Abstract Abstract Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are involved in tumorigenesis and progression, however, their role in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is not well understood. In this study, we examined the expression levels, mutations, and clinical significance of HDACs in DLBCL. Additionally, we investigated the therapeutic potential of Chidamide, a novel HDAC inhibitor, to provide scientific evidence for targeting HDACs in DLBCL patients. We extracted transcriptome data of DLBCLs––including 47 lymph node samples and 337 whole-blood-cell controls––from The Cancer Genome Atlas. Bioinformatic analyses of HDAC expression, mutation, and correlation with the clinical significance of DLBCL patients were performed with the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis, GENEMANIA, and web-based software including cBioPortal and WebGestalt. To examine the therapeutic effect of Chidamide, DLBCL cell lines (WSU-DLCL-2 and DB cells) were employed. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were analyzed with Cell Counting Kit-8 and flow cytometry assays. The impact of Chidamide treatment was also analyzed by RNA sequencing of treated DB cells. Western blot was used to explore the molecular mechanism of the cytotoxicity of Chidamide on DLBCL cell lines. The expression of some HDACs (HDAC1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9) were significantly higher in the lymph node samples of DLBCL than that in whole-blood-cell controls. Moreover, we found that the mutation rate of HDACs was also higher in DLBCL tissues, although the overall survival of DLBCL patients was not associated with HDAC expression. Chidamide was found to have a cytotoxic effect on DLBCL cells in a dose-dependent manner, while transcriptome analysis and western blot revealed that using it for treatment impacted several biological processes, including PI3K/AKT signaling, mTOR signaling, the cell cycle, and apoptosis pathways. Alterations of HDAC genes, including enhanced expression and mutations, are positively related to DLBCL. Targeting HDACs with specific inhibitors such as Chidamide ...

Abstract Advanced manufacturing is the pillar for building a modern economic system. We measured the level of high-quality development of manufacturing (HQDM) in China, and found that it has gone through the three stages of expansion, cultivation, and promotion. Spatially, it is characterized as "high in the east, low in the west" and "fast in the west, slow in the east", and presents non-equilibrium characteristics. To overcome the subjective bias introduced by artificially set clubs, we utilize a data-driven nonlinear time-varying factor model for clustering into four convergent clubs, where provinces with higher intensity of environmental regulation and environmental preference tend to move closer to the clubs with a higher level of HQDM. We reveal the convergence patterns and regional differences in HQDM, which provides a new perspective for determining the trends of high-quality manufacturing development, thus allowing for policy recommendations targeted at narrowing the manufacturing development gap.

Abstract Depression is a common psychiatric disorder under the category of depression syndrome in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory. Meanwhile, Xiaochaihu Decoction is a classical TCM formulation regulating Qi, resolving and dissipating stagnation. Clinically, the formulation has long been adopted to treat Shaoyang stagnation syndrome for depression syndrome. In this review, potential targets of action and the corresponding pathways of Xiaochaihu Decoction are explored for depression treatment via network pharmacology. The article also systematically summarizes the active components and pharmacological mechanisms of seven Chinese herbal medicine components in Xiaochaihu Decoction and guides the future study direction of Xiaochaihu Decoction, which may serve a promising treatment for depression.

Abstract Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has ravaged the world since December 2019. Up to now, it is still prevalent around the world. Vaccines are an important means to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce severe disease and mortality. Currently, different types of novel coronavirus vaccines are still being developed and improved, and the relevant vaccines that have been approved for marketing have been widely vaccinated around the world. As vaccination coverage continues to grow, concerns about the efficacy and safety of vaccines after real-world use have grown. Some clinical studies have shown that vaccine effectiveness is closely related to antibody response after vaccination. Among them, the advantages of COVID-19 messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine, such as better adaptability to variant strains and better immune response ability, have attracted great attention. However, different populations with different genders, ages, previous COVID-19 infection history, underlying diseases and treatments will show different antibody responses after mRNA vaccination, which will affect the protection of the vaccine. Based on this, this paper reviews the reports related severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 mRNA vaccines, and summarizes the effectiveness of vaccines in different populations and different disease states and looked forward to the precise vaccination strategy of the vaccine in the future.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the mechanism,
Methods: We encountered a male patient with stage IV rectal cancer who experienced acute hemolysis during the ninth cycle of treatment with XELOX combined with nivolumab and cetuximab. The patient's blood samples were collected and tested for the presence of oxaliplatin or nivolumab antibodies on red blood cells.
Results: Direct antiglobulin testing of red blood cells incubated with oxaliplatin was strongly positive, whereas cells incubated with nivolumab were negative, which suggested that oxaliplatin was responsible for the hemolysis. After short-term highdose glucocorticoid treatment, human normal immunoglobulin infusion, and other symptomatic treatments, the patient's condition rapidly improved, and he continued to receive nivolumab treatment without further hemolysis.
Conclusion: Attention should be paid to the possibility of acute hemolysis when using oxaliplatin and nivolumab, and it is important to recognize and manage this adverse event early. We detected oxaliplatin-related antibodies on the surface of red blood cells

Abstract Purpose: To investigate the proportion of zonulopathy in patients with age-related cataract, and further explore demographics and ocular characteristics, as well as potential risk factors.
Methods: Hospital-based, observational, cross-sectional study. We enrolled consecutive patients who were 45 years or older and diagnosed with age-related cataract and underwent surgery between October 2022 and April 2023 at the Division of Cataract, Beijing Tongren Hospital. Zonulopathy was diagnosed based on intraoperative signs. We calculated the total proportion, age, and gender specific proportions of zonulopathy. We compared the demographic and ocular characteristics between the cases with and without zonulopathy. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were employed to determine the risk factors associated with the presence of zonulopathy in patients with age-related cataract.
Results: A total of 640 age-related cataract patients with a median age of 70.0 (64.0-77.0) were enrolled. Zonulopathy was diagnosed intraoperatively in 70 patients (10.9%). Compared with the patients having no zonulopathy, those with zonulopathy were likely to be older (
Conclusion: Zonulopathy in age-related cataract patients is not an uncommon finding. Clinicians should be mindful of zonulopathy in patient population with advanced age and shallower ACD.

Abstract Background: Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. We aimed to investigate the role of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) in the changes of cardiac structures in OSA rabbits treated by mandibular advancement device (MAD).
Methods: Eighteen male New Zealand white rabbits aged 6 months were randomly divided into three groups: control group, group OSA and group MAD. Hyaluronate gel was injected into the soft palate of the rabbits in group OSA and group MAD to induce OSA. The cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) of the upper airway and polysomnography (PSG) was performed to ensure successful modelling. CBCT and PSG were applied again to detect the effects of MAD treatment. All animals were induced to sleep in a supine position for 4-6 h a day for 8 weeks. Then the levels of NF-κB, Interleukin 6 (IL-6), Interleukin 10 (IL-10) and the proportion of myocardial fibrosis (MF) were detected.
Results: The higher activation of NF-κB, IL-6 and IL-10 were found in the OSA group than in the control group, leading to the increase of collagen fibres compared with the control group. Furthermore, the apnoea-hypopnea index (AHI) was positively correlated with the above factors. There were no significant differences between group MAD and the control group.
Conclusion: The NF-κB pathway was activated in the myocardium of OSA rabbits, which accelerated the development of MF. Early application of MAD could reduce the activation of NF-κB in the myocardium and prevent the development of MF.
