Abstract Background. Web-based education programs are essential in every field of learning, and in nursing coursework, they can contribute towards behavioral development. It is found that emerging approach of web-based nursing programs is overpowering the traditional education methods and provides flexibility in learning and training programs. Therefore, it is considered as a promising medium of learning which can take over the traditional methods because of its effectiveness. Objective. A systematic review and meta-analysis was performed for analysis of efficiency and effectiveness of web-based nursing education. This study is aimed at evaluating the evidences which evaluate the effectiveness of the web-based nursing education programs. Material and Methods. Studies were selected from 2008 to 2020 available from various global databases like PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, ProQuest, and Cochrane Library. Results. Five studies were selected for analysis where the results demonstrated no significant difference in the effectiveness of use of web-based nursing educational programs. Conclusion. More evidences are required for supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of use of web-based programs for nursing education. Hence, more research is required for evaluating the length of nursing education, evaluating practice-based clinical aspects like success ratio for outcomes of study, type of patients handled, and severity of cases handled for better outcomes.

Abstract To confront the related problems of environmental protection, energy saving, and carbon reduction, sustainability has been a prominent issue for enterprises seeking to meet the requirements of the Earth Summit’ sustainable development goals (SDGs). Basically, sustainability evaluation of enterprises must be considered from environmental, social, and economic perspectives, recognized as quality requirements. Numerous enterprises, especially for international ports, must pay attention to these requirements in expressing their corporate social responsibility (CSR) for decreasing marine pollution. Practically, the three requirements may be dependent under uncertain environments, and rationally evaluated by fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (FMCDM) with dependent evaluation criteria (DEC). In other words, evaluating port sustainability, containing location expanding, should belong to FMCDM with DEC. For DEC under uncertain environments, fuzzy extension of the analytic network process (ANP) is a feasible solution to solve the above problems. However, fuzzy computations of ANP are heavily complicated; thus, we desire to combine quality function deployment (QFD) with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) under the interval-valued fuzzy environment (IVFE) into a hybrid method for evaluating port sustainability. In numerous multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) efforts, AHP was often extended into FMCDM to encompass the imprecision and vagueness of data, but the extension was properly used for FMCDM with independent evaluation criteria (IDEC). Herein, QFD is utilized to express the dependent relationships between criteria, and thus transforms IDEC into DEC for the evaluation of port sustainability. Through the hybrid method, QFD is combined with AHP to replace ANP under IVFE, the complicated ties of ANP-corresponding interval-valued fuzzy numbers (IVFNs) are overcome, and the problem of evaluating port sustainability is rationally solved.

Abstract Cholecystokinin 1 receptor (CCK1R) is the only G protein coupled receptor that is activated in type II photodynamic action, but whether this is a property common to both mammalian and avian species is not known. In this work, pancreatic acini were isolated from the rat, mouse, and Peking duck, and photodynamic CCK1R activation was examined. Isolated pancreatic acini were exposed to photosensitizer sulphonated aluminum phthalocyanine (SALPC) and photodynamic action elicited by a brief light-emitting diode (LED 675 nm) pulse (1.5 min); photodynamic CCK1R activation was assessed by Fura-2 fluorescent calcium imaging. Photodynamic action was found to induce persistent calcium oscillations in rat, mouse, and Peking duck pancreatic acini, with the sensitivity order of mouse > rat > Peking duck. Photodynamically-activated CCK1R could be inhibited reversibly by CCK1R antagonist devazepide (1 μM); photodynamic CCK1R activation was blocked by pre-incubation with 1 O 2 quencher Trolox C (300 µM). The sensitivity of photodynamic CCK1R activation was correlated with the increasing size of the disordered region in intracellular loop 3. These data suggest that photodynamic CCK1R activation is conserved in both mammalian and avian species, as evidenced by the presence of the photodynamic activation motif “YFM” in transmembrane domain 3.

Abstract The elderly dependency ratio in China has increased from 10.7% in 2003 to 17.8% in 2019, and there may be a link between the widespread withdrawal of family entrepreneurship in society and the increased dependency burden. Based on China Family Panel Studies, we empirically examine the impact of dependency burden on household entrepreneurial exit behavior. We find that the likelihood of household exit from entrepreneurial activity increases as the population ages. Compared to active exit from entrepreneurship, dependency burden mainly induces failure exit from household entrepreneurship. In addition to reducing physical capital accumulation and labor supply, dependency burden also reduces the household workforce’s mental and physical health, leading to the entrepreneurial exit. The application of digital technology can mitigate the negative effects of dependency burden in household entrepreneurship. The mitigating effect of digital technology will be enhanced with the deepening of the application. Therefore, government and academia need to pay attention to the negative effects of dependency burden on the sustainability of household entrepreneurship.

