Abstract To achieve the commitments to both carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, China should focus on those policies of significant impact on emissions reduction at the lowest cost. Launching the national carbon market with the power generation sector is a good start point in this direction. Since its operation, the carbon price has not experienced sharp fluctuations, and falls within a range of CNY40~60 per ton. The block agreement transaction dominates trading, but with an average discount rate of 9.6% in block agreement, the aforementioned carbon prices overestimate the overall carbon prices. While the overall compliance rate measured against entities reached about 94.4%, there are significant differences across provinces, with compliance rate ranging from 82.9% to a full 100% compliance. Entities engaging in trading are mainly for compliance, and therefore transaction is driven by compliance. This article argues that the development of the carbon market requires further reform of the electricity pricing mechanism and the coordinated development of various related markets. With respect to national carbon trading scheme itself, the article discusses the areas where more work needs to be done to ensure that the national carbon emissions trading scheme functions properly. This involves carbon emissions trading legislation, further improvement in the rules conducive to the use of carbon emissions trading as a market tool, and the expansion of the participating industries and the scope of the carbon market in terms of diversifying market players and increasing trading varieties. Given the co-existence of the national carbon market and regional carbon market pilots, the article suggests the specific areas for the regional carbon markets to take the initiative to strengthen the synergistic effects of national carbon market. Furthermore, the article strongly recommends to continuously increase the proportion of carbon allowances auctions, and to set up a transformation fund from the proceeds of paid allocation of allowances ...

Abstract With the development of the integration and miniaturization of sensing devices, the concept of self-sensing devices has been proposed. A motion state is self-sensed via the structure or integration of an actuator in the construction of a sensing unit. This device is then used to capture the perception and measurement of states such as position, displacement, and speed. A triboelectric nanogenerator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy through the coupling effect of contact generation and electrostatic induction, which represents one of the reliable ways through which to realize integrated sensing. In this world, the power generation technology of the TENG is applied to a sensing device. The sensing characteristics of a grid-like TENG are designed and analyzed in freestanding triboelectric mode. Firstly, a relation model of displacement, velocity, voltage, and charge is established. The charge-transfer increment and current amounts are linearly related to the velocity. The open-circuit voltage has a positive relationship with the displacement. The maximum open-circuit voltage and the maximum charge transfer are fixed values, and they are only related to the inherent parameters of a triboelectric nanogenerator. Next, the sensor model is constructed using COMSOL Multiphysics 6.0. The simulation results show that the relationships between output voltage and charge transfer, as well as those between the increments of charge transfer, velocity, and displacement, are consistent with the results derived from the formula. Finally, a performance test of the designed sensor is carried out, and the results are consistent with the theoretical deduction and simulation. After analysis and processing of the output electrical signal by the host computer, it can feedback the frequency and speed value of the measured object. In addition, the output signal is stable, and there is no large fluctuation or attenuation during the 521-s vibration test. Because the working unit of the sensor is thin filmed, it is small in size, easy to integrate, and has no external power supply; moreover, it can be integrated into a device to realize the self-sensing of a motion state.

Abstract ObjectiveThis study aims to develop and validate a prediction model for evaluating the social participation in the community middle-aged and older adult stroke survivors.MethodsThe predictive model is based on data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), which focused on individuals aged 45 years or older. The study utilized subjects from the CHARLS 2015 and 2018 wave, eighteen factors including socio-demographic variables, behavioral and health status, mental health parameters, were analyzed in this study. To ensure the reliability of the model, the study cohort was randomly split into a training set (70%) and a validation set (30%). The Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression analysis was used to identify the most effective predictors of the model through a 10-fold cross-validation. The logistic regression model was employed to investigate the factors associated with social participation in stroke patients. A nomogram was constructed to develop a prediction model. Calibration curves were used to assess the accuracy of the nomogram model. The model’s performance was evaluated using the area under the curve (AUC) and decision curve analysis (DCA).ResultA total of 1,239 subjects with stroke from the CHARLS database collected in 2013 and 2015 wave were eligible in the final analysis. Out of these, 539 (43.5%) subjects had social participation. The model considered nineteen factors, the LASSO regression selected eleven factors, including age, gender, residence type, education level, pension, insurance, financial dependence, physical function (PF), self-reported healthy, cognition and satisfaction in the prediction model. These factors were used to construct the nomogram model, which showed a certain extent good concordance and accuracy. The AUC values of training and internal validation sets were 0.669 (95%CI 0.631–0.707) and 0.635 (95% CI 0.573–0.698), respectively. Hosmer–Lemeshow test values were p = 0.588 and p = 0.563. Calibration curves showed agreement ...

Abstract To investigate the efficacy and safety of Jin three needles combined with Tong Qiao Wu Blood-streaming Tang in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), this retrospective study analyzed the data of patients with AIS between January 2017 and December 2022. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores, blood neuron-specific enolase, S100β protein (S100β), fibrinogen (FIB), cerebral infarct volume, D-dimer (D-D), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time, hypersensitive c-reactive protein (hs-CRP), serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and homocysteine (Hcy) were compared between the 2 groups. The treatment effect was significantly better in the observation group than in the comparison group (P < .05). The NIHSS score, neuron-specific enolase, S100β, and cerebral infarct volume were significantly lower in both groups after treatment than before treatment (P < .05). FIB and D-D levels were significantly lower and APTT and PT levels were significantly higher in both groups after treatment than before treatment (P < .05). TNF-α, hs-CRP, and Hcy were significantly lower in both groups after treatment than before treatment, and TNF-α, hs-CRP and Hcy were significantly lower in the observation group than in the comparison group (P < .05). No statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions occurred between the 2 groups (P > .05). Combining Jin three needles can improve the therapeutic effect in patients with AIS, promote the recovery of neurological function, improve coagulation function, and reduce the inflammatory response with good safety.

Abstract Traditional single-pixel imaging uses Fourier patterns to modulate objects in the Cartesian coordinate system. The Cartesian Fourier pattern of single-pixel imaging is inappropriate to display in a circular field of view. However, a circular field of view is a widespread form of display in computed optical imaging. Here, circular patterns are adopted to adapt to the circular visual area. The circular patterns are displayed in polar coordinates and derived from two-dimensional Fourier transform in polar coordinates. The proposed circular patterns have improved imaging efficiency significantly from 63.66% to 100%. The proposed polar coordinate Fourier single-pixel imaging is expected to be applied in circular field-of-view imaging and foveated imaging.
