Abstract | To investigate the possibility of identifying commercial organic teas from conventional teas based on their isotopic signatures, we sampled tea leaves and soil samples from three tea gardens in Pu'er, China, that underwent decades of certified organic cultivation and compared them with adjacent conventional gardens. We found that long-term organic tea cultivation increased the soil organic carbon and soil pH but significantly decreased the total N content of tea. Higher δ |
