Abstract Eugenia Smagina (Евгeния Б. Смaгина) first published her grammar of the Old Nubian language in 1986 in Russian. For more than thirty years the work has remained untranslated, even though the late Gerald M. Browne affirmed that "this lucid, well-argued presentation should be available to all Nubiologists and ought therefore be translated into a western language." Slavicist José Andrés Alonso de la Fuente has prepared a first English translation of this concise but indispensable work, which forms a necessary counterpart to Browne's classic Old Nubian Grammar. The grammar is divided into sections on script, lexicon, morphology, and syntax, and is followed by the analysis of a sample text, known as The Miracle of St. Mēnas. Smagina's The Old Nubian Language provides an excellent first introduction into the grammar of this medieval Nilo-Saharan language

Abstract The human condition is linked to error in any activity that is performed, and the healthcare world is no exception. The origin of human error does not lie within the perversity of human nature, instead, it has its origins in latent failures in the healthcare environment and is a consequence of the processes and procedures applied. The science of the Human Factor deals with the application of knowledge to people (capabilities, characteristics and limitations), with the design and the management of the equipment they use and with the environments in which they work and the activities they carry out. Part of the Human Factor are the non-technical skills. These skills greatly influence people's behavior and, therefore, their performance and the quality of healthcare in a very complex socio-technical system.

Abstract Background: Several pelvic area cancers exhibit high incidence rates, and their surgical treatment can result in adverse effects such as urinary and fecal incontinence, significantly impacting patients' quality of life. Post-surgery incontinence is a significant concern, with prevalence rates ranging from 25 to 45% for urinary incontinence and 9-68% for fecal incontinence. Cancer survivors are increasingly turning to YouTube as a platform to connect with others, yet caution is warranted as misinformation is prevalent.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the information quality in YouTube videos about post-surgical incontinence after pelvic area cancer surgery.

Abstract Introduction: Air pollution is a current major health issue. The burden of airborne pollutants and aeroallergen levels varies throughout the year, as well as their interaction and consequences. Prenatal exposure during pregnancy has been associated with adverse perinatal outcomes. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of air pollutants on perinatal outcomes in patients with or without respiratory allergy.
Material and methods: Nested case-control retrospective study on 3006 pregnant women. Correlations between concentrations of common pollutants in each trimester of pregnancy and on average during the whole pregnancy and both gestational age at delivery and birthweight were studied. Pearson's correlation coefficient and binary logistic regression were used.
Results: In general, pollutants correlated more strongly with birthweight than with gestational age at delivery. Nine-month NO
Conclusions: Air pollutant concentrations, especially SO

Abstract Background: Prostate and colorectum cancers rank among the most common cancers, and incontinence is a significant postsurgical issue affecting the physical and psychological well-being of cancer survivors. Social media, particularly YouTube, has emerged as a vital source of health information. While YouTube offers valuable content, users must exercise caution due to potential misinformation.
Objective: This study aims to assess the quality of publicly available YouTube videos related to incontinence after pelvic cancer surgery.
Methods: A search on YouTube related to "Incontinence after cancer surgery" was performed, and 108 videos were analyzed. Multiple quality assessment tools (DISCERN, GQS, JAMA, PEMAT, and MQ-VET) and statistical analyses (descriptive statistics and intercorrelation tests) were used to evaluate the characteristics and popularity, educational value, quality, and reliability of these videos, relying on novel graphical representation techniques such as Sankey and Chord diagrams.
Results: Strong positive correlations were found among quality rating scales, emphasizing agreement. The performed graphical analysis reinforced the reliability and validity of quality assessments.
Conclusions: This study found strong correlations among five quality scales, suggesting their effectiveness in assessing health information quality. The evaluation of YouTube videos consistently revealed "high" quality content. Considering the source is mandatory when assessing quality, healthcare and academic institutions are reliable sources. Caution is advised with ad-containing videos. Future research should focus on policy improvements and tools to aid patients in finding high-quality health content.

Abstract Persistent HGF/Met signaling drives tumor growth and dissemination. Proteoglycans within the tumor microenvironment might control HGF availability and signaling by affecting its accessibility to Met (HGF receptor), likely defining whether acute or sustained HGF/Met signaling cues take place. Given that betaglycan (BG, also known as type III TGFβ receptor or TGFBR3), a multi-faceted proteoglycan TGFβ co-receptor, can be found within the tumor microenvironment, we addressed its hypothetical role in oncogenic HGF signaling. We found that HGF/Met promotes lung cancer and endothelial cells migration via PI3K and mTOR. This effect was enhanced by recombinant soluble betaglycan (solBG) via a mechanism attributable to its glycosaminoglycan chains, as a mutant without them did not modulate HGF effects. Moreover, soluble betaglycan extended the effect of HGF-induced phosphorylation of Met, Akt, and Erk, and membrane recruitment of the RhoGEF P-Rex1. Data-mining analysis of lung cancer patient datasets revealed a significant correlation between high
