Abstract During drilling operations, stuck pipe occurs from time to time due to various reasons such as continuous changes of the formation lithology, failure to return the drill cuttings in time, shrinkage or collapse caused by soaking the formation with drilling fluid, and steps in the well wall caused by the drill-down. After the stuck pipe, the identification of the stuck pipe type can only be guessed by manual experience due to the jamming of the drill stem downhole, which lacks a scientific basis. Moreover, there is a lack of studies on the stuck pipe type. Therefore, scientific and accurate identification of the stuck pipe type is of great significance for timely unsticking and resuming drilling. In this paper, based on the friction torque rigid rod model of a3D well track, we obtained the degree of deviation of measured parameters from the normal trend, which can scientifically evaluate the degree of stuck pipe. Based on the SAX morphological symbolic aggregation approximation method, we obtained the changing trend of measured parameters during the stuck pipe, which can accurately describe the change laws of characteristic parameters during the stuck pipe. Based on the statistical characterization laws of different stuck pipe types in Sichuan and Chongqing, we established the knowledge graph of stuck pipe types, which can correlate with the complex knowledge of different stuck pipe types. The stuck pipe type can be identified according to the degree of stuck pipe, the changing trend of the characteristic parameters of stuck pipe, and the knowledge graph of stuck pipe types. The results show that the method can combine digital twins and the knowledge graph to accurately identify the stuck pipe type and provide a basis for taking targeted deconstruction measures.

Abstract The traditional toolface adjustment of a bent-housing motor is time-consuming and laborious. For the goal of rapid and accurate toolface adjustment, this paper presents an intelligent toolface adjustment method based on the drill string dynamics model and the BP (back propagation) neural network, optimized by a GA (genetic algorithm). Firstly, for the mode of rotating the drill string at the wellhead to change the downhole toolface, the drill string dynamics model is used to calculate the toolface change value. Then, the actual toolface change value is taken as the output data; the calculated toolface change value and the factors that have a significant impact on the change value of the toolface are taken as the input parameters; and the GA-BP neural network is adopted to fit the relationship between the input parameters and the output data. For the mode of changing the toolface by changing the WOB (weight on bit), the WOB change value and other parameters that cause the toolface to change were taken as the input data and the toolface change value was taken as the output data; the relationship between the WOB and the toolface was fitted with the GA-BP neural network. The results show that the prediction of absolute error under the mode of adjusting the toolface by rotating the drill string at the wellhead is within 10.9783°, and the prediction of absolute error under the mode of adjusting the toolface by changing the WOB is within 18.8833°. The intelligent models established under the two modes can meet the requirements of toolface control accuracy. Using the established intelligent prediction model, the toolface can be adjusted to the required value range at one time, which can improve drilling efficiency, and reduce labor intensity and the dependence on the experience of on-site personnel.

Abstract As one of the three major urban agglomerations in China, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region has strong economic strength but its ecological fragility is very prominent. To pursue the comprehensive development of economy and ecology, it is very important to analyze the ecological environment in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. Here, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region was selected as the research area, and 19 indicators were selected to construct an evolution system based on the PSRM model. The temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of ecological vulnerability in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region were explored by combining the order relation method, CRITIC method, Theil index, and hot spot analysis, and the influencing factors were calculated via geographic detector. The results showed that:① the ecological vulnerability first increased and then decreased in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region. The vulnerable areas showed a northeast-southwest trend, and the ecological environment in the northeast and southwest regions was better than that in the central and southern regions. The area of slight vulnerability in 2014 increased by 6803.01 km

Abstract The main forms of gas kicks into the wellbore during drilling in fractured carbonate reservoirs are underbalanced pressure and gravity displacement. These two forms of gas kicks have different mechanisms of gas entry into the wellbore and different well control measures, which require the timely identification of the type of gas kick when it occurs. A two-phase flow model with a wellbore-formation coupling was developed, based on the gas kick rate models. The variation characteristics of the bottomhole gas influx rate, the wellbore free gas, the bottomhole pressure, the bottomhole pressure change rate, the pit gain and the outlet flow rate during an underbalanced pressure gas kick and a gravity displacement gas kick, were compared and analyzed. Combining the dynamic time warping (DTW) and the wellbore-formation, coupled with a two-phase flow model, an identification method of the gas kick type, based on the DTW was proposed. Following the detection of the gas kick, the identification is performed by calculating the DTW distance between the surface parameter time series, obtained from the two-phase flow simulation and the surface parameter time series, measured in real time. The field example results show that the method can identify the type of gas kick, based on the real-time surface measurement parameters and provide a basis for taking targeted well control measures.

Abstract Background: Autoantibodies targeting node of Ranvier proteins are rarely reported in China.
Case presentation: We present the case of a 66-year-old Chinese man who concomitantly developed chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy with anti-contactin-associated protein 1 antibody and bile duct hamartomas in liver, which are rarely reported in China. The man presented with chronic progressive sensory and motor symptoms, bilateral periphery facial paralysis, and protein-cell dissociation of cerebrospinal fluid. Nerve conduction study indicated demyelinating neuropathy. Enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the liver showed diffuse intrahepatic lesions, which were considered as bile duct hamartomas in the liver. He was suspected as having chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and treated with intravenous immunoglobulin and prednisone. However, his condition got worse. One month later, he was diagnosed with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy associated with anti-contactin-associated protein 1 antibody. He received high-dose methylprednisolone, followed by standard plasma exchange and rituximab therapy. His sensory and motor manifestations were significantly improved at 1 year of follow-up.
Conclusions: This case reminds clinicians to be aware of antiparanodal antibodies, which are associated with specific phenotypes and therapeutic response.

