107 cells/ml. Using ECM-oriented scaffolds to compound autologous BMSCs, tissue-engineered cartilage was successfully constructed, which had the histological and biochemical characteristics of normal cartilage tissue, and better repaired the damaged articular cartilage of large animals.

Abstract Brand image assessment is a key step to reasonably quantify the value of a brand and has far-reaching significance for improving the competitiveness of an enterprise. With the rapid development of Internet technology, traditional questionnaires can no longer meet the current needs of brand image assessment. In this environment, the huge amount of fragmented consumer topic data provides a rich data resource and new research ideas for brand image assessment. Therefore, a brand image assessment method based on consumer sentiment analysis is proposed. First, a topic-based brand image cognitive label extraction method is proposed by setting language rules, aggregation rules, and ranking rules according to the characteristics of online topic data. Then, the fusion of cognitive labels and deep features is performed by fusing the deep features extracted from word vectors. Finally, a supervised learning support vector machine is selected as the sentiment classification model. The experimental results show that based on the obtained important cognitive labels, enterprises are able to better understand the unique attributes that consumers have for the brand; the feature fusion approach is better evaluated and can accurately reflect consumers' views on brand image and quantified as brand score.

Abstract A highly affordable, sensitive and portable detection platform for the quantitative identification of sodium copper chlorophyllin (SCC) in food and environment is a crucial need. Even though many carbon dots (CDs) based sensors have been developed, few reports on using CDs as optical probes for SCC detection have been published so far. In this paper, orange luminescent CDs (OLCDs) were prepared via solvothermal method, which have high fluorescence quantum yield (27.20 %) and excellent photostability. OLCDs can detect SCC via inner filter effect (IFE), with fast response, high selectivity, outstanding sensitivity and superior anti-interference ability. Benefiting from the remarkable properties of OLCDs, a portable sensing platform was triumphantly constructed, which facilitated the in situ, real-time quantitative determination of SCC in diverse actual samples, by catching the fluorescence change of OLCDs-based paper sensors via smartphone RGB colorimetric analysis. This first CDs-based smart sensing system displays great potential for quantification of SCC in various fields.

Abstract Foodborne pathogens seriously endanger people's health and cause significant economic losses. Therefore, it is of great significance to design potent packaging materials with the function of alleviating food spoiling and extending shelf life. Here, three BODIPY derivatives (named as N-BDPI, B-BDPI and P-BDPI) were synthesized by substituting the 8-position of BODIPY with naphthalene, biphenyl and pyridine groups, respectively, and their photophysical properties as well as antibacterial capacities were characterized. The results demonstrated that N-BDPI had the best singlet oxygen generation ability and could completely kill S. aureus under light irradiation with the minimum inhibitory concentration of only 50 nmol/L. In addition, 1.0% BDPI@PVA/AL composite film was fabricated by doping N-BDPI into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and alkaline lignin (AL) exhibited high antibacterial activity on Gram-positive bacteria. The coating of strawberries with 1.0% BDPI@PVA/AL film not only effectively inhibited the mildew of strawberries, but also extended their shelf life.

Abstract Aims: The study aims to provide comprehensive evidence for the selection of agents in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with cardiovascular risk and summarize the lasted evidence for the cardiovascular effects of sodium glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) in patients with heart failure (HF).
Methods and results: Several online databases were searched. All studies that explored the cardiovascular effects of SGLT2i or glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonist (GLP1-RA) were screened and reviewed. A total of 38 studies were included. Compared with GLP1-RA, the use of SGLT2i significantly reduced the risk of cardiovascular death [risk ratio (RR) = 0.59; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.44-0.58], hospitalization of heart failure (HHF) (RR = 0.77; 95% CI, 0.74-0.80), death from any cause (RR = 0.64; 95% CI, 0.60-0.68), and myocardial infarction (MI) (RR = 0.81; 95% CI, 0.76-0.87). However, SGLT2i significantly increased the risk of stroke (RR = 1.10; 95% CI, 1.04-1.17). Compared with the control group, SGLT2i treatment reduced the risk of cardiovascular death by 14% (RR = 0.86; 95% CI, 0.79-0.94), HHF by 25%, and death from any cause by 9% in patients with HF, regardless of diabetes status.
Conclusions: SGLT2i is associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular death, HHF, death from any cause, and MI in patients with T2DM compared with GLP1-RA. In addition, SGLT2i brought more benefits with respect to the effects of cardiovascular death, HHF, and death from any cause in patients with HF, regardless of diabetes status.

