Titelübersetzung Effect of genotypes of unspecific esterases and leucine aminopeptidase loci on the temporal dynamics of morphological variation in the black sea mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam.
Abstract In the Black Sea mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam., the dependence of variation in 21 morphological characters of the shell on the genotype at the polymorphic loci encoding unspecific esterases and leucine aminopeptidase was estimated by means of ANOVA in 12 samples differing in age and belonging to different generations. The genotype at these loci was found to have no constant influence on the dynamics of variation in any morphological character. The effect of the parameters of polymorphism was ambiguous: a factor having a significant effect on a certain character in one sample might have no such effect (or produce an effect on a different character) in another sample. A directional change in the significant effect of genotypes during a certain period of generation's lifetime was revealed. The dependence of the effect of polymorphism at the studied loci on ecological conditions is discussed.

Abstract The genetic diversity of Lumbricus rubellus Hoffm. earthworms collected in different parts of the Moscow and Kiev regions was studied by means of electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel, using the loci encoding unspecific esterases and generic proteins as biochemical-genetic markers. A considerable diversity of samples in all alleles of these loci was revealed. With respect to allele frequencies of the locus My1, the samples from the Moscow and Kiev regions formed two genetically distinct spatial groups. Within these groups, the samples were genetically heterogeneous, and each of them could be regarded as an individual population.

Titelübersetzung On temporal dynamics of morphological variations in the Black sea mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis lam.
Abstract Temporal variations in morphological characters of the shells were studied in 12 samples of mussels M. galloprovincialis Lam. from the Black Sea commercial collectors that belong to different generations. The samples were shown to be diverse in every studied character and the degree of characters' variability in the samples was different. The morphological diversity of samples diminished with age. Different generations from the same habitat had specific features of age-related variability expressed as different rates of age-related changes and direction and degree of variability. This effect is considered as an index of the influence of ecological conditions on the shell growth and formation.

Abstract A polymorphism of the total protein (MY) and nonspecific esterase (EST) patterns was revealed in the musculocutaneous sac of earthworm Lumbricus rubellus by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The revealed polymorphism is attributed to genetically determined codominant systems, each of which is controlled by the corresponding locus, My and Est, represented by two and four alleles, respectively. The allelic frequency distribution of both loci demonstrated genetic heterogeneity of four L. rubellus samples from Moscow and Moscow Region (311 individuals in total). Allelic frequencies of the revealed loci are proposed as genetic markers for monitoring L. rubellus generations in vermiculture.
