Abstract Computer-aided surgical planning has been widely used to increase the safety and predictability of surgery. The validation of the target of surgical planning to surgical outcomes on a patient-specific model is an important issue. The aim of this research was to develop a robust superposition method to assess the deviation of planning and outcome by using the symmetrical characteristic of the affected target. The optimal symmetry plane (OSP) of an object is usually used to evaluate the degree of symmetry of an object. We proposed a refined OSP-based contouring method to transfer a complex three-dimensional superposition operation into two dimensions. We compared the typical iterative closest point (ICP) algorithm with the refined OSP-based contouring method and examined the differences between them. The results using the OSP-based method were much better than the traditional method. As for processing time, the OSP-based contouring method was 11 times faster than the ICP method overall. The proposed method was not affected by the metallic artifacts from medical imaging or geometric changes due to surgical intervention. This technique can be applied for post-operative assessment, such as quantifying the differences between surgical targets and outcomes as well as performing long-term medical follow-up.

Abstract By controlling the benefits and drawbacks of informatization construction (IC) and development, evaluating the level of education informatization (EI) development can aid in university administration and decision-making. This work develops an evaluation method for the University Information Construction (UIC) based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Particle Swarm Optimization-based back-Propagation Neural Network (PSO-BPNN) algorithm to address the fuzziness issue in grade evaluation in the IC. Firstly, a set of data-driven evaluation index systems of the UIC effect is constructed with 16 second-class indicators and four first-class indicators of infrastructure, resource management, information management, and safeguard measures. The AHP method is used to determine the weight of the first-class indicators of the IC model. Secondly, from two perspectives of inertia weight and learning factor, the PSO-BPNN algorithm is designed to fit and analyze the level of UIC. The experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed model’s training impact is better, reflecting UIC’s effectiveness more accurately.

Abstract Background: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a common mental disorder that varies greatly in manifestation and causes much distress to individuals. We describe a case in which a Chinese woman with OCD became delusional after childbirth, and discuss the possible phenomenological and psychological alterations.
Case summary: A 27-year-old woman presented to the Psychiatry Department of our hospital with obsessions and compulsions. After taking medication, her symptoms were alleviated. Three years later, during her pregnancy, the obsessions returned and even progressed into paranoid delusions after childbirth. After multiple adjustments of treatment along with several fluctuations, she finally achieved remission and gained reasonable insight.
Conclusion: This case suggests that the patient with OCD appeared to move along a continuum of beliefs, and highlights the importance of effective intervention during pregnancy, which would exert a significant impact on postpartum exacerbation outcomes.

Abstract Abstract As integrated energy systems (IES) continue to undergo development and advancement, the degree of coupling between subsystems and their complexity are also on the rise, posing a challenge for the reliability assessment of such systems. The conventional method is unable to explain the interaction between subsystems as well as system‐level phenomena. The complex network theory is needed to provide a deeper analysis. Firstly, this paper introduces the basic concept and analysis tools of complex network theory. Secondly, the topological network model and the identification indexes of weak links for the IES are summarized as the basis for reliability assessment. Then, the reliability assessment indexes and assessment methods are sorted out for the IES based on the complex network theory; and further, the measures to optimize the reliability of the IES are put forward. Finally, from the perspective of complex network theory, directions for future research on the reliability assessment of IES are suggested.

Abstract Wind parameters play a vital role in studying atmospheric dynamics and climate change. In this study, a vehicle-mounted coherent wind measurement Lidar (CWML) with a wavelength of 1.55 µm is demonstrated based on a four-beam vertical azimuth display (VAD) scanning mode, and a method to estimate wind vector from power spectrum is proposed. The feasibility of the application of wind profile Lidar in vehicles is verified by calibration tests, comparison experiments, and continuous observation experiments, successively. The effective detection height of Lidar can reach 3 km. In contrasting experiments, the correlation coefficients of the magnitude and direction of horizontal wind speed measured by vehicle-mounted Lidar and fixed Lidar are 0.94 and 0.91, respectively. The experimental results reveal that the accuracies of wind speed and direction measurements with the vehicle-mounted CWML are better than 0.58 m/s and 4.20°, respectively. Furthermore, to understand the role of the wind field in the process of energy and material transport further, a proton-transfer reaction time-of-flight mass spectrometer (PTR-TOF-MS) is utilized to measure the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Relevant experimental results indicate that the local meteorological conditions, including wind speed and humidity, influence the VOC concentrations.

Abstract The Android system cannot perform fine-grained permission management for TPLs (third-party libraries) in applications. TPLs can use all permissions of the host application, which poses a threat to users and system security. In order to solve this problem, this paper studies the underlying principles of multiple modules in the framework and kernel layers of the Android system. We construct a fine-grained access control scheme for native libraries through technologies such as isolation environment creation, remote function call, and dynamic permission management. We also implement the prototype system. The experimental results show that our proposed scheme can effectively assist developers in managing the permissions of the native libraries in a fine-grained manner and curb the suspicious privileged behaviors of the native libraries. Meanwhile, our proposed scheme is adaptable for high-version Android systems with reasonable overhead, and it will not break the current Android security mechanisms.

Abstract This paper assessed the service life of RC bridges subjected to carbonation under a changing climate based on time-dependent reliability analysis. First, a simplified carbonation model and the corresponding incremental method were briefly reviewed. Then, the fatigue damage prediction model and climate model were briefly introduced. Afterward, the Monte Carlo simulation-based time-dependent reliability analysis procedure for service life assessments was presented, which integrated the carbonation depth prediction model, fatigue damage prediction model and climate model. Based on the analysis procedure, a comprehensive case study was conducted to estimate the effects of climate change, fatigue damage, concrete cover thickness and concrete grade on the service life under different reliability levels. The case study showed that the service life under a reliability level of 2 is around half of that under the reliability level of 1. Under the reliability level of 1.5, the service life under RCP8.5 (a high emission scenario defined by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) can be 28 years shorter than that under no climate changes. The service life at girder top undergoing compressive fatigue damage can be 49% shorter than that without fatigue damage and 25 years shorter than that at girder bottom undergoing tensile fatigue damage. The service life at girder top with a concrete cover thickness of 45 mm can reach 2.6 times that with a concrete cover thickness of 25 mm. The service life of C50 concrete can reach approximately 2−3 times that of C30 concrete. These findings inform civil engineers that for existing RC bridges, the effects of climate change and fatigue damage should be properly considered when the remaining service life of RC bridges is concerned. Moreover, for planned RC bridges, higher concrete grade and thicker concrete cover are two effective choices to achieve a longer service life.

Abstract Cholangiocarcinoma is a general term for intrahepatic and extrahepatic malignant tumors deriving in the biliary system. According to the location, it is divided into intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, hilar cholangiocarcinoma, and distal cholangiocarcinoma. Progressive cholangiocarcinoma yields poor outcomes with radiotherapy; therefore, there is an urgent need for new therapeutic breakthroughs. Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy brings the treatment for cancer into a new field, with the use of drugs targeting PD-1/PD-L1 and CTLA-4 considerably extending the survival of patients with melanoma, lung cancer, and other solid tumors. The FDA has approved the application of pembrolizumab for solid tumors with high microsatellite instability and defective mismatch repair, including cholangiocarcinoma. Moreover, the combination of ICIs with chemotherapy and radiation therapy showed good promise. The aim of the present study was to review the application of ICIs in the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma and to summarize the reported individualized immunotherapy-based protocols and ongoing clinical trials for clinical reference.