Abstract The wide application of plastics has led to the ubiquitous presence of nanoplastics and microplastics in terrestrial environments. However, few studies have focused on the mechanism underlying the effects of plastic particles on soil microbiomes and resistomes, especially the differences between nanoplastics and microplastics. This study investigated the microbiome and resistome in soil exposed to polystyrene microplastics (mPS) or nanoplastics (nPS) through 16S rRNA and shotgun metagenomic sequencing. Distinct microbial communities were observed between mPS and nPS exposure groups, and nPS exposure significantly changed the bacterial composition even at the lowest amended rate (0.01%, w/w). The abundance of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in nPS exposure (1%) was 0.26 copies per cell, significantly higher than that in control (0.21 copies per cell) and mPS exposure groups (0.21 copies per cell). It was observed that nanoplastics, bacterial community, and mobile genetic elements (MGEs) directly affected the ARG abundance in nPS exposure groups, while in mPS exposure groups, only MGEs directly induced the change of ARGs. Streptomyces was the predominant host for multidrug in the control and mPS exposure, whereas the primary host was changed to Bacillus in nPS exposure. Additionally, exposure to nPS induced several bacterial hosts to exhibit possible multi-antibiotic resistance characteristics. Our results indicated that the effects of plastic particles on the soil microbial community were size-dependent, and nano-sized plastic particles exhibited more substantial impacts. Both microplastics and nanoplastics promoted ARG transfer and diversified their bacterial hosts. These findings bear implications for the regulation of plastic waste and ARGs.

Abstract Stock ranking prediction is an effective method for achieving a high investment return and plays a crucial role in investment decisions. However, previous studies have overlooked the interconnections among stocks or have solely relied on predefined graphs for stock relationship information. The predefined graphs may not capture all possible relationships and may not be suitable for describing dynamic relationships. To address these issues, we propose a Static-Dynamic hypergraph neural network framework based on Residual Learning (SD-RL). Compared with traditional methods, SD-RL has the following advantages. (1) Stocks are no longer treated as isolated entities; instead, their static and dynamic relationship information is taken into account. (2) Leveraging the data-driven methodology, SD-RL autonomously learns both the static graph and dynamic hypergraph through dedicated graph learning and hypergraph learning modules, respectively. (3) By employing residual learning, various latent relationship information flows are mined, which enhances the stock embedding’s capacity to capture trends. Extensive experiments on the real data verify the effectiveness of our proposed methods.

Abstract Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of music therapy in the treatment of tinnitus.
Methods: Three English databases (PUBMED, Embase, Web of Science) and three Chinese databases (CNKI, VIP, and Wanfang) were searched, and eligible articles were selected according to the set inclusion criteria. Clinical efficacy was used as the primary outcome, and each score was used as the secondary outcome. Using RevMan5.3 software for statistical analysis.
    Results: A total of 14 studies involving 1239 tinnitus patients were included. The results of the meta-analysis showed that music therapy had a certain clinical efficacy in the treatment of tinnitus, but there was no significant difference compared with the control group (OR = 1.00, 95%CI =0.83-1.22; P = 1.00). However, music therapy significantly improved THI score (MD = -6.77, 95 % CI = -9.62 to -3.92; P < 0.00001), TSQ (MD = -2.80, 95 % CI = -3.23 to -2.36; P < 0.00001), tinnitus loudness (MD = -3.90, 95 % CI = -6.58 to -1.23; P = 0.004), VAS score (MD = -1.11, 95 % CI = -2.11 to -0.11; P = 0.03) and TQ score (MD = -8.36, 95 % CI = -11.10 to -5.62; P < 0.001).
Conclusion: Music therapy is an effective method for the treatment of tinnitus, which can improve the THI score, tinnitus severity, VAS score, and TQ score and reduce the loudness of tinnitus. Due to the low quality of the included literature, the current conclusions need to be further verified by more and higher-quality studies.