Abstract Improving wheat grain yield plays a significant role in ensuring global food security. Wheat production could be increased by the genetic improvement of wheat genotypes where delayed senescence with enhanced post‐anthesis capacity and staygreen traits could have an important role. In this study, chlorophyll a fluorescence (ChlF) rise kinetics from the early until late senescence of flag leaves, grain yield and other agro‐morphological characteristics were compared for three winter wheat advanced lines (Osk.4.312/10‐18, Osk.4.330/6‐18 and Osk.4.354/12‐18) under natural drought conditions. The differences between lines were observed when considering the heading date which was 1 and 4 days earlier for the line Osk.4.354/12‐18, than lines Osk.4.312/10‐18 and Osk.4.330/6‐18, respectively. Furthermore, line Osk.4.354/12‐18 had the highest test weight (kg hl⁻¹), while line Osk.4.330/6‐18 showed a tendency of decreased grain yield, compared to the other two lines. Analysis of ChlF transients and several JIP‐test parameters indicated that all three lines had a generally similar course of changes in the photosynthetic performance of flag leaves during senescence under drought conditions. However, at the point when a decrease in photosynthetic performance was initiated, it was slightly less intensive in line Osk.4.354/12‐18 accompanied by longer preservation of functionality and connectivity of PSII units, than in the other two lines, which contributed to its better agronomical performance. These results indicated that even delicate variations in the functioning of the photosynthetic apparatus of the flag leaf during grain filling were agronomically important, especially when plants were exposed to drought stress, and could be used to differentiate otherwise similar wheat genotypes. Even small genotype‐specific differences in the photosynthetic performance of senescing flag leaves, along with earlier heading dates, could assist in the selection of genotypes with a better ability to cope with unfavourable environmental conditions.

Abstract The drilling pressure relief technology is an effective way to reduce the accumulation of elastic energy in the tunnel envelope, which can reduce the risk of regional ground pressure occurrence. However, there is a lack of theoretical guidance on which drilling parameter has the greatest degree of influence on the effectiveness of pressure relief. The uniaxial compression tests were conducted to study the relationships between drilling parameters (the diameter, depth, and spacing) and the mechanical properties and deformation modulus of specimens. The results show that: (1) The drilling diameter (DDR) and drilling depth (DDH) of single-hole specimens negatively correlate with the peak-failure strength and deformation modulus, while the drilling spacing (DS) of double-hole specimens positively correlates with the peak-failure strength and deformation modulus. It shows that the borehole diameter has a more significant effect on the decompression effect. (2) With the help of the Grey Relational Analysis, the factors affecting the peak-failure strength and deformation modulus of the drilled specimens were ranked in significance. From the largest to the smallest, they are DDR, followed by DDH and DS. (3) The role of the pressure relief mechanism is to transfer the high stress in the shallow part of the roadway to the deep part, reduce the peak strength of destruction and deformation modulus of the peripheral rock in the drilled section, so that the characteristics of the mechanical behavior of the rock are significantly weakened, and the range of the area of the drilled hole decompression is enlarged. During the loading of the borehole, the borehole stress field dominates in the early stage, and cracking starts near the borehole along the direction perpendicular to the direction of maximum principal stress (horizontal direction). In the later stage, the maximum principal stress field dominates and vertical cracks with large widths appear. During crack expansion, the plastic energy dissipation effect is enhanced and the deep impact conduction path is weakened, thus protecting the roadway. This study determined the significance of the pressure relief effect of different drilling parameters, which can guide reasonable modifications of drilling parameters in the field.

Abstract A novel, to the best of our knowledge, mirror-assisted binocular stereo digital image correlation (DIC) system is proposed for the reconstruction of the overall contour, thickness, and strain measurement of the object. First, the angle between the two plane mirrors is adjusted until two virtual images and two real images can be formed in the mirrors. Then, the adjustable speckle size and definition characteristics of the projection speckle technology are fully utilized to realize the precise measurement of the mirror plane. Finally, a 3D contour reconstruction experiment and a dynamic stretching experiment are conducted to verify the proposed method. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve a 360° omnidirectional deformation measurement, and the 3D reconstruction of the object with complex contours has a relatively ideal reconstruction effect. According to the virtual image, the thickness of the conventional specimen can be completed easily, and the coordinates of the front and rear surfaces need not be subtracted. The dynamic strain can be calculated separately from the front and rear surfaces of the standard specimen and can be realized in the dynamic tensile experiment. Compared with the existing binocular DIC system, the proposed method can provide more valid data with guaranteed excellent results. It provides a better implementation method for omnidirectional measurement, thickness, and stress-strain calculation of the object.

Abstract Aim: To report the myopia-controlling effect of repeated low-level red-light (RLRL) therapy in patients with Stickler syndrome (STL), an inherited collagenic disease typically presenting with early onset myopia.
Methods: Three STL children, aged 3, 7, and 11y, received RLRL therapy throughout the follow-up period of 17, 3, and 6mo, respectively after exclusion of fundus anomalies. Data on best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure, cycloplegic subjective refraction, ocular biometrics, scanning laser ophthalmoscope, optical coherence tomography, genetic testing, systemic disease history, and family history were recorded.
Results: At the initiation of the RLRL therapy, the spherical equivalent (SE) of 6 eyes from 3 patients ranged from -3.75 to -20.38 D, axial length (AL) were from 23.88 to 30.68 mm, and BCVA were from 0.4 to 1.0 (decimal notation). Myopia progression of all six eyes slowed down after RLRL therapy. AL in five out of the six eyes shortened -0.07 to -0.63 mm. No side effects were observed.
Conclusion: Three cases of STL whose progression of myopic shift and AL elongation are successfully reduced and even reversed after RLRL therapy.
