    Abstract Cost conversations are essential to informed consent because patients have a right to information that they think is relevant, and patients overwhelmingly report that cost information is relevant to their medical decisions. Providers have an ethical responsibility to provide necessary information for informed consent, and therefore must discuss costs. The Shared Decision Making model is ideal for enabling this exchange of information, and decision aids are also helpful. Although barriers exist, many useful tools can help providers fulfill this obligation, and encouraging progress is being made to improve cost transparency from insurers and facilities.

    Abstract Objective: The purpose of this case report is to describe the conservative treatment of a patient with musculoskeletal knee pain associated with a benign femoral osteochondroma.
    Clinical features: An 11-year-old boy with acute left knee pain for 1 week's duration presented for chiropractic evaluation. He attributed the pain to nontraumatic provocation during football and a pre-existing benign osteochondroma located in his left femoral epiphysis. He had pain throughout his posteromedial knee and distal thigh, attributed to acute irritation of the surrounding adductor and medial hamstring musculature. His orthopedic surgeon had recommended delaying surgical excision. The patient presented for conservative pain management to continue participating in football.
    Intervention and outcome: A trial of conservative care was performed for 3 visits throughout 6 days. It consisted of therapeutic exercise in the form of end-range isometric exercises and gentle manual therapy, with self-management strategies including Kinesio Taping and cryotherapy. After 3 visits the patient's acute pain declined and his function and ranges of motion returned to baseline, which allowed him to continue participating in youth football unrestricted.
    Conclusion: A young athlete with knee pain, likely associated with a distal femoral osteochondroma, was managed with a short course of chiropractic care. The patient was able to continue participating in youth football and required no further care.

    Abstract It is widely accepted that most misadventures, which lead to harm have not occurred because of a single individual but rather due to a failure of process that results in healthcare workers making mistakes. This failure of process and the pervasiveness of adverse events is just as prevalent in Interventional Radiology (IR) as it is in other specialities. The true prevalence and prevailing aetiology of complications in IR are not exactly known as there is a paucity of investigative literature into this area; especially when compared with other more established disciplines such as Surgery. Some IR procedures have a higher risk profile than others. However, published data suggests that many adverse events in IR are preventable (55-84%) and frequently involve a device related complication such as improper usage or malfunction. This article aims to discuss factors that contribute to complications in IR along with tools and strategies for dealing with them to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

    Abstract Exciting advances in generative artificial intelligence (AI) have sparked concern for jobs, education, productivity, and the future of work. As with past technologies, generative AI may not lead to mass unemployment. But, unlike past technologies, generative AI is creative, cognitive, and potentially ubiquitous which makes the usual assumptions of automation predictions ill-suited for today. Existing projections suggest that generative AI will impact workers in occupations that were previously considered immune to automation. As AI's full set of capabilities and applications emerge, policy makers should promote workers' career adaptability. This goal requires improved data on job separations and unemployment by locality and job titles in order to identify early-indicators for the workers facing labor disruption. Further, prudent policy should incentivize education programs to accommodate learning with AI as a tool while preparing students for the demands of the future of work.