Abstract The purpose was to analyze the clinical significance of miR-200a in children with initially diagnosed SLE and renal damage. Children with initially diagnosed SLE (n=100) and healthy children (n=50) undergoing physical examinations during the same period were recruited. Disease activity of SLE children was determined based on SLEDAI (systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index), and they were divided to SLEDAI≤9 group and SLEDAI>9 group, respectively. Moreover, SLE children were divided to LN group and non-LN group based on the occurrence of lupus nephritis. Differential level of miR-200a between groups was detected by qRT-PCR. Spearman correlation test was conducted to analyze the influence of miR-200a on SLEDAI and other laboratory indexes of SLE children. Its diagnostic potential in SLE and LN was assessed through depicting ROC curves. MiR-200a level was remarkably lower in SLE children than that of healthy children. Lower level of miR-200a was detected in SLE children with high SLEDAI or accompanied LN. MiR-200a level was negatively correlated to SLEDAI (r=-0.425), ESR (r=-0.284), CRP (r=-0.338), BUN (r=-0.263) and Scr (r=-0.345), while it was positively correlated to C3 (r=0.631), C4 (r=0.524) and ALB (r=0.394) in SLE children. The AUC of miR-200a in diagnosing SLE was 0.8379 (cut-off value=2.225, sensitivity=70%, specificity=70%). Besides, the AUC of miR-200a in diagnosing LN was 0.7619 (cut-off value=2.005, sensitivity=80%, specificity=76%). MiR-200a level has a certain correlation to the disease activity of children with initially diagnosed SLE, which can be utilized as an adjuvant indicator in evaluating SLE severity. Meanwhile, miR-200a has predictive value for SLE-induced renal damage.

Abstract Previous works have shown that hematological system can be affected by exposure to lead; however, the effects of multiple metals on platelets remain elusive within the population from metal-contaminated areas. Hence, the study enrolled 609 participants, with 396 from a metal-exposed area and 213 from a control area. Platelet count (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), thrombocytocrit (PCT), platelet to large cell ratio (P-LCR), and platelet distribution width (PDW) were selected to evaluate platelet function. Stepwise regression and Lasso regression were utilized to identify the most influential metals. Moreover, the generalized linear model (GLM), Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) models, and quantile g-computation were employed to estimate the individual or combined effects associations between 12 urinary metals and platelet indices. The results revealed all metals except vanadium, copper, strontium, and molybdenum were significantly higher in the exposed group. The GLM models indicated that urinary metals, including lead, antimony, and arsenic, exhibited associations with PLT, MPV, P-LCR, and PDW. Quantile g-computation and BKMR demonstrated negative correlations between metal mixtures and MPV as well as PDW. In conclusion, the study highlights the associations between multiple metal exposures and platelet indices, suggesting that elevated levels of the metal mixture may impede platelet activation in the population in metal-contaminated areas.

Abstract Bach2 was initially discovered in B cells, where it was revealed to control the transcription involved in cell differentiation. Bach2 is intimately connected to CD8 + T lymphocytes in various differentiation states and subsets according to recent findings. Bach2 can regulate primitive T cells, stimulate the development and differentiation of memory CD8 + T cells, inhibit the differentiation of effector CD8 + T cells, and play a significant role in the exhaustion of CD8 + T cells. The appearance and development of diseases are tightly linked to irregular CD8 + T cell differentiation and function. Accordingly, Bach2 offers novel approaches and possible targets for the clinical treatment of associated disorders based on research on these pathways. Here, we summarize the role of Bach2 in the function and differentiation of CD8 + T cells and its potential clinical applications.
