Abstract Change detection plays a crucial role in remote sensing by identifying surface modifications between two sets of temporal remote sensing images. Recent advancements in deep learning techniques have yielded significant achievements in this field. However, there are still some challenges: (1) Existing change feature fusion methods often introduce redundant information. (2) The complexity of network structures leads to a large number of parameters and difficulties in model training. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposes a Multi-Scale Feature Subtraction Fusion Network (MFSF-Net). It comprises two primary modules: the Multi-scale Feature Subtraction Fusion (MFSF) module and the Feature Deep Supervision (FDS) module. MFSF enhances change features and reduces redundant pseudo-change features. FDS provides additional supervision on different scales of change features in the decoder, improving the training efficiency performance of the network. Additionally, to address the problem of imbalanced samples, the Dice loss strategy is introduced as a means to mitigate this issue. Through comprehensive experiments, MFSF-Net achieves an F1 score of 91.15% and 95.64% on LEVIR-CD and CDD benchmark datasets, respectively, outperforming six state-of-the-art algorithms. Moreover, it attains an improved balance between model complexity and performance, showcasing the efficacy of the proposed approach.

Abstract To promote the coordinated development of high quality postgraduate education and economy is the realization of all-round construction of the socialist modernization of China power.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2021, this paper constructs the index of graduate education and high-quality economic development respectively, and analyzes it by coupling coordination model, kernel density estimation and spatial Markov chain model. The results show that: first, the postgraduate education and the high economic quality of most provinces in China are matched, but there is a significant difference between the eastern and western regions in their collaborative development; Second, the level of synergistic development between graduate education and high economic quality is low, and the central and northeastern regions are seriously divided, but the differences in synergistic effects between different regions are narrowing.Third, according to the results of trend prediction, there is the coexistence of "beggar-thy-neighbor" and "good-neighborliness", and it is difficult to achieve leapfrog coordinated development. Therefore, it is proposed to pay attention to the high-quality economic development to provide a rich material basis for graduate education, the change of graduate education structure should adapt to the needs of high-quality economic development, and implement different reform measures in different regions to promote the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country.

Abstract Research has indicated that English learning stress contributes significantly to English learning burnout among undergraduate students. However, knowledge of the mediating and moderating mechanisms underlying this relationship is limited. To bridge this gap, a moderated mediation model was constructed to examine whether English learning self-efficacy mediated the relationship between English learning stress and English learning burnout. Furthermore, this study analyzed whether the mediated relationship was moderated by mindfulness and gender. A total of 1130 Chinese undergraduate students (mean age = 20.84 years, SD = 1.57 years) reported their experiences regarding English learning stress, English learning self-efficacy, English learning burnout, and mindfulness. After controlling for covariates, the results revealed that English learning self-efficacy mediated the positive link between English learning stress and English learning burnout among both men and women. Moreover, the findings demonstrated that the indirect link was moderated by mindfulness among male undergraduate students. However, the moderating effect of mindfulness was not significant among the women in this study. The implications of these findings for future research, and the development of intervention and prevention of English learning burnout are discussed.

Abstract Facial feature point detection has been receiving great research advances in recent years. Numerous methods have been developed and applied in practical face analysis systems. However, it is still a quite challenging task because of the large variability in expression and gestures and the existence of occlusions in real-world photo shoot. In this paper, we present a robust sparse reconstruction method for the face alignment problems. Instead of a direct regression between the feature space and the shape space, the concept of shape increment reconstruction is introduced. Moreover, a set of coupled overcomplete dictionaries termed the shape increment dictionary and the local appearance dictionary are learned in a regressive manner to select robust features and fit shape increments. Additionally, to make the learned model more generalized, we select the best matched parameter set through extensive validation tests. Experimental results on three public datasets demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a better robustness over the state-of-the-art methods.

Abstract Localizing facial landmarks is a popular topic in the field of face analysis. However, problems arose in practical applications such as handling pose variations and partial occlusions while maintaining moderate training model size and computational efficiency still challenges current solutions. In this paper, we present a global shape reconstruction method for locating extra facial landmarks comparing to facial landmarks used in the training phase. In the proposed method, the reduced configuration of facial landmarks is first decomposed into corresponding sparse coefficients. Then explicit face shape correlations are exploited to regress between sparse coefficients of different facial landmark configurations. Finally extra facial landmarks are reconstructed by combining the pretrained shape dictionary and the approximation of sparse coefficients. By applying the proposed method, both the training time and the model size of a class of methods which stack local evidences as an appearance descriptor can be scaled down with only a minor compromise in detection accuracy. Extensive experiments prove that the proposed method is feasible and is able to reconstruct extra facial landmarks even under very asymmetrical face poses.

Abstract Developing efficient and stable non-noble electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is one of the promising and challenging issues. This paper describes an approach to prepare core-shell cobalt-manganese oxides with specific morphologies and oxygen vacancies. Via a facile seed growth method, facets evolution is achieved during the formation of core-shell structure. Benefited from optimized surface environment, oxygen vacancy-enriched octahedral cobalt-manganese oxides supported on Ni foam exhibited relatively low overpotential of 284 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm−2 and diminutive tafel slope of 73.1 mV dec−1 as well as long-term stability. This work successfully unveils a method for facet-modulation of core-shell metal oxides as efficient electrochemical OER catalysts.

Abstract To characterize the hot deformation behavior of commonly used aluminum alloy, a homogeneous Al–Mg–Si–Mn–Cr alloy was analyzed by thermal simulation test at deformation temperature range of 653–803 K and strain rate range of 0.01–10 s⁻¹. The flow stresses were predicted by modified Johnson–Cook model, modified Zerilli–Armstrong model and strain-compensated Arrhenius model. The results show that the three models are able to predict the flow behavior of the alloy. Strain-compensated Arrhenius model has the best simulation ability in predicting flow stresses, while the modified Johnson–Cook model has lower prediction accuracy and the modified Zerilli–Armstrong model has poorer predictive ability at low strain rates. Microstructure evolution shows that subgrain boundaries form at original grain boundaries at first, moving toward to the center of the deformed grains. The dislocation density decreases, while the number and the size of subgrains increase with the decreasing Zener–Hollomon (Z) parameter. Both dynamic recovery (DRV) and dynamic recrystallization take place in hot deformation process. DRV is considered to be the primary dynamic softening mechanism throughout the entire hot deformation range. Continuous dynamic recrystallization and discontinuous dynamic recrystallization operate concurrently at low strain rates and high temperatures. The relationship of subgrain size and predicted flow stress is presented. Moreover, activation volume is introduced to reveal the thermal activation mechanism during hot deformation.
