    Abstract Bringing together perspectives is rarely an easy task. By assembling researchers from cognitive and cultural traditions to discuss their reciprocal research in the field of psychology of religion, we thought that we will end up with an ecumenical conclusion, everyone being convinced that the other perspective will enrich her or his approach in the future. In this introduction, our objective is to show that it was not exactly the case and, by writing a two-voices introduction, to understand why we were eventually not so sure that we were all studying the same object.

    Abstract In April 2016, Armin, an asylum seeker in a village of Switzerland, set himself alight in the public square of the town, one of a few cases reported across Europe. He performed the act following a denied request for asylum and was saved by bystanders. We present the results of two qualitative interviews conducted with Armin, his translator and his roommate following the incident. The act is theorized through the lens of a dialogical analysis focusing on the concept of social recognition. The notion of trauma is considered as a key mediating mechanism, theorized as creating ruptures in time, memory, language, and social connections to an Other. We conclude this communicative act to represent both "being-toward-death" and a relational striving toward life; a "destruction as the cause of coming into being."

    Abstract Robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) involves training processes and challenges that differ from open or laparoscopic surgery, particularly regarding the possibilities of observation and embodied guidance. The video recording and the dual-console system creates a potential opportunity for participation. Our research, conducted within the department of visceral surgery of a big Swiss, public, academic hospital, uses a methodology based on the co-analysis of video recordings with surgeons in self-confrontation interviews, to investigate the teaching activity of the lead surgeon supervising a surgeon in training at the dual console. Three short sequences have been selected for the paper. Our analysis highlights the skills-in-construction of the surgeon in training regarding communication with the operating team, fluency of working with three hands, and awareness of the whole operating site. It also shows the divergent necessities of enabling verbalization for professional training, while ensuring a quiet and efficient environment for medical performance. To balance these requirements, we argue that dedicated briefing and debriefing sessions may be particularly effective; we also suggest that the self-confrontation video technique may be valuable to support the verbalization on both the mentor's and the trainee's side during such debriefing, and to enhance the mentor's reflexivity regarding didactic choices.

    Abstract Background: This paper reports on two case studies conducted by the Activity Clinic team to support the prevention of Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs) in the workplace. Research so far qualifies WRMSDs as multifactorial and organizational pathologies. It has also demonstrated that in situ clinical analysis of the work activity improves the understanding of WRMSDs and their long-term prevention.
    Objective: In the two cases reported here (one in the car industry and the other among gravediggers in a large French city), the interventionist framework combined ergonomic observations, biomechanical monitoring, and a developmental methodology called Cross Self-Confrontation (CSC). The goal was to help workers and managers reflect on their work constraints, the impact of those constraints on health, and the possibility of transforming the work.
    Method: Volunteers among the workers were prompted to engage in collective re-thinking of their work based on video-recordings and monitoring of their physical activity. In the CSC dialogues, biomechanical or ergonomic quantitative representations of the work activity were transformed by the researchers and the workers into argumentation and analysis tools for understanding and prevention of WRMSDs. CSC interviews were recorded and analyzed to track the dynamics of collective elaboration--both conceptual and practical--on WRMSDs prevention.
    Results: CSC discussions helped workers and managers transform their views on health, activity, and work constraints, and experiment with alternatives for health protection. The dialogical framework and quantitative representations were instrumental in the process of collective re-conceptualization of conflicts in the work activity and of resources for its transformation.
    Conclusion: This research demonstrates how the integration of biomechanical and ergonomic mediations in the CSC framework promotes WRMSDs prevention in the workplace. This integration supports discussions within work teams and across organizational levels on work dimensions, which may lead to alternatives supporting health.

    Abstract Citizen science is a growing field of research and practice, generating new knowledge and understanding through the collaboration of citizens in scientific research. As the field expands, it is becoming increasingly important to consider its potential to foster education and learning opportunities. Although progress has been made to support learning in citizen science projects, as well as to facilitate citizen science in formal and informal learning environments, challenges still arise. This paper identifies a number of dilemmas facing the field-from competing scientific goals and learning outcomes, differing underlying ontologies and epistemologies, diverging communication strategies, to clashing values around advocacy and activism. Although such challenges can become barriers to the successful integration of citizen science into mainstream education systems, they also serve as signposts for possible synergies and opportunities. One of the key emerging recommendations is to align educational learning outcomes with citizen science project goals at the planning stage of the project using co-creation approaches to ensure issues of accessibility and inclusivity are paramount throughout the design and implementation of every project. Only then can citizen science realise its true potential to empower citizens to take ownership of their own science education and learning.
